A gorgeous Park located right in the middle of EVERYTHING!I started going to this park in 1973 when I was a freshman at UT andthe very next year in the spring, they had the very first Eeyores Birthday Party at the park!!The pot smoke was so thick, that by the end of the day, you could get stoned by walking along any of the Trails with a contact high! The pot may be less prevalent these days...(?)...but the park is still growing more gorgeous every year
Parts of the park are being renovated, so were not accessible. But nice hike and bike trails, lots of shady trees, and friendly people with their dogs enjoying a beautiful day. Great time...
Love this park right near the university, been coming to this park with my pet friend since 2002. Its a hidden gem with a great trail that has been improved over last few years and there is a playground area that is under renovation. Its surrounded by some nice neighborhoods as well giving it a very tranquil feel and there is a creek running along one side that gets seasonally full with rain.
Beautiful, master planned park with hike and bike trails along the creek. Huge, lots to see and discover for days.
Lovely park to hang out or take a walk/jog. Trails are pretty shady. The south end of the park is currently under construction as is part of the north side, but there is still a good amount of trail.
Its a great park, grew up goung to it.
Trees, seating, stream close by, secluded, quiet - its a slice of peace and tranquility to help you rewind and renew for tomorrows chaos
This was a very fun place to explore. There’s a lot of random cool foresty areas that we went into and also in these pictures, some rivery areas. I’m not sure what else to call them but I enjoyed going here a lot and especially with friends. Beautiful scenery, clean park, not a lot of people, and its fun. There’s also usually a lot of space to roam around so its a great park to go to in Austin. If you need some of the s e c r e t spots this is one to show up to. Not that secret but perfect for all your Austin friend shenanigans.
Love the park! Beautiful scenery, picnic tables, trails and plenty of shade in most areas. Be aware dogs do not have to be on a leash most of the time.
Could use some renovations. They are working on parts of it. Hopefully theyll get to the other areas eventually. Very nice trails. Very pet friendly.
A park offers bike trails, playground, picnic area and fossil picking. Lots of people walk their dogs here. You can bike or walk along Shoal Creek to other greenbelt park, too. This is one of my kids favorite parks in Austin.
Beautiful park with decent shady trails for hiking. Creek was kind of gross looking, but the trails were clean and well kept. Good place to escape the city to be surrounded by nature while still being in the city.
Eeyores b-day 2019. Just one fantastic day!
What a great park! It’s an easy walk from downtown Austin, right along the Shoal Creek Trail. Whatever you are looking for in a city park, it’s here: playgrounds for the kids, large picnics areas, a splash pad, natural sculptures, open grass fields and beautiful well-shaded trails. There are also bathrooms and water fountains at the South end of the park by the splash pad, along with large grills.
Pease park is unique park that cradles Shoal Creak as it winds through Austin. It offets inviting walking paths and green space even under construction.
Its right across the street from Violence Park. Much nicer. And the views of the city are amazing. And they have vintage hair salon accessories, Farrah Fawcett-Majors posters and pictures of random things that have nothing to do with the park itself.Take your grandmother. Shell appreciate your help with her life.
Ive been coming to this park for years as far back as I can remember now I have the opportunity to do concrete work on this site cant wait see the finished product
Eeyores birthday was fun! Beers were $5 each so that was whatever...to be expected. But lots of topless ladies for the event
Pretty cool neighborhood park.
One of my favorite parks in Austin for volleyball and pickup sports. It also includes an off leash dog park and pristine (short) running trails. Limited parking sometimes.
I went to the volleyball courts! They are well kept up with and one of my favorite free funs with friends around town!
Pease Park is for sure known for the yearly Eeyores birthday celebration but this place is great for professuonal family photos, a quick trail walk, doggie adventures off leash, picnicking, and even taking your little ones to a small playground thats big enough for them to tire out but small enough to easily keep eyes on them at all times. There are multiple ways to get there & park so thats taken care of. All around great time.
I have spent my life playing, shooting hoop, fishing, swinging and reading in this park. a nature peaceful home.
Went to see Yippee Ki Yay art, but it was on its side. Hot day so we only walked a short way.Shoal Creek mostly dry except one pool of water. Some nice live oah trees shading part of the walk
Very clean, came here for Tai Chi event and ended up walking around the area for a couple miles. There are a few homeless but they arent causing trouble.Bonus was seeing air plants on the trees growing in their natural habitat as well as cute lizards scurrying.
Fun for all ages. Basketball, fly a kite, splash pad
A really beautiful park. Filled with trails that wander around Shoal Creek, which you can follow to Town Lake. Little play areas and a water park, basketball courts and large fields. Children and dog walkers everywhere. Hard to notice N Lamar right along the park because the trees and bushes block out the noise. There are some hills and some really nices houses along some of the edges of the park.
What can I say? for you Austin locals, Pease park is a hidden ge, not too crowded and you get all the benefits of being at an outdoor park. Pease park also has many different areas that provide ample parking. Almost always you can find a parking space and have your fun at the park. its super clean, beautiful and always has something for everyone. If you want to play disc golf, great. If you want to play basketball, great, If you want to hike a trail or two great. Any and everything you can think of, Pease park has something for you . Please come and see one of Austins original attractions.
It was a pretty nice park to take your family to.
Wonderful place, well-maintained, grass is green, plenty of places to sit
Cool place Id never visited before!! And the branch shelters were too cool!! The only problem was finding the bathroom. There are only on set of bathrooms on one side of the park. Granted its not extremely huge, but you will wet your pants if you dont know where it is or you wait too long!!
It was a nice secluded quiet park.
Shot a music. ideo there. the place is clean. safe . wish it had more lighting around basketball courts tho
Very nice park with playground, waterfountains, basketball court, kids area, restrooms, and large built-in stone tables with seating. Great venue for our event and loved that we could reserve it, though it wasnt free to reserve but it ensured we would get the spot for the day we needed it.
A good park to stroll around. I really enjoy that they didnt do the typical Austin updates, but left it familiar.
This is a wonderful park for a weekend stroll with or without a pup. I hope the city continues to maintain the walkways as they provide a beautiful forum for a walk
Very nice spot, hidden gem
Great place for a short walk before work. Manages to be restful, despite urban positioning.
The school where I teach recently had a few classes go here after our field trip. Its a nice little hidden gem.
First time in this place and it was wonderful walking around for 5 miles and will be coming back soon.
Beautiful piece of Austin also wear Eeyores Birthday happens on the last Saturday of April every year
The oldest park in Austin, I guess. Nice bike/ hike, but currently some construction repairs.
Lovely weather, clean park, excellent for lunch
Some fields and some shaded areas and they large childrens playground and some picnic tables all make it a great place to bring some toys and hang out with the family. Otherwise nothing special
Beautiful park for hike, bike, or walk your sweet fur baby. During Eyores; however it becomes riddled with topless teens girls, junkies, and proud alcoholics. So I highly recommend enjoying at your own risk.
Beautiful park hidden right in the middle of Austin. The splash pad is perfect for little ones (& big) on a hot day
Gorgeous pocket of nature.
I went to Eeyores Birthday Party festival for the first time and it was absolutely awesome and crazy. Loved dancing to the beat of the drums under the tent. Such fun. I had such a great time.
Really great for kids! Also great to explore around
Watch out for this kid. Great park. Fun water feature for kids in summer.
Great open area with nice playground, right in the middle of downtown.
Fantastic little park. Great for short walks and to get away from the city.
So beautiful! A relaxing walk that stimulated our soul.
Very familiar. They have fun with water for everybody. Very much space for walking and play. Theres barbecue, seats, swings and playground for children.
Great spot for a party! Lots of space on the picnic tables and close to the playscape.
One of my favorite parks in the city.
Came for a birthday party and I will absolutely come back. The splash pad was great they had so many bench options for lunching and two playgrounds for the kids.
Great alternative when Butler hike and bike trail is packed.
Has running trail plenty of green grass, picnic tables and it was very serene.
Great city park...awesome bike trails.
Nice trail. Kids are. Volleyball courts too.
Great place for a picnic! Theres plenty of picnic tables in the front for sitting as well as lots of space to put down a blanket if you prefer that. However parking can be difficult to find
Very beautiful scenery and good energy
Great park with lots of open area and greenery.
It was crowded when we got there, it seemed they had some kind of celebration going on. There were food trucks around even, there were a lot of musicians playing too. It seemed to look like a really nice looking park, people seemed to know how to keep it clean, we won’t mind visiting again when it didn’t have this much people.
Fun for kids, a clean park.. very nice
Great for a stroll.
Amazing park with a very natural feel right next to downtown, great place to relax and unwind, or grab a nice trail run!
The home of Eeyores birthday got to make it down there for Eeyores birthday trust me you wont regret it its a once-in-a-lifetime experience
Beautiful trails all throughout the park. The off leash areas were fantastic for my 2 dogs! I loved the whole park.
Long, shady trails that are well maintained. Great playspace for kids, basketball courts, picnic spaces and a splash pad. Arguably one of the best parks in Austin.
Just another great Austin neighborhood Park
Has a splash pad for young children. The playground has quite a bit of shade. Nice walking trails that stretch out on the greenbely.
Pease... nice n quite. Meditation on walking. 60&90 minutes! Morning and evening. We do!
Kind of of a wierd park. It sits on a creek which is pretty but much of it is along Lamar so the traffic is a little annoying. Its got some nice parts but there can also be areas that get blown out in heavy rain. Part of the North-South bike path runs through this park to connect the Shoal Creek path to downtown.
What a quaint park by the creek with nice trees!
Great family park. Awesome atmosphere.
Nice and quite for social distancing
Very Austin and snuggled in a nice part of town. First time there and would go back. Feels much more intimate vs Zilker.
Really nice. Pretty. Well maintained.
Trail was closed at one point and it was difficult to cross with a stroller, but otherwise its a nice shaded walk with very little traffic.
Pease District Park was hot, humid and in need of some rain, it a play area for younger children, basketball court and trailways, we made a brief visit as we were staying in the vicinity, it was quiet during this time...
Great park with lots of shade and a pond with friendly ducks. The playscape is a little dated but the kids still have a great time!
Eeyores birthday party is a feast for the senses. If youve never been you should make it a plan. Its the last Saturday in April every year
Beautiful park. Very green and nice place to walk dogs
Its popular but nice and you could play frisbee golf or volleyball or jog or walk or bike around there. And its on several bus lines. Walking distance from UT campus, which is obviously kind of a hub.
Very interesting sculpture made of all natural materials to explore and consider. Plus all the usual city park amenities - free parking, walking trails, open space, picnic tables, goofy squirrels, etc.
Perfect for a picnic. Nice water playground for kids.
It is the oldest Park with lovely trees. We did a picnic with kids. Kids enjoyed the rides. We carried out own food and drinks. Nice benches are provided to sit and relax. Shoal creek water sound gives soothing feeling as an additional motivation to visit the Park.
Good park with nice grass. Much too hot in the summer, but the grass can cool it off.
Neat installation to an already pleasant park.
While I was walking around Austin I discovered this Park and he was quite pleased to find myself in an oasis just off the beaten path. Even with all of the construction that was happening in the area this was a nice respite and there were lots of smiling people walking in all directions.
We live just across the street so this is our home park. Over the years, the park has been reorganized and getting better and better. There are a lot of dogs here. Half of the park (up of 24th Street) are unleashed zone. The other half is leash required. There are playground, and a small water park for kids. Some parts are up and down hills, good for small walks. Full of flowers during springs. There is a bike road also on the other side of the creek. Its great for everyone!
Always a treat to enjoy the trees and the walking park at Pease Park! Eeyores Birthday Party is my favorite event there by far!!Well organized and lots of things to do including food to eat and side activities. Plenty of porta-potties.The 2018 event lacked water bowls for the food though.
Beautiful place to chill. You can join Meetup every Saturday 10am-2pm to play volleybal with amazing people!
