Show was totally not what I expected but the main character was a really good performer.

The Fox on the Fairway performance by Theatre Baton Rouge is hysterical! The characters were perfectly cast with great chemistry between the actors. Absolutely worth checking out if you want a great laugh!!The bar was open before and during intermission with plastic cups available to bring inside the theater. (Not sure if that is always allowed since I saw signs requesting no food or drink inside the theater.)$6 wine, can’t beat it!

Guys & Dolls just blew me away! From the amazing cast and directors, choreography, music and even the set and costume design...the audiences were treated to nothing but true theater magic this weekend! If you missed out, dont miss the next one. The sell-out Sunday performance was one to remember. Expect to see some of these young actors on Broadway. Thank you to Theater Baton Rouges Young Actors Program and all of the partners that make these shows a reality.

A beautiful set and talented cast made a magical afternoon performance or A Christmas Carol. The props were incredible. The aisles were spacious. I showed up early to watch the cast sing carols.

Fantastic show, very professional, very well produced. The music for the show was all live, and sounded great. The set was very well designed and the lighting was superb. The actors were very skilled and clearly the director did an outstanding job as well. I also really liked the space. Impressed, and if the show I saw is consistent with quality of the other productions here I recommend the theatre to everyone.

This years version of A Christmas Carol is better than ever! Truly professionally done the effects are just amazing and a Christmas tradition lives on! I want to go back! :-)

Theatre Baton Rouge is located in an unassuming space that looks like it may have been a shopping center way back when. I first went to a show here to fulfill a course requirement for a class I was taking. I was expecting your run of the mill community theatre experience, and boy was I wrong! They put on incredibly professional performances, featuring a very accomplished troupe of performers and an excellent musical group. Im not sure Ive seen a community theatre that had an orchestra pit before. Ive seen many shows here over the years (we drive in from over an hour away to see them) and have never been disappointed. You owe it to yourself to experience the magic that goes on behind the curtain at Theatre Baton Rouge.

Wonderful productions! Many are on par with shows Ive seen on Broadway in NYC.

In other large cities, live theatre can be found everywhere. Though Baton Rouge doesn’t have much live theatre, Theatre Baton Rouge executes the job far better than most other theatres. The theatre is comfortable, lighting and stage is well designed, and there isn’t a bad seat in the house. I only wish a large company would sponsor them to allow them to go above and beyond to really give Baton Rouge the much needed culture boost.

This theater continues to exceed my expectations. Many of the individual performances are memorable - but quite often its the set design that I find unforgettable. Plus, I give them bonus points for the wine served in an optional travel cup.

We saw Rocky Horror Picture Show in the smaller theater. It was great being closer to the cast, and very comfortable. The show was excellent.

Beautiful theater. Wonderful operation.The quality of the shows, the caliber of the actors, and overall experience at this theater is far better than what you would expect from a little theater. You get every penny of your moneys worth, support the local arts, and have actors/actresses that truly care about every performance.

Shows vary in style, something for everyones taste during the season. New comfortable seating. Sound & lights well done. Staging varies from great to elaborate. Fine variety in costumes. Its not Broadway, but excellent performances by local theater.

Saw Beauty and the Beast. The staff was fantastically friendly and helpful. They even opened a second bathroom to help everyone get back to their seat during intermission. The venue was small enough that every seat was a good seat. And of course the show was AMAZING!

Why does a play have to include a political content when it is not a play about politics? Play was great until the insertion of the few comments.

We attended an amazing production at TBR tonight.

Went to see One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. The play was boring. One of the actors actually smoke on stage! I cannot stand smoke and I have a hard time breathing when there is smoke. I do not recommend this play.

What an amazing experience, just got home from watching Cabaret. All I can say is wow, such a great job the whole cast and crew did.

Beautiful sets, great lead actor, for a traditional version of A Christmas Carol.

After talking amongst friends, I am not the only one that feels this way.... some of the staff and cast can be a bit snooty and clickish. This place is in the middle of a dangerous neighborhood with a poorly lit parking lot. The building is a bit run down. Cast is low rate acting. This place had its hey days and it is long gone!

Productions are quality plays and well acted. Sets are done well & costumes are beautiful. Supported by the community with good attendance.

Just saw The Christmas Carol, and it was amazing! This theater knows how to put up a show!

I have been here a few times before without any problems, however this time I felt like I was cheated. I live over an hour away and was late this time. Apparently even if you paid for tickets and your not on time, even half time, they give away your seats to their ushers. So we waited outside for the rest of our family to finish The show. Very disappointed. The cast is very talented if your able to get in.

I went to see Cabaret. The production was amazing. The actual theater was comfortable. The bartenders were professional and kind.

Great play Fun Home diminished somewhat by poor acoustics and not enough AC/ventilation in the black box Studio Space.

There is a wide variety of great plays & musicals, with performers of all ages! A bar is located within the building, just outside of the theater doors, where bartenders serve mixed drinks, wine & sodas. There is a Meet & Greet with the plays cast, immediately following the shows curtain call. Its a nice place to spend a unique evening!
