We attended the Kids Bops World Tour 2019 concert. This was our first time attending an event at the pavilion. I really liked this location because its an open area and the sound was not over powering. The prices were ridiculous, $5 for a bottle of water just to give an example. But Im not sure if this is the pricing for all events because I mostly attend concerts for local bands. I would say to be mindful of seating. The middle rows would be more ideal for this location because we sat left of the stage, in the second row of seats and our view was obstructed by a support pillar. And there is not much leg room. If you need to have more space then the lawn area would be better for you, but it is much further back from the stage than I thought. If you do choose to sit on the lawn make sure to bring a chair. Maybe a blanket if the event youre attending isnt heavily attended because this area seemed very crowded for the concert we attended and you will have trouble seeing. Overall, I liked this location and will plan to attend events here in the future.
Very cool and stylish Pavilion in Baltimores inner harbor. Located near the Baltimore Marriott and 4 Seasons. A parking lot and garage are located right next to the venue. Food and drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) are available in the venue. Amazing sound. Folding chairs and blankets permitted on the lawn area. Bag check. Great prices.
Great place for concerts. Really good acoustics and seating (a little tight). Stage is great visually when everyone is seated. Really enjoyed the Three Doors Down and Collective Soul concert even with the pouring rain. Kudos to the band for the safety of the patrons during the storm. Personally would go see other concerts here. Hats off to Security for a non eventful night.
Venue was smaller than anticipated, but still a great experience! Security was friendly and staff was nice. Was in the pit to see Bring Me The Horizon. Pit was extremely nice because you are able to walk in and out at any time and come back in, no hassle. Photo attached taken from the back of the pit, great views the whole time! (5.11.19)
They have awesome concerts, but need to have a little more reasonable prices for low income families. Plus have a couple of concert dates like for the children concert. Like Kidz bop. Last yr wanted to take my grandchildren but they only had $100 seats left and they wasnt together. It hurt my feeling because I couldnt afford it. I was blessed this yr
Great venue! Line going in moved quickly and efficiently. Theres a separate line for people pit tickets that really went fast. The Ladies room has an attendent and is kept clean and stocked. The food is pricey and beer is outrageous. The only negative to the pit is not getting the entirety of the sound. We heard a lot of the instruments and not as much of the vocals.
Would be five stars if it was a non-smoking venue. When youre hosting a crowd there should be a smoking ban even if its outdoors. Clean air for everyone, please!
Loved this quaint venue! We sat on the lawn, and enjoy the beautiful concert! Enjoyed the beautiful view the downtown skyline. The sound system was excellent. Didnt care to pay thirty bucks for parking, but I guess thats to be expected these days. Will get down much earlier for the next concert, in order to take in some of the food and sites around the area.
Cool place
Pier Six is an ok venue. I gave it 3 stars because it was a beautiful summer night & I enjoy the option of being outside for a concert so it works for me. I felt like the exiting process wasnt as smooth as it could have been cos of the layout. Also you cant be dropped in front of the arena, you have to be dropped off at a nearby street, follow the crowd across a bridge above a body of water before walking a few minutes to the arena itself. I enjoyed my concert and no doubt it was in small part to the arena.
The beautiful view from the Pavilion to the city and bay. Great place for concerts and just having an amazing time.
Beautiful venue directly in the heart of the city, parking is reasonably priced.
Great music great times
Awesome facility. Everything was great but the prices of food and drinks 5.50 for a 20oz soda or water. 10.00 for the cheapest beer. But i guess that is to be expected. So eat before you go. I cant wait till the next band i would like to see is there.
This pavilion is actually really cute and awesome! Its a little smaller to other outside venues that I have been too but its okay because I felt more involved with the concert and the people around me. I would definitely go back to another concert here for sure! Also its right on the water, and that makes it evwn better!
Terrible roid-rage security. Expect to sit in your seat and shut up. No standing around or appreciating the music. It’d be nice to see management change. Waste of a great waterfront venue. Here’s a tip, concerts are meant to be fun! Lighten up and treat your guests like guests instead of prisoners
Perfect venue. Amazing friendly and helpful staff. Great show altogether!
Cool venue. Good views even from the lawn.
Great venue for concerts!
Good venue. Decent staff, good view, and decent sound.
This has become one of my favorite venues (after one visit). You cant beat the city/water view, and despite sitting in the back of the reserved seating I still feel like we had a decent view. We found cheap tickets on StubHub. We also got extremely lucky with the weather and there was a nice breeze coming off the water.
Great venue with a beautiful view. Right on the water.
Anderson Paak .The best Teeth in the game.awesome concert, awesome place,
Beautiful outdoor venue. Reminds me of a smaller Meadowbrook like in the lakes region of NH
This has always been a pretty good venue to see great acts with incredible views. It looks like theyve stepped up their game over the years with some cosmetic, seating, and sound improvements and i now consider this an incredibly great venue!
Nice venue; however, the sound system was terrible in the half of pavilion closest to the stage. I could have paid a lot less and heard the concert better. So you have to determine whether you want better sight of the performers or better sound.
Beautiful location for a venue! Right on the harbour with stunning views! Cheap parking if you get parking ticket validated by arena for harbour parking garage. A little hard to see the stage over top of people if your standing on the lawn. Tight security on entry and lots of staff around the venue. Only certain items allowed in and thats all your going to get in.
Baltimore is a very nice place especially the harbor.
Great place for a concert. Saw Rebelution. Good sound throughout the entire area.
Great sight lines and good sound.
Not a bad seat in the place. We saw a great concert, the sound was fantastic. Very enjoyable for our first visit. We will go again.
We love this venue! They bring great entertainment and the scenery on the water never gets old.
Great location, clean, entry system is very good. The sound was awful though; bass was so extremely loud it drowned out everything else. The lead guitars, vocals, it was next to impossible to hear a tune or understand, or even hear much that was sung or spoken. Even the music before the show was the same. I know every Alter Bridge song by heart, but couldnt even figure out some songs until after a minute or so. Without a doubt it was the absolute worst sound system Ive experienced. The stage was entirely too dark also. A good part of the time the performers didnt have any light on or near them at all. This venue needs sound and lighting assistance in the worst way. I dont ever plan to return.
Good concert but acoustics are variable Lovely location on the water with views around harbor. Drinks and food are city-priced...crushes are refreshing and hydrating. Helpful staff and clean portable toilets. You can bring unopened water bottles. Look a block or two away for affordable parking...use Spothero for best value.
Godsmack in New years Day
Just walking around this place and took a several pictures. Close to bay and big buildings next to another side.
I really liked that this venue was easy to get in and out of. No long wait to do either. Also I had a great view from the seats I had.
Not a bad venue for medium-sized concerts. No recycling bins. Try to come early to quickly get through security. Usually a number of food and beverage vendors but youll be doing yourself a disservice if you dont take advantage of the many dining options Baltimore offers within easy walking distance (Inner Harbor, Harbor East, Little Italy, etc.) before your event.
Great venue. Small but spacious. The lawn isnt very elevated but the sound quality isnt at all diminished. Theres a nice walkway area away from the pavilion and a hotel next door. Bathrooms usually have a line for the popular shows but outside of that I love this venue.
Im here quite a bit and after the remodel the venue is so much better. The only downside to this location is parking. Which is pretty much nothing during any event. However, parking can be found across the street at pier 5 for $25 during events. Sometimes $30. Sound system is great and security check is quick.
Seems like seat views are good from most seats. Acoustics were good and loud, I read compaints from other reviews about sound not being good. Its an outdoor venue so its going to sound different from closed in arenas or theaters. It also depends on the one running sound. Have to have someone who knows what their doing. This was my first time being @ MECU Pavilion and it met my expectations.
I adore this venue because it is more intimate, has easy access to parking, and is somewhat local. Ive been there multiple times and I think the sound system is quite good. I love in particular that it is an open air setting with cover. Seats are fairly comfortable and Im very sensitive to this because of a bad back. Restrooms were clean without crazy lines for females and there was more than one merch area to buy items from your favorite artists. Food wasnt impressive, but it also wasnt awful.
I have always loved this venue. There have been lots of renovations to this venue recently and its I great shape. There are a number of parking garages within a 2-3 block walk of the venue. Pro parking tip if you if you park in the Little Italy garage on the corner of Pratt & President Streets be warned this is NOT a 24 hour garage. You must get your car out by midnight or your car will be locked in for the night!
MECU (formerly pier 6) is and will always be a stellar complex for outdoor performances throughout the spring-fall season. plenty of lawn space to bring a blanket or lawn chair (only permitted at certain shows). typical venue snacks and beverages (mixed, drafts, bottles, cans). be aware that box office is only open on show days/nights, however you can purchase MECU pavilion tickets at Royal Farms Arena Box (that is when theyre open)
First time attending an event here and it definitely will not be my last! We saw The Glorious Sons and The Struts and it was incredible. Sounds was perfect, staff was friendly and helpful, and the good was very good!
Good area, kind of small but nice. So youll always be pretty close to the stage no matter where the seat is unless its on the field
Staff can be a little assy but good venue
First time at this venue and I really enjoyed it! We had 4th row center seats to see Boyz II Men. The stage was pretty close which was a plus & negative because there wasnt much room to move around in front to catch the rose the group throws during part of the show. Also, the security was a little extra about keeping the isles clear. I have to shout out to the bathroom attendants because the womens bathroom was the cleanest & best smelling Ive seen at an outdoor concert venue! The venue is in a nice area with lots of great restaurants around it.
Great food and drink options along with great views!
This venue is right on the water for great views and backdrop, and manages to book some great acts for its size. The parking very close is expensive, but there are reasonable alternatives 3 to 4 blocks away. The bathrooms are clean and the staff friendly, we always enjoy the shows we see here! Lots of food options in the area for before or after a show, and a safe walking around area top it off.
Great place to see a concert! Its a small venue with great sound and beautiful view s, surrounded by a countless number of places for a pre dinner meal or cocktails. You can go by car, train, foot, or boat.
Just saw the Anderson Paak show here last night. First time, but it’s a solid venue, great place to catch a show. If you want to stand, plenty of space for that. Want to have a seat? There are accommodations for that as well. It’s right off the water as well, so there is a nice little chill area to hang out before your show. Parking is ample right outside the venue and within a couple of blocks walk. Definitely can’t wait to come back and see another show here.
Awesome venue, right on the water in Baltimore. Great sightlines and sound, and easy accessibility make for good shows. Only downside is that the food and drinks are low quality and severely overpriced. Eat before or after the show and youll be good.
Nice, small venue for concerts. Food and drink are ridiculously priced as always so you should eat up before coming in because its 5 dollars for one bottle of water which is ridiculous. Otherwise, acoustics are fine and its a nice spot by the water to jam out to a concert.
Great venue, easy to find your way around. Open air is nice and seats have cupholders!
Great views but food & drink extremely expensive compared to value received. Better off taking cooler of beer, friends & family w/carry along chairs and finding a spot along seawall @Harbor East...Free Concerts that way without hassle of paying arm and a leg for tickets and accommodations inside venue!!!
Great music venue on the harbor
Look Ive never actually been here but I walk past it a lot and it looks like a pretty good spot. My buddy Chelsea from my life guarding days takes her boat and sits outside. What a freeloader! I guess they cant do anything about it. I guess thats what ya call a LOOPHOLE.
One of the best places to view an outdoor concert in the Baltimore Inner Harbor area! The acoustics is fantastic. You can easily hear the music and performers across the water on the Inner Harbor Walk, close to the Marriot. Love the grass knoll area view of Baltimore Harbor and stage is great still from the distance. Highly recommend if someone is Playing there that you know or Like go see them there!!
Great place to see a show. Being in the Harbor there are place to relax by the Water and still enjoy the show. Security staff were professional, yet kind to guests. One of the best outdoor concert places I have been to. I think it is underrated.
Baltimore... Babyyy! You have really come a long way. Outdoor concerts are just lovely. It was also fleet weekend. Many shops, also restaurants parking was also good ( Little Italy municipal parking. $5.00 cant bet that) Walk around, so much to see... Baltimore again so proud to see the change
Great experience, 4 bands including Carl Palmer group (ELP), at least 1 member from The Moody Blues group, ASIA, and YES, led by Steve Howe. (There are 2 iterations of YES). A fantastic show, with YES being utterly brilliant. Crosswinds kept the Pavilion cool. Very enjoyable!
One of the best concert venues Ive been to by far. Absolutely loved it! Great view, music, seating, and concessions
The lighthouse is a good place to checkout. Light city is held in the area. Another great art festival to checkout in Baltimore.
Clean, easy to find and navigate through. It was pouring rain the entire concert, but the giant tent made you forget you are technically outside. The wind even misted us with rain a bit which was a neat way of cooling off at a packed in event
Small venue. Great sound. Right in town next to the harbor, but tucked behind Phillips, Hard Rock, and Dicks Last resort.
Pavillion was okay. Sound was good. Yes it is a concert venue, but the food and drink options were extremely overpriced for what you get. I was told I wasnt allowed entry with spiked jewelry. So I took those off and entered. Only to find another patron had identical accessories on and was admitted without hassle and a smile. Next time an act comes to town to MECU Ill think twice about attending.
MECU Pavilion is a nicely sized venue, not too big and not too small. Amenities are somewhat lacking (bathrooms, seats are super tight, no TV screens) and location isnt the best for parking.
It was nice my seats was good to see the show. It was a little out in the area because it was hot outside. But for time to time I felt cool air. The food and drinks was good.
The venue itself is pretty nice, but two major complaints. 1) Beer choice is severely lacking and food choice is mediocre... The seafood truck and old timey truck save the food options from disaster. And 2) the two main speaker arrays on either side of the stage are aimed a bit too much over the top of the pit. A couple matched speakers on either side of the stage aimed straight out could improve the sound in the pit greatly.
I went to a Peter Frampton and Steve Miller Band concert there while a storm did delay it was pretty fun and then the picture is of a rainbow that came out afterwards. All together a pretty great night.
On a 90 plus degree day, its really hot in there. Would have given it a higher rating if I wasnt sweat soaked while watching the show. Nice location to enjoy dinner in a nearby restaurant before the show.
2019 Diner en Blanc was awesome!!
Good time clean place
They have some of the best bands. They have plenty of security stationed in and around the venue to keep everyone safe attending an event. The tshirts are reasonably priced and have plenty of different sizes. All the vendors accept cash and cards. The seats are a little crammed together but everyone from the front row to the very back have great seats. The prices of the tickets are reasonable compared to other larger venues. Parking is a challenge and very expensive. The best advice I can suggest is to locate a website that allows you to pre-reserve a parking space in one of the parking garages. If you take the light rail either stopping at Camden Yards or the Convention center be prepared to walk at least a mile to the venue. There are plenty of great restaurants that are next to the venue to dine at before the concert. The Inner Harbor is close to the venue to spend time before the concert. I highly recommend coming here, I plan to attend a few more concerts this summer.
Good sightlines, good seats, good sound system. What more could a concert goer ask for? There are plenty of restrooms (for men at least). Concessions are more expensive than they need to be but its going to be like that at any concert you go to.
Really awesome music venue. Usually has food and alcohol vendors. Priced as expected for a concert event. There are bathrooms on site.
Rather small venue for a-list bands. Most of the beverage vendors sell the same products with a very limited selection. At least the bathrooms are relatively clean!
Loved the beautiful outdoor open air atmosphere. Acoustics were great, parking was 40 dollars..
Awful, this venue is a shameful cash grab exhibiting a focus on filling seats instead of providing service. With cheap plastic seats that are very clearly designed for toddlers, and everything driven way up in price ($15 for a beer!). VIP seating is a joke, and even the band commented during the show about ALL the people watching the concert from outside the venue without having to pay. This is a venue to avoid unless you want to pay a premium to look at peoples backs and have your wallet taken advantage of. The worst way of experiencing Baltimore, which is ashame because the location on the waterfront is gorgeous.
Surprised how small venue is, but it makes the performances more intimate. Food trucks, bars and merchandise stands around perimeter. Great views.
The Baltimore Light Fest was nice. The Fire Dancers were awesome!
Actually had dinner at McCormick & Schmick’s bit ate on the Patio and enjoyed the view of the Pavilion. I love the tensile structure Architecture! Ive been there before and it is a great venue for entertainment!
I have always loved this venue prior to this year. But sadly, since becoming Mecu, I have lost all desire to attend any shows here. All prices of food and drinks this year have gone up substantially. And when I tried to get food/drinks at 945, everything was closed. There is still over an hour of entertainment left, and I’m not allowed to even get a bottle of water?! How pathetic. I left early for this reason. Let’s not forget about the sound this year. The sound of the band has gotten much worse, and they have turned the volume down so low that you can barely hear the music from the walk behind the lawn. I suspect this was done due to the people not purchasing tickets and enjoying the music either by boat or on the sidewalk on the other side of the bridge. All of this tells me that the new owner does not care about the patrons at all but is only thinking about the all mighty dollar. So in all, I doubt I will be returning to this venue as nearly as much as in the past. This is very sad as this was a great place to see a show, 5 star great. Not anymore, you receive 1 star for extremely high prices, early food and drink cut off time, poor sound quality. Sure is a shame that someone took a great venue and turned it into an undesirable money pit.
Great venue, decent food and drinks. I strongly recommend Harbor Park Garage for parking.
This venue is in a beautiful location alongside the inner harbor. Located near multiple parking garages. The only downside is that the water stations have water that tastes highly chlorinated.
Great summer concert venue. All the artists I have seen love playing here. Staff has always been good to me. Beer is expensive but reasonable for a convert venue. Would highly recommend seeing a show here (I have been to about 20 here seeing all kinds of different bands). The acoustics are unique being slightly open and on the water which makes for a pretty unique sound and quality is great.
Great Place for concerts....
Good experience. Decent place for a show.
