I miss this place sooo much great music good crowd wonderful bartenders
Fun place but they added money onto all the tips we left even though were already tipping generously. Checked my bank account and found the 3 dollar tip I left for an 8 dollar drink got turned into a 13 dollar tip. I dont mind tipping, but I dont like being taken advantage of.
Its a cool club but I wish the DJs would get better at taking requests for music. Other than that, its amazing. :)
Love this place. First went to Central 19 years ago. My first gay bar. Great staff and amazing crowd.
The new Manager Marc Hayes gets it.He is a blessing to the LGBT+ community to be running this establishment. Its been decades since Ive seen such a hard working club-professional have the proper balance of business expectations and entertainment leniency for our community.Ive never questioned his decisions.
Great bar with a great Happy Hour, make it a point to visit when Sarah and Jason R are the bartenders!
My friends and I visited this place while in Baltimore attending a conference. We arrived at approximately 1:30. At 1:45 the bar tender stated that it was last call. My friends ordered and she tried to converse with the man that was supposed to be standing at the door, but decided to stand at the bar and he became irate and rude after being asked what time they close. This occurred at 1:52. We left the drinks we purchased on the counter and will never return... Also, it’s fraud to ask someone to purchase something and ask them to leave 7 minutes later to leave, although your closing hours listed don’t align with the time you’re saying you’re closed... clearly it’s fraud and the owner needs to invest more time into customer service development. If this is the best Baltimore has to offer, I see why small businesses are falling apart. #Thank god for Amex.
Cool Place...Bar and Dance Club usually have fun music and lively crowd. Love the look of the place. Continually changing staff of Bartenders leave a lot to be desired... most have been rude & slow. Nothing like a Bartender with an attitude problem or texting and ignoring customers. No tip for you...
Great Atmosphere good drinks nice bar tenders
Great vibe! Had a nice chill evening. Much thanks to bartender Stephen who helped me choose a new drink to try that I really liked and was super friendly. Had a great time! Five stars, totally
Stopped here on a very hot summer day for a cold beer (about 5:45 pm). Few local guys and girls. Nice ambiance. Good comfortable energy. Not sure how the night ambiance is but I would bet it’s good!
Wonderful place to have fun, mingle, and dance.
Never Use Credit Card the bartender will use their system to steal your money. After signing the reciept and tip, she will inflate the tip to cash out whatever she wants to skim off of the people. The Blonde haired wig chick, she is a thief. I couldnt believe that I was charged $25.01, when my drink and tip were $9.50 (an $8 rail drink, with a $17 tip?). I use online banking, so I saw it instantly. She steals from customers.
Absolutely love this club! The music was awesome. The drinks were good and fairly priced. All the staff we met was amazing. Well definitely go back when in Baltimore again. Nicole the bartender was phenomenal!
Such a great time last night at the show! Atmosphere was great!
If you are looking for a local LGBT friendly bar this is the typical place to go. Its nothing extravagant however they have been around for a long time. Many regulars go here. Music on weekend is good normal club music. There is a cover charge for dance floor but not for bar section.
This place has really gone down hill. Sometimes its empty, sometimes theres a crowd. The music could be dance or pop songs - you never know. The last time I was there they were playing Kid Rocks cover of Sweet Home Alabama. However, its one of two gay dance clubs left standing so you dont really have much of a choice.
The man working coat check and taking cover was a complete jerk, treating people like peasants or idiots. Meanwhile letting others cut and leave with their coats, while making others return to the back of the line to wait so that they could leave a bar that they already paid to get into, and were already patrons of. How nice to be treated like a nuisance as youre leaving the bar that you just dropped $95 at (on overpriced and poorly-made drinks), just trying to get the coat that you spent an extra $7 tipping the guy to check. Not only was the music upstairs lame, smelled like someone had gotten sick and the bar was empty on a Saturday night, but the staff in general holds a snobby air about them. For a community that is supposed to be so welcoming, they do the exact opposite. If youre going out in Mt. Vernon, I suggest you take your business elsewhere.
Didnt stay long enough to see how it is after the sun goes down, but stayed during happy hour and my friends and I enjoyed ourselves. Bartenders were friendly and attentive and the space is really nice. Would definitely stop by again and stay longer the next time Im in town
Last Friday was my first time here and it was dope. From the music and drinks to the crowd, it all was just perfect. The place is a good if you want to go have fun and dance all night with your friends. See you next Friday, guys!
So i am 20 years old and i know i am not aloud to drink but i was heading in there to see a close friend preform tonight for the drag show. I asked the security guard if i may enter even know i am 20 and NOT drinking. He said that’s fine and let me in. ONLY for him to turn back around and kick me out. Waste of my time

Favorite bar in the city, in addition to being the best gay bar in the city..
I love this place! Both the bar and the pay-to-access (I believe its $3 before 11, $5 or $6 after?) dance area are great. Highly recommend.
I like the vibe here and like the karaoke. I think that its a fun place even on off days. It gets packed on the weekends bur it is a very accepting atmosphere.
I was charged 20% tip by server James A even though I did not leave a tip for going to the dance floor.Charging the tip without the customers knowledge is ridiculous. I signed the receipt and believed I would only pay what I signed for but they added their own tip. This wasnt even for drinks, theu shouldnt expect a tip for dance floor ticket.I wouldnt go there again. Plus the music is terrible.
Had a very good first time experience here with the Karaoke night on Tuesday but my second time around, The bouncer kept following me around all night. And to me, I thought he liked me. The whole time he was keeping his eye on me just to get me out of the club. I would NOT recommend going to this place if you plan to have an open time. Even the guys there dont really speak much to anyone. Nice karaoke nights, but weekend nights are awlful. These B*****S can rot in hell for that experience, $30 on drinks just to tell me and my friends we had to leave? I think NOT! GO TO THE HIPPO INSTEAD!
On April 5th, someone slipped something into my drink at Grand Central. Now I realize that the club itself is not responsible for that happening. I can only blame the person who drugged me, not the club itself, but my review is because of the way that Don Davis spoke with me when I reached out to him for help the day(s) following the incident. The night it happened, I couldnt even call my own ambulance (I tried, and somehow ended up calling one of the dads I babysit for, oops), so I had no way of making sure police were involved in getting me tested for the specific drug or trying to find help with locating the person who did this. The day after it happened, Don encouraged me to file a police report and stated that while the club does have cameras, it is hard to see much of anything. He told me that the police would be able to use the cameras to see who drugged me because they would be able to alter the footage to see it better, so I went to the police station to file a report two days after it happened. As it turns out, the police wont do anything without proof (so a test stating what was in my system and footage of someone putting something into my drink). The hospital I went to, as well as most others, do not have tests for roofies and other date tape type drugs. The police wouldve had to have been called and test me that night, but they werent. The police encouraged me to get Don to check the cameras. When I asked him to and gave him a one hour time frame of when it happened, his demeanor changed. So initially he had told me the police would be able to see who did it on the footage, but after I asked him to look at it, he told me the cameras only face the bartenders, not the people at the bar. When I asked him to clarify how the cops would have a better image of a camera view that doesnt exist, he went on a rant about how they spend so much more money on security than most other bars and asked, are we supposed to strip search every person that comes to the bar? And then hire a pharmacist to find out if they have illegal drugs or prescriptions? and other similar remarks. He also told me that because Baltimore has too much other crime, they didnt have time to investigate this one, and thats why they didnt. Two weeks before I was drugged, another woman was (though Don said it happened at Leons before she came over to Central) and she was raped. I would assume that if multiple people have been drugged in less than a month in the same area, it would be worth looking in to, especially when so many of the people at these two bars are regulars who come every single week. I was lucky. No one raped, assaulted, or otherwise hurt me. The next woman might not be so lucky. Dons attitude with me, and my fear that this is going to keep happening to other people at Grand Central and the surrounding area, are the reason for my review. I was careful. I never left my drink. I never took one from a stranger. But it still happened to me, and it could happen to you too. If you start feeling off, especially only after a couple drinks, tell your friends or call someone to come get you, and if you need help, make sure someone calls the police for you too so they can find out what you were given and by who. Stay safe out there.
Great atmosphere and you can tell that the owner takes pride is his business, although the drinks are a little bit more exspesive than other establishments in the area it worth it for the amenities. The new manager is great!
Perfect scene, very welcoming! Thursday night karaoke with Shanon is the bee knees!Youll have a great time here!
Lovely atmosphere but not the best gay club for happy hour.
I was unfortunate enough to show up on a night where the loft was hosting a private party and the disco was only playing scene music. Who the hell basically shuts down a club on a Saturday?? Would not recommend!!
Drinks were awesome crowd ok staff can be a lil rude.
Dance floor is nice and music is usually good. The drinks are overpriced when compared to Leons down the street. The leather/Levi night is always great but sometimes the younger (21-25 yr) crowd can be meh.
Hopping on a Friday night, bartenders are fast and drinks are generous. Outdoor deck helps with overcrowding and to have a cigar or fast smoke.
Its rather small here, but the crowd is diverse and drinks arent outrageous. The ambiance is decent.
A traditional anchor of the gayborhood. A cosy, low-crowd neighborhood hangout most days-times. Gets hopping on weekends at night.
Seems like the GLBTQ center of the hot burning Baltimore sun. Quirky and friendly in a great location.
Completely hit or miss. Offers a good mix of bar, dancing, or patio scene.
Great selection of beer. None of them were gay, but we still had a good time
A nice bar with lots of room, even when crowded. Very friendly clientele
Great bar very lgbt friendly and a lot of fun and staff is very helpful.
Awesome place to be every time I go
Great club wonderful staffclassy and cleanalways updating
Awesome bartenders, good drinks, amazing memories (or lack of)
Cool place to dance, went late at night and didnt get a cover charge. The music was electronic all night.
Salsa nights are fun, drink specials on Wednesdays are awesome. Wish there were more Queer Latina nights!
Everytime that i use my credit card in this place the bartenders charge me the 18 porcent no matter what in every transaction plus i gave them the tip in cash !!! My question is where is the managers here to handle this situation ?Just let you know guys if you decided to go to this place make sure bring some cash and DONT use your debit or credit card !
Fun!!!! Fun!!!! We had a great time and danced the night away.
Good ambiance, lots of people but never too crowded
Pay the $5 and go to the dance floors.
Went to grand central club for the first time. $6 cover, Its dark, dark music and full of goths. Not the typical gay club im used to. Left after 10mins. Would have left sooner but the drink was made right.
Quite happy and lively bar in Mt.Vernon area.
Cool atmosphere. Good music.
Love this place...ppl are awesome and the music is EXCELLENT
Not bad could be better music
Its chill there though they should really tell you that put hold amounts on your card when you open a tab... wandering why all my receipts and my bank statements didnt make sense.
I have been a regular to this club but lately I have decided to stop going there.I have witnessed couple of fights and other incidents. The drinks are watered down nowadays too.Hopefully Don can fix these issues soon.
I really want to like this place. I really do. But the music is getting worse and more dated every time I go. The place is half-empty more often than not - even on the weekends. Time to suck it up and head to DC instead.
Had a awesome time here friendly people
Great club
Really cool place even with karaoke
Cool dance place and lounge
Owner is a racist. Which doesnt make sense because hes gay. How can you be gay & a racist. Steer clear.
Hosted our Rugby Fundraiser. Much thanks to the owner and management
I love is fun, and nice place.
Always fun
Cool Baltimore bar!!!
Need more bartenders for the front bar on weekends. Spoke to management so we shall see what happens.
Good vibes, but expensive drinks...
Love this club scene
Sketchy owners
Very cool place with a great staff
Nice place
