Was a good time have been the 1 time before and only thing is now you have to reserve a time i came with my family to enjoy a game and had to wait almost 2 hours for a slot to be open.. but was cool spot

We played the Dark Carnival with 2 random people, but it was still a very enjoyable time. A lot of the puzzles were well designed and fun to solve. Some of them didnt feel as connected or laid out so we had to ask for help to get a better understanding. I really wish we could have had an actual interaction with our game master rather than a screen to tell us things, some parts would have been better to be spoken to us.

Had a fun time, staff were nice, puzzles were challenging, better than many other escape rooms weve been to, not as good as a couple of others. Would come again.

We did the Dark Carnival room a few days ago. The room was fun and Eileen did a great job running the game! We were a little late and she was more than happy to accommodate us.We were a little frustrated with the final puzzle, which was essentially a guessing game on a box that locks you out.

My girlfriend and I have played over 80 rooms, and we had a blast escaping at Charm City Clue Room! Each room is 1 hour; we escaped each with about 9 minutes left. It was only the 2 of us in each room.The Dark Carnival was our favorite of the 2 we played. Not only was the theme stellar, the puzzles were clever with creative twists. Not many puzzles use technology, which was a good thing as it resulted in unique puzzles we had to actually think about to solve. Also, in case you were worried, no - the room is not scary - its fine for any adult, so be brave!The Poe room featured some fun surprises and several truly enjoyable puzzles! We had a brief tech failure during the game, and the Game Master were on it within seconds, getting us back on track seamlessly.The puzzles were incredibly creative and a joy to solve! We are already planning our return visit to conquer the remaining rooms!

The rooms werent as fluid as other escape rooms that we have done. Unfortunately a few things were just guessing.... even the game master told us that people just randomly guess on a very important clue....They also dont explain all of their locks... Im not talking about common sense locks, but lock boxes that are not common and only allow a few tries before it locks you out

Challenging and fun games! Interesting room themes as well. Carnival room was creepy, but not too scary. The staff was also very upbeat, helpful, and polite. Would recommend!

Family had a great time. The younguns did the heavy brain work. I checked for secret passages, trapdoors, and red herrings. Great family/friend fun.

Our group had a lot of fun here. We did the Poe room and it was definitely challangeing. I think we got close but did not solve the puzzle in the 1 hour time limit. Im not sure we would have made it as far without a few hints, some of the solutions are a little obtuse. Still a great time and absolutely worth doing.

Full of fun, tricky puzzles. It takes little time to get immersed in the challenge. It was our first escape room so we hit tons of dead ends but received hints to help inch us through. Overall a great experience.

Very cool place, the rooms are tough but compared to other escape rooms I really enjoyed this one. I didnt get the feeling that we were being walked through everything too easily. You really have to focus and work as a team. I will definitely be coming back, staff was was very friendly.

Very neat little escape room in the popular power plant live area. Prices are a tad high but manageable and a few of the props are worn out due to everyday wear and tear. Cool themed rooms and challenging puzzles make this a place you should visit.

Dont want to give away too much, but fun puzzles and cool themes. Both times Ive done it, its been just me and one other person. Makes it a little more difficult with only two people, but the staff do a good job assisting you via the in-room screens.

First time Ive ever been to an escape room, and I have to say it was quite the experience. I did the circus one, and I highly recommend it too. Tricky, yet intriguing. Normally I wouldnt like being locked in a room, but this was fun finding my way out

I was booked by myself and they were very accommodating. All the staffs were very helpful and I had great time.

We did the Oval portrait room, and it was really good! Had 8 people, and it was pretty difficult (in a good way) and we solved it literally with moments to spare. For groups looking for a fun challenge, this is your escape room! Staff is very nice too.

This place is awesome!! 5 of us opted for the spy room and I was very impressed by the creativity and cleverness of the clues- not to mention we made it out of the room with 3 minutes left so it was entertaining to say the least. Cost per person is $29 but the experience was well worth it. The staff member we worked with was polite and helpful. Charm City Clue Room is perfect for a group outing, and I will definitely be back to escape from the other rooms!

Pretty nice escape room venue. Did both Poe and Dark Carnival. Both rooms were above average in general, but probably about average for the area, which is good because there are a few great rooms at nearby venues. I recommend this place if youre looking to kill a couple hours with a group of friends.

Very disappointing experience here. First, the staff seemed like they didn’t really know what they were doing. We were told not to bother with one prop in the room...but after 10 minutes in the room, we found a key on the same prop we were told not to touch. At one point, one of the game masters came in the room and couldn’t figure out one of the locks. If the game master can’t figure it out, how do you expect customers to? Puzzles were made so 2 people can’t solve them, even though 2 people is the minimum allowed in the room. At one point, we had asked for a clue 4 times because we didn’t understand what we were supposed to do and we were told to use the clues we have. I found this to be very rude and unhelpful. The game master saw we had been having difficulty with the puzzle for quite some time. This was our 21st escape room and the first room we didn’t escape because we physically couldn’t do the puzzles due to having only 2 people. The girl told us at the end that the room was basically not possible with only 2 people, which would’ve been nice to know when we were choosing the room. Had this been our first escape room, we wouldn’t try any other escape rooms... we definitely won’t be coming back to this one and would not recommend this company to any friends or family. I considered buying gift certificates for my family to come here, but I’m glad I didn’t. We will take our business somewhere the employees have more knowledge of the rooms and are actually helpful.

This was my second time doing a clue room but was my first experience solving it completely. Such a neat and creative place and was well put together. The Poe room was challenging and was well thought through. We were able to complete it with 4 minutes left and cannot stop talking about how cool it was. The staff was overwhelmingly knowledgeable and friendly and went out of their way to help make our experience a memorable one. Thank you charm city clue for making this an experience that we will be sure to come back to. Cant wait for the next challenge!

This was our fourth Clue/Escape Room experience and it was one of the best, if not the best. We did the Poe room (6 of us) and I understand why the success rate is 30% or so. We did escape in time, but our past experiences definitely helped us along the way. Anyways, the facility was very nice, the manager (owner?) was very enthusiastic and did a great job explaining things to us before AND after the challenge. I would highly recommend this Clue Room

Fun! Lots of different types of clues and word play. In our room The puzzles appeared to be linear in nature (you can only solve one puzzle at a time). Other rooms Ive done elsewhere have a multiple puzzles you work on at the same time. Not a bad thing, just something i thought Id highlight.

Charm City Clue Room is a great escape room experience. Each rooms theme is tied to Baltimores history and the clues were the perfect level of difficulty where it required teamwork to figure it out but wasnt impossible. We did the Poe room and even though it only has a 35% escape rate, we were able to escape with only 4 minutes to spare! The staff were friendly and helpful and really made the experience. I would definitely recommend Charm City Clue Room as the #1 escape room in Baltimore!

Did the B&O Railroad and the Poe room - both were awesome! There were plenty of unique twists and turns to keep the neurons firing in different directions. I definitely recommend checking this place out, and I cant wait to come back for the Dark Carnival room!

The escape room we did was phenomenally clever and fun. Definitely worth it.

Did the Edgar Allen Poe themed room and it was great! Our group of four loved the challenge it offered without being overbearing. The puzzles were inventive with multiple pieces and steps to lead to bigger clues! It was our first time, but it definitely wont be our last!

Wasnt too sure how fun this would be but ended up having a great time here! Staff was great and puzzles were a lot of fun. They gave just enough little hints to keep you from getting too stuck for too long but not enough where it took away from the experience. It definitely would have been cool to have 2 hours with absolutely no help what so ever. You dont need any specific level of education to go here, I think the puzzles are very fair and most play more off of life experiences than they do book smarts. One hour goes by super quick. Would love to give more info but I dont want to give anything away. Youll just have to check it out for yourself! ;)Also, if youre going with a group and splitting up; consider doing 1 room then switching and doing the other. The drive home without talking about your room (in case you go back) is really hard!

I never write reviews but this place was great. Did the poe room with one other person and we barely escaped with eighteen seconds! Friendly staff, challenging puzzles, great sense of atmosphere. Spooky and fun! Dont give you too many hints but dont let you bang your head against the wall chasing dead ends. Would recommend to anyone with an hour to spare!

Lots of fun, unfortunately we didnt get out in time. The last set of puzzles was a doozy! Of course this was my first time in an escape room and we picked the hardest one!

I expected it to be more daunting and involved like a maze or something... it was ok. i was invited by someone else & probably wouldnt spend my own money to go back...but it would make for a fun group event after drinking

This place is awesome! They set up such and amazing experience for a good price. Doing this was WELL worth the 3-4 beers you could get for the same amount of money. The moderators make you feel very safe by giving you clues when you need them. One word: Unforgettable!

Took my mom for her 75th birthday, we had a great time at the Poe Room. They were excellent hosts and the puzzles employed a good combination of thought processes. The whole family enjoyed it, and each other which is not always easy when the eight of us are locked in room together. Hopefully well get together and come back for another mystery soon.

Kind of hard to find building, but good service and experience.

Id never done an escape room before, but this was great! I grew up on puzzle games, riddles and brain twisters and the Poe Room had an excellent collection of them! Our group was a mix of friends and strangers, and we all ended up working really well together. Told my wife I want to go back for my birthday! They have 3 different rooms, and the Poe Room is advertised as their hardest, with a 35% success rate. I could certainly see why! I highly recommend going!

Awesome experience. My company went for a team building exercise. We had two teams that did the Spy room and the Poe room. Neither of the teams escaped but it was fun and exciting! Cant wait to do it again!

Had a terrible experience here. The employee there was rude, and the rooms are tiny, we had to leave because they squeezed 8 people in a cardbox sized room! Definitely would not have been able to stay there for an hour.

Its a fun evening out. The area is $$$ if you plan on dinner and drinks afterward. Weekends are hell in this area too.
