Awesome music! Great place to experience very intimate jazz with your favorite artists. Warm atmosphere great comfy couch/ Arm chair seating.... Sometimes just mere inches away from the artists. You can bring drinks into the auditorium. You can usually get to speak with, take photos and get autographs from your favorite artists also.

I saw The Old Part of Town and Rodney Henry. Dont let the space fool you; the sound quality was great. Enjoyed the performance, not too long, not too short. Good music with a smattering of humor.Eclectic setting with shabby/comfortable living room chairs.I didnt see any handicapped access.Parking is cheap and I managed to snag a free spot on the street.

What a delightful venue for small music performances. You will love the sound quality. Its a converted historic townhouse with all originals wood floors and trims. Acoustics are great. Clean bathrooms. Very comfortable seating, almost like sitting in a comfy chair at home. The owner is super nice, great communication and very accommodating.

We attended the Evolution Contemporary Music Series show For Tony Morrison. A wonderful amalgam of music and spoken word honoring the author and her work.

What a great intimate listening room. We were in town on college visit to Johns Hopkins with our son who is a junior in high school. Our son who plays jazz, researched the venue and concert. Ordering tickets online easy. When we arrived to get discount for nearby restaurants, staff person was so helpful. He took us to street level, pointed out all the restaurants and described them for us (we are from out of town), and pointed out nearby point of interest for tourists. Concert was intimate. Band, Fran Vilma World Jazz..., was accomplished. Fascinating array of percussion instruments. Loved how Fran explained about the different songs. Chairs were comfortable, yet eclectic. Looks like they purchased from a variety of auctions. Take a sweater, as temp can change in venue from chilly, to comfortable, to warm. Turnout this evening was light, so we were allowed to sit for both sets. Our son said it was one of best concerts he has ever attended. Pics are of set prior to band on stage and a pic with Fran at band intermission.

Went to hear music from An die folk series. Everyone most genial, perfectly good hosts in what felt like a theater in a comfortable living room. Acoustics were excellent and could stage all genres of music. Audience polite, receptive and overall it was a pleasure to spend the evening with them and the musicians. Oh yes, the artists were top shelf entertainers. Peruse the calendar, find something that interests you and please go!

What a great Baltimore music venue! Charming and intimate with character, will definitely be coming back now that I know An die Musik LIVE is there!

An die Musik LIVE is the best small room jazz venue in Baltimore City. Small, intimate, and well equipped. They present the best local, regional, and national talent, with an emphasis on young up and coming musicians. The ticket prices are always reasonable, and depends on the stature of the presented artist.Theres an in-tune 7 ft grand piano, flown lighting, and comfortable sized stage. While the listening to is not luxury or swanky, it is comfortable. They can seat 84 and hold 100 with standees. They may soon add accommodations for live streaming and archival. The downstairs lounge area is swanky and well appointed. They serve beer and wine, but no food. They have arranged discounted meals at nearby eateries which really simplifies dinner and a show.If youre living in or near Baltimore, or visiting I highly recommend catching a live show at An die Musik LIVE!

The place is great. This was my third time. Music, usually jazz, is always superb. These are professionals not high school bands. Venue is an old row house on the second floor. Chairs are old used very comfortable, look like all came from a hotel switching to new maybe. Seats about 100 max. Want music in a small intimate setting for a fraction of the cost youd pay elsewhere? Here it is. BTW not dark dingy etc. Just low key under the radar. Totally respectable.

I was impressed when I got inside. Very warm atmosphere but sophisticated. The entertainment was perfect and the drinks were affordable. Ill be back.

I have been to An die Musik about 20 times and I have never seen a bad performance. I feel so lucky to live in a city with this cool of a venue. Its a gem.

My husband and I live downtown and we have been searching for somewhere to enjoy live Jazz. We have found our place. Twas a nice atmosphere with comfortable seats. The performance was good and they have different talents all throughout the year. We will definitely be back.

This place is great. The acoustic are excellent, the seats are comfortable. The jazz music is always great. I just feel sorry for the musicians because on week days people seem not wanting to go out and support live entertainment. It would be a shame to see them cutting back on the entertainment. I applaud the management for trying to keep jazz music alive! Keep up the good work.

My first experience was so nice. I enjoyed the music. There came a point in the set where they allowed other musicians to play for a while. I also liked seeing each musician express and feel their music.

Great listening room in a great music city

A great place to hear live music by an individual or small group. This is a place purely to hear music and perhaps have conversation when the music isnt playing. Expect no amenities except beer, wine. and soft drinks.

Right behind the Basilica is An Die Musik, a destination for music lovers. Up a flight of stairs in what once was a home is a room is filled with about 70 comfortable easy chairs. No tables-this is not a bar with music, but more like a living room with almost daily house concerts, ranging from jazz to classical to folk to world music. Acoustics are excellent. Beer, wine and soft drinks are available and very reasonable. No food is sold, but lots of good restaurants are within a block or two. A must for anyone who likes great music in an intimate setting.

An die Musik is a music venue in downtown Baltimore. I visit often to attend live musical entertainment events. The event room is small and cozy giving you a sense of watching the show in your own family room. Parking can be an issue ( restaurants in the block). However, there is a convenient parking garage in the next block. Wine and beer available to purchase.

Love this place. Been here a few times in the last five years and its a great experience each time. Small location for maybe 50 people total. But the small size gives an intimate experience and the artists can interact directly with you which is great.Definitely check an die Musik a visit.

This an intimate low cost way to see top notch world class jazz. Concert seating, but they serve basic beer, wine and soft drinks you can take to your seats at reasonable prices. Laid back, but wonderful. General admission seating, so get there early for popular artists. We found street parking easily last night, other nights it may take going to one on the nearby garages, Great restaurants nearby, so you can make a night of it. They let you stay for the second show for free when it not crowded. Been there several times and never saw anything less than a great performance. Seats are worn, but comfortable.

This is a great listening room where it remains about the music. The musicians are excellent and ticket costs are very reasonable. The best local musicians get chances to play here as well. They may have the only properly maintained and tuned piano in the region.

Excellent lineups. Support local jazz, brings back for locals, and also some national and international national acts. For jazz lovers. They do give space for free jazz and experimental. I fkn love this place.

I have called the numbers listed on the web site repeatedly for weeks without any answer. The person we want to see isnt even listed on the on-line ticket sale site. If they want people to attend, they need to do a MUCH better job with advertising and customer service. If I did this a poor a job, I would hear about from my boss.
