Had a great time live in Harrisburg but have been there several times. Nice crowd, nice atmosphere, good food but drinks a little high. Would go again and again.

I love my Melbas place but I have to complain about the kitchen. They just hire new kitchen caters KDW and had the nerve to tell me that they stopped taking orders because they back up. It was only 930pm and they backed up already. They told me it would take 15 to 20 min for them start taking orders again. Just so u know, there portions are smaller and the bake mac and cheese is not good as the last owners.

Food was great, however, I was visiting from out of town and I ordered food my family and I, we actually left food on table in containers to step outside to smoke, when coming back in, the security lady with a nasty attitude charged us a cover charge, I said we are already inside eating, she says!! You came in at happy hour and now you have to pay, I have never in my life had an experience and will post this review everywhere. Plus her attitude is of a street thug with no business experience or customer service skills what so ever. Sorry Melbas, no good!!!!

Went on Friday night. Cash only establishment. DJ played good music. The drinks weren’t expensive. Four drinks for 34$ there was a nice older crowd there. I kind of wanted more oldies but there was a mix of everything.

Over the yrs this place has fallen off, the owner is only about money, men and women no longer dress; sneakers, sandals, t-shirts.All these yrs, he wont expand the club with all the money he makes. The drinks, bartenders are cool, but security are sometimes in the way on the dancefloor. Go back to the dress code and age limit; 35 and over.

Best place to be in Baltimore

Had a great time with friends on Valentines Day last year. The DJ was on and the drinks were lit! Grown and sexy! No drama! The service was excellent.

I have been coming to Melbas for over 12+ years. I visited on 5/19/2019 to celebrate me Graduating from Morgan State University with my 2nd Degree. They have changed there dress code the beginning of the year. No sandals with no straps. So we decided to just go home for the night. But the women behind me was let in with sandals and no straps. When I asked to seek with the Manager. He said it was an exception for her because she was from out of town.This was poor management. And I was profiled, because multi women went in after me with no Straps on their backs.This is disappointing, and I will not be returning. I will take my business else where.

Best cool place to go great service

My group came in from Pittsburgh on a bus trip and was very disappointed all while its a beautiful place inside its in the middle of the hood and all while our hands were stamped we had to pay to come back in each time you left out as out of towners there was no hospitality we will never go to this establishment again drinks over priced i ordered a shrimp dinner greens was cold and cocktail sauce was frozen and wings was bland

The happy hour menu is good. They have good food on happy hour. The place gets hot and it could me crowded on Fridays.

Melbas is a Great Place to hang out with your Family and Friends. The Food is Great, I can actually smack the hell out of the Cook because everything was so delicious (especially the chicken wings and meatballs) Kitchen Staff are very prompt and clean. Security are on point in making sure you are having a good time and that everyone is feeling safe. The Bartenders are very Cordial and Professional, their s are on point. Last but not least, thanks to Ms. Inez (Manager) for promising me and guaranteeing me that I would have a Great Time. Definitely I will be returning to Melbas Place.

Had soooooo much fun. If you like to dance, this is the place to go. Drinks and food were good too.

We went on a Saturday night. It wasnt crowded at all, until 12. There are places to sit and they serve food. The DJ was good mostly hip hop and club music. Pretty good time

Poor costumer service, security guards are racist, Food was trash. Requested to speak to a manager and was completely ignored. Absolutely unacceptable. Will never go to this place again.

Okay, I traveled from out of town to come to this spot and probably should have run when I noticed the place had a doorbell. The only redeeming quality of the place is the music. The drinks are watered down and the food is basic and low end. They have a no standing at the bar pilicy and subsequently asked my brother to leave because he stood at the bar too long. My entire party was escorted out of the door after spending over $300 on food and drinks. Once outside we were advised that this is a local spot that does not take kindly to out of towners. We were not refunded our cover charge either. I will definitely never return. We were treated very poorly. Shady part of town with women who look like they have been rode hard and put up wet. Dont waste your time or energy.

We didnt stay due to manager being rude. We got there at 430 pm. They open at 5 from what she said. So she told us to leave and come back after 5pm. The Dallas Cowboys game and Green Bay Packers was just coming on we ask if we could just sit at the bar until they open. She was rude and we left. We are new to the area I will not refer this place.

Always a great experience!

Its kind of like a neighborhood establishment. The music whats good its mainly a house party establishment. The people were friendly enough. But again my okay all depends on the DJ thats playing there and that was my first time ever going there.

Okay music, good strong drinks but female bartenders are always rude and nasty wont go back. Dress code isnt enforced.

If you a light weight like me, limit yourself to one or two drinks. They give you a serious bang for your buck. Had a great time.

Had not been out in awhile went with my bff had a ball. Drinks and music awesome!!! I will be back.

It would be an excellent place if it werent for the hood rats and thirsty men. And the fact that its a very cramped place. So they rent tables to people to have their party which literally leaves you with no room to sit......Anywhere. The drinks are very strong which is nice since your getting more bang for your buck. But pace yourself cause God forbid you need to sit down for a second. Youll have every welfare recipient on your ass, over a seat. My Melba days are over. Sometimes you might have to pay a lil more to have nice night out cause Sometimes you get what you pay for

This used to be my go to place to party and have a good time, I mean where else can you go in Baltimore for mature African American adults...but twice I have gotten violently ill from ONE drink (and I am a drinker) for me to ask if they are selling cheap alcohol or if a bartender slipped me a mickey. Either way...its not a place I recommend anymore, from those incidents.

Cannot get any more Baltimore than Melbas. Good drinks, old school music playlist in front of bar. Local house music in back with younger crowd depending on night you go.
