Pretty and stately like an old plantation home. The room with the wall murals and the circular staircase were my favorite. The Christmas decorations are tasteful and understated. And the smaller trees with ornaments from school children were too cute. For $100 you can have your name carved into one of the bricks around the patios and walkways. Its a fundraiser for the foundation that maintains the mansion.

My first time. Mrs. Edwards even came to greet us. Very friendly and intelligent person.We had a great time. Beautiful Governors Mansion. Everyone were very gracious.

Met with Gov. Edwards and other members of his staff for dinner and discussion. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and appreciate the time taken for the opportunity. Food was good too!

I had a great time and met governor Jon Bel Edwards. Upon leaving, the staff gave me a bag of fresh-baked cookies that were out of this world.

My students were treated like royalty. The first lady came out to meet them and she tweeted a picture with them. The tour is so informative and engaging for 8th graders...plus the cookies at the end are the perfect southern touch and yummy! JCE loved it...thanks!!
