The River Center was spacious and comfortable! We enjoyed the dance performance we attended. Wish parking was a little closer, but overall a pleasant experience. Inside the river center, be prepared for a lot of moving in your row because of seats go completely across from end to end. We had to get up several times during the performances for individuals going to bathroom, food, etc.
As someone who frequents many skating rinks and works at one, this one was the worst. Though I give them credit for resurfacing, nice ice, nice rental skates, and necessities, the staff was awful. The staff ruined the experience completely. Walking in, waiting, and on the ice, everyone was rude when talking to me or my family. Would not recommend if you are looking for a fun or calm experience, I was rather angry and displeased the entire time.
So excited to finally see a performance at the River Center... yet, arrived 1 Hour early to ensure close parking and easy seating and even though tickets for 2 were well above 2 hundred dollars, EVERYONE (INCLUDING ALL DISABLED) were forced to wait outside in the cold night air until doors opened... THEN, when doors Finally Opened we were again forced to wait in the halls for an extended period until someone finally allowed the auditorium doors open! Once inside, I discovered that we all enjoyed a theatrical production sitting Snuggly inside a preposterously Tiny can of sardines. Aside from the major problems, everything else was wonderful! The audience was happy to finally witness the performance company and the workers did a great job controlling the hall & the people. You guys get a 2 out of 5 because its outright ridiculous to stuff people that pay an Extremely High Price to feel like a sardine just so you bring in more money!! The only perk was a $4.00 bottle of water which again is all about the money!! In such a small town, you should be able to draw people from much of the state if you Just make it welcoming for the 3 hours that YOUR GUESTS will be there....
Handicap parking. EasyTo find and easy to get out.Huge number of HandicapPeople in attendance at aBallet performance on a FridayNight
Show was great. Seats were uncomfortable and a bit tight. We were packed in like sardines. Air conditioning was not keeping up and it was quite stuffy. We left during intermission despite having paid $70+ per ticket. Ive heard that renovations are in the near future but well see.
Each time I have visit the center with my family has always been wonderful, theres plenty of parking spaces and security present available, which help make the visit to the center enjoyable .
Had a whole lot of fun... Security was extremely friendly and helpful
The venue is large. They must have redid the seats since the last time i went. Seats are so small. You have no leg room. No one can even pass in front of you to go to the bathroom with the whole row of people getting up. Hot. The food locations inside are the best things available. Lines were really slow though for food. River center needs to do better. I went to see wwe live. The show was great but being cramped in a supersmall seat for 4 hrs was not fun
I went here for the buddy holly show a couple months ago with 4 guests. One of my seats was taken, and the usher was no help so we had to sit about 4 rows back further than what our tickets were.
Beautiful venue. Really enjoyed the performance!
Dated facility, make sure you are aware of the entrances prior to arriving.
Place was nice just no heater for some reason everyone was cold
My first time here. Really had a good time here.
Cozy theatre with some great shows that come through.
A nice place for performances
Its so hot in here and the humidity is crazy. There is also hardly any room to walk down the aisles. I was also sad they burned my pretzel and gave me stale popcorn. What a crappy venue. I wont return.
Shen Yun was wonderful, however, a little warm at times
Very flexible venue and extremely well-kept and managed.
Great place for family fun when there are kid friendly events.
Great place. Need more concession choices, though.
Arena could use an update, but the new convention center is nice.
Attended a performance of the Baton Rouge symphony. Friendly, helpful staff, clean bathrooms.
Getting ready for Mary J Blige concert on Valentines day come with me
The roof was leaking on the floor and it was too hot in the building. There were no signs of maps given to tell you exactly where to go and it was poring rain. Confusing when you have 2 events going on and no signs on where to go. Some of the staff was rude also.
They were so awesome in helping the people displaced by the flooding.
Excellent venue, showing its age a bit.
Love coming here to watch performances!
Great performance.
Went to see a Broadway Musical and while it was great the seating was cramped
This arena is definitely very dated and not on par with the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, however I find nothing majorly wrong with it that would stop you from coming here for any functions
Pass on Paw patrol

Hot inside
Old faithful

Dance recital was great
Beautiful
No bad seats!
Great venue for a concert
Parking, driving nightmare
Amazing! Loved the experience!
Seats and aisles are too close together, uncomfortable. Service to buy drinks is always very slow, its like they dont want you to buy anything. Been here at least 15 times, it doesnt change.
Always a good show
Wen to see Home Free. Could use more signage for directions.
Consseion were quit expensive

Nice
Perfect venue for a danceReview
Clean, comfortable, in the middle of downtown.
Great location
The building was 85℉ all through the show and the concession stands are super slow.
Great place to take family
Its nice
Nice facility
Hallway crowded and almost dangerous. Stairs inside arena not lit well and very steep.
