One of my all time favorite venues! It is super intimate, yet you have plenty of space to get your dance on. I moved super close right before quarantine, and am so sad that I most likely wont be able to enjoy it any time soon. As soon as it is safe to visit, I will be there!

Smaller venue with an eclectic lineup. Sound is good. The techs seem to know the room and have the levels perfect.Be sure to get there early for a good spot near the stage ... if you are stuck in the back - the sight lines are not good.

Great little club! My kind of music venue. If I lived closer I’d be there a lot! A friend of the owner turned us on to the joint in 2010. Abigail treated us like royalty and I hope to make it back one day soon!

Fantastic venue for a show. Very close to The stage no matter where you stand. Drink prices are reasonable, especially if you get there early for happy hour. Just saw night 2 of Cabinet and Horseshoes & Hand Grenades. Sound and lights were dialed in. Both bands kicked it.

Great place in Federal Hill to see cover bands from out of town (or a few locals!). Ive been here 3 times and everytime it ends up being a gigantic sing along. there are multiple viewpoints, with my favorite being upstairs looking down on the stage. The bands are always very engaging with the crowd.

I LOVE this venue. The staff is friendly and courteous. The owner is amazing the shows never fail to impress. Ive caught a lot of little bands who have turned into big bands. DRinks are affordable and it has a spring loaded dance floor.

Great staff and bartenders, always a good time when I go and always a great crowd. I get happy just seeing all the other happy people vibing to good music. I appreciate all the grateful dead shows. I have suggested this place to new people coming to town that I meet through my work and they always thank me afterwards for showing them one of the chillest places in Baltimore!

Ive been to 8x10 one time around January. I stopped in a local pub just up the street where they make homemade brew. I ended up watching a Lakers game & speaking to someone who had tickets, while there, and was invited along.I wont repeat what other users reported about seating, floor layout etc. but, the acoustics were off the hook. I believe I heard that something was done to the floor during renovation which caused it to bounce (for lack of a better word) more on the dance floor. Im not really the dancing type, but I couldnt help start rocking in this spot. Nice lighting too.On the downside, if you end up trying to have a conversation with a girl, its a dead issue unless you both are cool with screaming at the top of your lungs, but its quieter downstairs (slightly) or outside. Like most clubs they stamp your hand, and you may leave & return at whim.As far as the staff: The bar tender was good people and security seemed to be good with faces, I dont think I was asked to show my stamp once. The ghost was hot on stage and the place was jumping, so props to management. All in all - A 4.5 since Ive only been there once and I wouldnt have minded a comfortable spot where I could hear myself talk. ~They do have a third floor, but its off limits. That would probably make a good chill spot, but I think they want everyone to watch the band, plus it would take more staff to cover a third floor. It wouldnt stop me from going back in the future though, provided the bass was right.

Pay with cash if you go to this place and dont let them get your credit card. I hardly ever use my credit card but in this case I ran a tab with it.. The music was awesome tho and the drinks where fairly cheap (the dog food was expensive, over two hundred dollars). The acoustics where pretty good considering how small it is.

Wow. This place is awful. If you can tolerate the place itself, the people working there will drive you out. We had one encounter with a woman working there, and she was the highest level of rude any human can obtain. She belittled us, and made us feel so terrible in a new place. I would highly recommend that you never give this place any business. I apologize in advance for anyone who will unknowingly step into this unwelcoming shanty they call a venue. Completely un-relaxed and way too many rules.

I went to 8x10 to see Tom Principato play. Ive never been to Baltimore before and was surprised how hoppin the area is there! You will NOT find parking if you come after like 6 or 7, so you will need to find a space in a parking garage, as they say on the club website. The club itself is small but very cozy. They have bandstand on the inner end of the club and 2 floors - you can sit upstairs by the railing and watch the band from above, or you can hang out on the main floor right up to the bandstand. There are no chairs set up in front of the band, so a lot of people just stand. There are bar stools set up along the walls and along the bar - if you get there when doors open, youll guarantee a seating space. If you come 40 mins after doors open, that might be a problem and you might have to stand. Still, very nice club for hearing live music. Fun, safe atmosphere, hip, no drunkies there, clean.
