This free trail is one you can walk/hike, run, or ride your bike on. It is over 250 miles. We walked on part of it since a portion of it is inside of the fort/national monument/shrine. It was a great walk. On it you have beautiful views of Baltimore and the harbor. Worth walking even if you just do some of it. Great exercise and it is a safe area.

As with the fort itself, the trail that surrounds it offers amazing views of Baltimore and the harbor. The trail is free and it gives you a great view of the fort. Don’t forget to check out Baltimore’s hottest stature, Orpheus, who beckons your call just outside of the fort on the side closest to Locust Point. Great spot for anyone looking for a quaint time.

This is a very small museum; the entrance fee is 9$ for an adult. It starts with a video that presents the history of the flag that was made on site by Mary Pickersgill. This 10 min video is informative, but quite old (most likely done in the early 1980s). Then you can check the adjacent room with a few displays that will take you another 10-15 min to look at if you read everything; there is nothing on the second floor (at least when I visited). You then do a self guided tour of the small house where the flag was made. That visit will take you another 10-15 min. This visit of the house is interesting but not highly informative.

If you are coming to Baltimore THIS is the place you have to visit. This is the TOP of the list of places to see. A wonderful historic sight and a must for anybody interested in the history of the War of 1812, American History, American Military History, Maryland History, or even British History. I would suggest going during good weather. It will take about half a day so have a second place to visit afterwards.

Great place for a run, the outter rim is about 1.1 or 1.2 miles total but I like to cut it short sometimes to run by the orpheus statue, which makes it .9 miles.

Very nice place with nice people. Every 10 minutes there is short movie which tells you the story of what happened in 1804 about this fort that gives you a great feeling of this place and history too :)
