This is a great place to sit on a bench or the grass to have a picnic or eat an ice cream. Breathe in the fresh air and people watch. Its a very clean park with beautiful landscaping.

A nice spot to people watch, and take a break from all that Bar Harbor has to offer. I love the fountain.

With all the hustle bustle in Bar Harbor, Village Green offers a green respite in the middle of the central commercial corridor. There are some benches and some memorials to view within the park. You may just to sit down and soak up some sun. You cannot help to run through the park if you are in town.

Beautiful park. Great meeting place if you’re wandering around downtown with a large group. Also the site of the bus stop for various buses is going into Acadia National Park. There are also a set a very nice, clean bathrooms located here. The park has plenty of benches and interesting things to look at, too. Beautiful! Five stars!

Nice open space near the piers and the main drag. Has a bathroom near the town side and is within sight of the shore side bathroom near the Port Authority. Musicians sometimes play here also.

There is so much to do in Bar Harbor, but this little gem in the heart of town makes it tempting to do nothing at all! It is a wonderful spot to take a break and watch the crowds go by.

Nice popular park that has lots of people in at during the summer time. At night it is really fun to hang around this park for there are some sweet lights and lots of interesting people doing cool things. They will have events here too which is nice. Parking is wherever is available. Somewhat flat here, a little bit of an incline. It is a nice.

I came upon this public space around 10pm. It was a nice summer night and the interaction of the people made for a magical sight.

This is clearly where people who dont know how to enjoy their environs come to buy some enjoyment.

Love the shops and coziness of the town, everything is priced a little high but what youd expect from a tourist venue. Id recommend route 66 dinner, but I heard good things about most of them.

What a charming place to visit. Lots of cute shops, bought some locally made gifts and art, had a yummy lobster roll, stayed at a nice hotel, listened to the church bell ring, and really loved the water views.

Nice for a stroll and to people watch and simply take in Bar Harbor.

Numerous shops and restaurants. Can be very busy and congested. Paid parking. I would suggest using the L.L.Bean sponsored Adventure Buses if possible to Village Green and throughout the National Park as well.

The shuttle service here is great. It is an excellent way to see the park. The shuttle drops you off and picked you up, you can sight see and enjoy the ride runs all day so you can do what you want and dont have to find a place to park. More parks should have this service. Best of all it is free. L. L. Bean is a great sponsor of this service. If you love the outdoors, please buy from the people that are helping to save the environment. Beautiful park situated in the center of Bar Harbor. Nice place to let the kids and doggies run around. They also have live music at the gazebo on certain nights. Beautiful park in a beautiful town.

The village green is a nice meet-up area in Bar Harbor. Its a pretty little park-type area where the buses pick up/drop off and is right in the center of the town. Its easy to find and very conveniently located.

Great place to hangout and do some serious people watching. Shaded seating and located in the center of shopping for the spouse. Food and drink across the street in three directions.

Everything was excellent, especially the food. Very nice inside and great service. Every dish I have had here was delicious; this was my 3rd time. Get the Brussels sprouts, Salmon and/ or haddock encrusted with pistachios!! Yum

Nice place to sit. Buses leave from here. Make sure you bring your national park permit in order to ride the buses for free into Acadia park. Unfortunately, we didnt bring ours.

Village Green is just a park. People there are very helpful when asking questions. You can switch bus loops there. The park is nice, but there is no reason to rate it 5 stars. Its a park...

A nice park with a fountain and WWII monument. My family finished our ice cream here in the shade on the 4th. Later we came back to listen to the community band play patriotic music in the bandstand/gazebo. A great place to relax in while enjoying Bar Harbor.

The true taste of Acadia National Park on the coast of Maine. Please allow for at least a full day to visit and appreciate this fabulous treasure.

Great location to catch the bus. Plenty of stores and food options. We would get an icecream when we had to wait for the free bus which was never a long wait. Plenty of people working at village green to answer any questions we had

What a great place you have there Bar Harbor. The village Green is a beautiful centralized location to meet up in town, public restrooms, shuttle stop, and nice little shops line the sidewalks. Here is a happy humming bird.

Really nice, but small, downtown park. Most important function is the main island explorer bus service transfer center.

This park is beautifully located right on the water in Bar Harbor. It has gazebos and a very clean public restroom, as well as plenty of benches to sit on and a gorgeous fountain. We spent time here enjoying a coffee from the nearby shops along with the stunning views. It is very near to the end of one part of the shore path.

Great during Summer season, night stroll, in the heart of downtown Bar Harbor. Probs the quintessential coast piece that ties the whole area in together anyways we love it & its Home!

Nice park in the center of Bar Harbor we were they when the local band was playing it was like a scene for a country movie. I was wonderful!

The four stars are for the drink. The food was good but it took more than an a hour for the food to be served. The server was kind to check with us and update us that the kitchen was backed up, but we missed a few attractions because of the delay. Its crowded and nice place for lunch.

Relaxing center of town. Beautiful gardens. Band concerts in July and August!

Clean park. Good shade trees. Relaxing area to walk pets and sit under shade trees. Also, this area is used as the bus/trolley hub.

Very pretty area to sit and enjoy surroundings. Tons of shops and food around. The only drawback is the parking here and in Bar Harbor in general is terrible from May to October.

The Village Green in Bar Harbor is a lovely area right in the center of town. It has a great gazebo, easy access to tons of nearby shops and restaurants, beautiful foliage in the fall, and usually isnt too crowded, even during peak seasons. Great spot to relax!

Small grassy park in town, its a decent place to kick your feet up but there are better places close by like the trail along the ocean

Super cute market square in the center of town. Lots of shops around as well as the meeting spot for a majority of the island express buses.

Bar Harbor a wonderful place to stay. Great atmosphere, food and just stunning scenery.

Great place to stop and rest and watch all the crazy tourist and the parking cop write tickets to all the Florida cars.

Popovers served warm with butter and strawbury jam...delish! All the while looking at Jordan Pond and Bubble...as the backdrop. Be sure to build a stop in here on your visit to Acadia. And the gift shop has anything Acadia one might want.

Bus changed last bus leaves at 730pm. Why would you want to change the schedule until after Labor Day. There was alot of older people waiting for the bus after 730pm that could not make it to the place they were staying by walking . The local government should consider changing the date next year. All said this is a beautiful part of our great nation everyone should see

There was a delightful community band performing in the Village Green this evening. I heard some recognizable tunes by the Beatles and several Broadway classics. It was a great way to end the day before hopping onto the Island Explorer and riding back to my hotel.

I stayed at the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel and enjoyed the beautiful scenery at quaint shops at the Village Green.

Village Green is a pleasant park in the center of Bar Harbor. Lots of eateries and touristy shops. Very hard to park or drive through.

Nice, green (trees and grass), small park in the center(ish) of Bar Harbor. Has a good sized bike rack, so we had room for locking up our bikes after getting off the bus, so we could explore the town. The Village Green is the main bus station for catching the bus to the Visitor Center and buses for other routes on Mount Desert Island.

This place is a must visit in Bar Harbor-the central place to hang out, play, and overall chill out in Downtown. There is a gazebo with bands playing seasonally, and there is many stores nearby. All Island Explorer buses start here, so is great way to get around the island quick. Information about Acadia National Park is across the street, and to the Shore Path is across the street too. However, the restrooms are not sanitary and need a good scrub. For this, I give the Village Green a 4/5.
