Beautiful aquarium but there were too many people there for my liking. There were many times it was not possible to be 6ft apart while looking at exhibits. I ended up skipping a few to get away from the crowd. However, I went on a Friday night which seems like a popular time. If you are planning a visit during the pandemic, I recommend a week day. Also I will say they did an excellent job of temperature taking and reminding people throughout to keep their masks on and above the nose.
There are several bars and clubs there. Nice open space to walk around. There are spots to get food from too. Nice nightlife to get some good drinks and hang out. It is in Downtown Baltimore and very close to the Inner Harbor if you want to go there or to nearby restaurants or other nightlife in the area. The subway stop is near there as well if you dont want to deal with the hassle of parking because it is very hard to find parking in the area and most of it you have to pay for it, if not, you may have to walk a good distance once you finally do find a spot to park.
I would give more stars but not everything was open sadly. Went to the first bar on the left. The fresh squeezed drinks were so good. Corn hole and jenga were so fun. I have only 2 complaints. 1 the mosquitoes were very aggressive. Which isnt normally the fault of an outdoor venue but that brings me to 2. The material awning over the pergola had bodies of stagnant water that occasionally dripped on you or your drink if you werent careful. I got bit pretty good on my forehead. Otherwise, it was a fun time.
Great staff made us all feel safe and comfortableFelt proud to be of the festivities
Power plant is a ton of fun! There are lots of different bars, all themed, from dance clubs and live music outside to a country style bar with a mechanical bull and mexican bar and a rock and roll club. There is a giant outdoor fireplace with seating all around it and lots of games thought the place like cornhole and giant jenga games!
Power plant live is a great place to go out in Baltimore if you dont know where to go out in Baltimore! With a few different bars to choose from, including western themed, beer gardens, piano bar, and a club you cant really go wrong here. They truly do know how to entertain. I went with friends to a concert here recently and the show was great! Right in the heart of Baltimore Power Plant Is a fun location to let lose after exploring what other things charm city has to offer.
Great job social distancing for Drag Brunch. The show was entertaining and very professional. Service was not great, though.
The live music is pitiful! Usually just 1 guy with a guitar and electronic background. The music is usually folksy and slow. Not good for a Friday or Saturday night party.
Definitely not a *bad* area to spend your evening, but it isnt anything like it used to be.I visited this place a few years ago, and was hoping to show my husband how much fun it had been to come here 12 years ago -- a lot had changed. The area was pretty deserted, for a weekend, and had hardly anything fun to do at all. I remember crowds, amazing live music, dance floors crowded with people, lively games, comfy+cool swings, mechanical-bull-riding and one cover charge to get into an array of different fun nightclubs.Only a few of the locations were still open, but they werent nightclubs, anymore: they were mostly sports bars, and without any pool, darts or anything else to play -- well, aside from the pay-to-play touch-screen computer games. There was no live music in any of these sports bars and it was the weekend. After some searching at different places I did find someplace other than a sports bar, and the mechanical bull! However...it was being used as a show to lure in guys: a scantily-clad bartender rode it (the bartenders took shifts doing this, it seemed), and there was an option to pay to ride it with her. Theres nothing...*wrong* with that, but it did seem like entirely the wrong setting -- since we werent at a strip club and the place was lit up like a mall or something...The overly bright lights of *this* place, coupled with the locations complete lack people made this look even LESS appealing, aesthetically. You could clearly see the entire locations population of 8 single male customers reduced to drooling, sweaty guys, in full, very brightly lit 4K, Ultra HD -- who could also clearly, uncomfortably, see each other (not these guys fault, I definitely blane the lighting and the completely wrong atmosphere) This was just.. not a great look, is all Im saying. At least put a spotlight on the bull, dim the surrounding lights, make the place an actual strip club IDK do something! Lol.Back in the day, the customers could take turns trying to ride the bull for free...This place also did not have live music. There was a dance floor, but nobody was on it. The dance floor was also very brightly lit (not even in different colors).I cant believe that none of these remaining locations here didnt at least have darts, shuffleboard, pool...something. Nobody was dancing, and there wasnt any live music. I was pretty sad that I couldnt show my husband what an amazing hotspot this had been 15 years ago, now.If youre looking for some quiet places to go watch your favorite sports team on decent televisions, without a lot of people, and you dont mind if the place looks a little bit run-down then check out these sports bars. Or, if youre interested in paying to ride a mechanical bull with a scantily-clad bartender -- or watching other people pay to do this (in a location with the atmosphere of a Golden Buffet), then you might find a good time here .** Obviously these locations have probably changed a lot since I last visited about 3 or 4 years ago, so perhaps theyve made some awesome changes, I dont know .I suggest reading all of the more recent, therefore relevant, reviews before evaluating my own -- Im just recording the experience that I had here several years ago, because in some ways it was hilarious .
Plenty of bars. Decent food. Parking garage makes it easy to get here.
If it wasnt for covid-19..Im sure it would be a better experience. It wasnt a bad experience. Just restricted. I recommend going to the places in Power Plant
Little bit slow for the situation but its looks like a nice place to hang out with friends and family, have a good time!
Pretty awesome place to hangout. Multiple bars in same vicinity. From live music to DJs spinning all night. Restaurant stop serving food early, but bars have bar food available all night. After 10pm it starts to get busy and people bar hop when one bar spot closes. Mostly younger crowd when we went going all crazy. Drinks are reasonably cheap. Mechanical Bull ride at one bar upstairs and piano bar right across. Overall it was fun.
Great mall-like place for bars and restaurants. Mostly bars though with about 2 night clubs. Depends on the night but tends to be more laid back. If youre looking for high amp stuff, maybe not the place for you. They have a Leinenkugel bar/restaurant which I live and one of the clubs has a mechanical bull!
Fun place to go and have some drinks
This spot is so much fun! There are several bars and clubs that can fit anyone’s style. Rams Head Live is a good concert venue. PBR is a good spot with a mechanical bull, great dance door, and several places to sit and watch. 5 stars for having so many options for all types of people. They take security seriously on the busier nights which is great to help everyone feel safe on a night out.
Excellent service and good food.
Great place to hangout of you have some time to kill! There are so many bars here and the service is great! Our group went the the crush bar and the woman who served us was phenomenal and the drinks were amazing. They do have bathrooms here however they are kind of dirty and the area can be a bit trashy. The crowd here is generally younger and immature
Love this place, the staff is great and the food is awesome.
Fun atmosphere. They send out promotions all the time for free parking and drink specials. Only reason it gets a 4 star is because they are about to close Howl at the Moon which was the best bar there
The staff is great the food is pretty good and its always a fun time
Lots of restaurants and a great waterfront promenade with a couple pedestrian bridges over the water. Great light show from November 1 to 10 all over Inner Harbour, in connection with Baltimore Book Festival. There are cool motorized boats to rent as well, if you want to look at the city from water.
If your ever in Baltimore stop at the Power Plant great place to see. You and the kids will this place. Its close to hotels, malls and restaurants. Not to mention Miss Shirleys Restaurant is down the street. Please stop in for some good old fashion flair with a new twist. Excellent food and great staff dont forget to ask for Sarah shes great.
Would have been amazing if there wasnt a pandemic
Lots of games to play and bars to visit. If you are spending the day at the harbor then walk on over and check it out!
Great place for pictures, places to eat and have a good time
I love Power Plant! Amazing atmosphere with plenty to do inside. All the bars are dope and always lit! Cant wait to be back soon!
Management was a little confusing at tin but it was cool anyway
Nice place to party and get herpes. Be safe. The drinks are good. The parking is super convenient for the people who drive their own cars.
The Cul de Sac of cool. A group of nightclubs, bars, and other evening entertainment around a common area. Good Spirit, high standards, live entertainment. Depending on the night/time you may pay a cover but well worth it. Such a great time. Seriously, this place rocks with multiple choices as to how it rocks.
I love the variety that Power Plant provides. Theres a bunch of different bars/lounges inside. Something for everybody!! Great atmosphere!!
The location has so many restaurants to choose from. It was a quick walk from the hotel I was staying at. Great selection of restaurants. Chains, small, large, costly, moderately priced. All wins in my opinion.
Great drink packages and good food
$10 to enter! However the bull ride was free on the second floor! Paid $23 for 2 mix drinks and a beer so it was a great deal if you like to go out. The atmosphere was great! The dancers at the bars had me dancing waiting in line! Had a great time and enjoyed my self. Felt safe and good vibes with good company.
Visiting here is a must whenever you go to party in Baltimore. Its much better when its warm but they manage to control the weather very good despite a lot of the areas being outside. The Beer garden serves food until 1am and they mean it because I ordered my food at 12:50 & they had no problem with it. Good people, good scene.
Plenty of parking and awesome venue. 8/10 sound system. Will definitely go see Hollywood undead again at this place.
This is definitely a very fun place to go and will be entertaining for the extroverted. Ive had a few good night with great stories at this place and will most likely end up going here in the near future as well.
With so many different flavors how can you go wrong. Something for everyone of age and entertainment from DJs to live bands and touring headliners.Google must have glitched. I did not review anything in Baltimore recently as I have been in Puerto Rico for 4 months. The update with 5 stars is my review.
Seen Kix for Kixmas, Great band, great time for all.
Cool and Awesome with all that they have done to transform the Power Plant...
We went to a Mardi Gras event. Havent visited this place in over 15 years and had a ball. This was great way to promote the area. I will be back to visit some of the other venues.
I only visited Barnes and Noble bookstore. Baby let me tell you, books, books, and more books. There is also a little lounging area upstairs. More books upstairs, definitely a place to maybe host a book club.
I loved the hard Rock Cafe! Good servers! Clean and nicely decorated.. Food was good. Too expensive though. But we knew that before we went.
Very nice environment have fun bring your family lots to do different activity I really enjoyed myself this time
Harassment 2da M@x
Great music. Great vibes. Great food. And greatest city on the planet @Ravens2020
Easy access to parking and restaurants...great venue for seeing bands
First time coming here, and the have something for everyone. Will definitely come back
Great music. Great atmosphere. Fantastic staff. Would recommend
It is hit or miss with the entertainers, depending on your music preference. You will also encounter many street artists. Most of whom are just trying to make a few bucks and are not to be compared to well trained musicians.Just enjoy it and make it a date or fun experience.
Bouncers are rude. If you have a question they interrupt with a “no” and that is not good customer service. I’m not a drunken college kid. I’m a professional, responsible adult. Fun place, but the bouncers need to humble themselves. Ruins the mood.
Southwest Airlines Spirit Party. What a venue. There was something for everyone. Food, music entertainment etc.,
Definitely a summer time hang out in Baltimore where drinks and dance with the locals is best with an awesome night club near by
RamsHead concert venue: I dont think theres a bad viewpoint in the entire place, and the sound quality was fantastic. It was a loud rock concert and we were on thr balcony right in front of a speaker bank. With earplugs in to diffuse the sound, it was all boneshakingly good bass and clear mids and highs.
Love the atmosphere. Plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy
This place is awesome
Plenty tho experience- loved the TACO FESTIVALS
Great time to be back outside
Saw Marylin Manson, great venue, intimate and can go up top. Great show good people. Cant wait to see another show here
This place has fun for everyone! From the Beer Garden, Bull Riding, Concerts, a Piano Bar and so much more!!
Awesome place for a lot of different bars and music. Good for dancing and parties. Each place is unique and worth a visit.
Fun place. Free valet before 8pm Thursday to Saturday. Drinks everywhere. Get super crowded weekneds. Love tin roof and PBR.
Beautifully historic. Philips on one end, Barnes n Noble with a Starbucks in the center and Hard Rock on the other end. Well preserved. Multiple floors up.
Awesome venue in a nice part of town
I love it here..Baltimore Baby!WHOOOOWW!!
Burger was okay/good but a bit expensive for what you ended up getting. Atmosphere is what youd expect friendly staff. A little slow on getting us seated we had to walk up to the bar about 1/2 way into the restaurant after waiting for a few minutes at the hostess stand/desk before a staff member greeted and asked how they could help.
If your looking to have a nice drink and like to hear good music this is the place!
Amazing building. Eat somewhere in here and enjoy but then get outside and enjoy what the Inner Harbor really has to offer.
Went for new years eve party and it was awesome. Would definitely recommend
Went for ice cream in the area and passed by a concert! The Power Plant Live! is a fun place and I’ll make sure to add this to places to revisit if I come back to Baltimore.
The scenery was very nice I will plan on coming back on a warm day
It was dead Friday night nothings open
The first and only time I will be going. I was discriminated against and I got kicked out for spilling my drink on a so called bouncer. I had all of two alcoholic drinks in the period of 4 hours, they were very watered-down. He was a somebody because he told them I was drunk, I was baffled and upset. They told me I had to go on his word only no matter how unprofessional this bouncer was. He didnt even ask if I was alright, he was too worried that I splashed my drink on his plaid shirt. It wasnt the first time my legs gave out that night, but I didnt bring my cane (the looks) and it wasnt a place for my service dog. (I am disabled, my legs will randomly give out on me, I literally cant use them until I can feel them again.)I tried to call the next day but they didnt care. I tried to get his name out of the bouncers out front but they wouldnt give it too me. They are lucky that I was young and didnt know better. Because if it happened today I would have sued the pants off of them!
The Barnes and Noble here has so much charm because it is inside the old power plant! They also have an aquarium inside as a tribute to the national aquarium next door! Starbucks too. Easily walkable from the aquarium.
What a FUN place! The drinks are a bit over priced, but for a concert venue- what do you expect? Wonderful area though!
Great place to hang with Friends
Power Plant is Badass... So many clubs, great music n food
We had arrived early before it was open looks like a fantastic time cant wait to go back and experience the Bands and the excitement of the evening wow everything is right here at your fingertips the bay the ships the restaurants Hardrock Phillips so many places to choose from this is just one that I zeroed in on Im super excited to spend the weekend here I had a great time with my wife on this day walking around and taking in all the sights there are sightseeing tours buy boat and land so much to do who knows maybe Ill see you there.
How do you have an event from 8-12 and people have to stand in line for an hour at 10pm. Edited next day. ---The Mardi Gras event was fun they have a good thing going on but thats easy when u have clubs and bars employees doing what they do best. My hats off to them. Tons of people and a really good time. Again though - I give low stars because of the lack of organization and promotional items people paid for- With that kind of money pulling in definitely need a better entry system. I will attend another in hopes it will be solved next year. Try signs to direct different tickets and one more than one or two people were checking tickets the line started moving mustve been from the complaints. 2nd dont run out of items when you have people paying 50 a ticket and supposed to get free items that were not provided ie beads and whatever else my ticket was supposed to get me. I got a cup like everyone else and told sorry ran out. Not cool thats theft in my eyes
Clean, nice atmosphere but there wasnt a variety of music and not sure why there is a cover charge to get in there.
Power plant live is a medium size venue to catch a show. It is set up so you have an intimate concert experience whether lined up at the stage rail or the at the bar in the back.
What a great space! There were several bars/clubs within walking distance which were all busy but not overcrowded. We settled in with drinks in no time.
