I would have gave it four stars but they need three more Disc Golf hole baskets. Actually the whole Park complex itself I give it 4 and 1/2 Scott the pool Tennis Courts at turned into a skating rink and it keep it pretty trimmed up thats about all I got to say about that
The park has temporary clothes signs posted around the park. The park was empty and was nobody there so for me and my kids it was nice.I like that park best because its for small children as well as big kids. The play equipment is separate. Thats very important to me because my child is 2 years old and my 5 year old
Its one of the premier parks in Austin. Hiking. Pool. Basketball courts. Tennis and something that other parks dont have...a super slide thats huge! Kids will love this park...especially the slide!
This part could be an absolute treasure, but the severe lack of upkeep and amount of trash is off the chart. Old mattresses, styrofoam trash, trash bags, shopping carts, tents, homeless camping trash, and everything else you can think of distributed all throughout this amazingly beautiful Park. The disc golf course could be great, but its missing three holes. And the creek crossings are treacherous and dangerous. its an absolute shame that the City of Austin hasnt done a better job with this historic Park.
Nice outdoor skate rink. Gets taken over by soccer guys occasionally
Kids had a blast enjoying the play ground, and then adventuring near the creek.
Great course with some very cool concept holes in DIRE NEED OF MAINTENANCE AND TRASH CLEAN UP
Nice and quiet... disc golfing is fun here.., also many people rollerblade at the court. Wish there were more parking spaces tho.
Quiet place to hang out and read. Noticed a trail I want to explore.
I grew up in this neighborhood. It was fun going back in time for a little while.
Nice weather for this weekend BBQ lots space available.
I love this place cause is really peaceful
Clean and quiet. We had fun
This is our favorite swimming pool spot so far and will be even better when the kiddo grows a few more inches for the water run and water slide attractions. The deeper pool was mostly empty when we visited on a Friday (1-5 pm) unlike the other two that are more for young children who seem to be drawn to shallow splashpad- 4 ft water levels. Those two were a little crowded for me. The lifeguards seemed nice, they kept everyone in order- no running, no standing in the lap pool, no pushing, etc. One of the lifeguards even suggested to the kiddo that he take a water break because he had seen him in the pool for awhile. I sincerely appreciated his attentiveness. We are definitely going back for the deep pool and the diving board and next Summer, the slide and the water run. Its a great place to let the kiddo explore on his own when he feels like messing around in the splash pad or socializing with other children.
Well maintained and peaceful. Great place to take your dogs, go disc golfing, have a family event or just take some time to relax and enjoy the view.I would definitely suggest visiting if you are in the area.
Love this park! There are multiple playgrounds for different ages. Swings for infants and up. A hike and bike trail, basket ball courts and fields for soccer or baseball. The splash pad is a favorite of ours as well when the weather is right!
I really like this park. There are various playgrounds for different ages. Lots of swings, and there is even a splash pad! Very conveniently located, with lots of parking.
Great for trunk or treat
Its large with lots of parking and several sports fields, as well as disk golf and a splash pad. A number of vagrants live in the park but normally near the entrance. Some trash from the vagrants but generally very clean. Leash signs but a number of people walk their dogs off leash in the mornings.
My son loves playing here. When summer is here they have a splash pad available. Its a great place to take the kids to play
Open awesome space and pet friendly
The disc golf course is real fun!
Childhood stomping grounds with improvement to swimming pool and basketball court
It was peaceful.
I got the shower at the pool. It was a very nice and clean area.
A place where you can relax in a environment
Great park, well kept, with 3 playscapes for different ages. The splash pad is fun in the summer.
This park has recently had long overdue maintenance and general groundskeeping done, no doubt due to the influx of rich young white people have snapping up homes all over the neighborhood. It was never a bad park, not known for shadiness, it has just been underutilized and poorly maintained. Theres some nice space for big family picnics. Its big, and I love the disc golf course even though I dont participate in the sport, because everyone is usually mellow and friendly, and thers scattered picnic tables to sit and write and draw. And hey. We even got fancy new signs!
Nice. Different size play areas for all kids!
Great swimming pool
Great pool. Kids have a blast every time we go. Id like the slides to be open more although there is a good amount of space and activities for everyone.
Cozy with covered bench tables
Its a reasonable neighborhood park with a great splash pad open in the summer.
Large park with numerous sports fields as well as a couple playgrounds for big and little kids
Played there as a kid. Still a beautiful park.
I have been going to this disc golf course since 2011 with my husband. I would have given 5 stars, but nowadays it seems this place has turned more into a dog park which is difficult sometimes when people dont realize they are standing right in the middle of the course. Also a lot of dog owners are not picking up after their dogs!
This place needs some live from the city but its still a fun course. Basket five is missing and there is a tree planted there for some reason. Go figure.
Ok
This public pool was always super clean! It feels and looks brand new, and I was very impressed with the facilities. My son did swimming lessons here through Austin Parks and Rec, and we had a wonderful experience.
Just wanted to get out of the house
Great place to take your dogs! Be sure to wear appropriate shoes for the hilly terrain and the occasional streams and mud.
Dog friendly, off-leash!
The fields look great..Soccer/football field now has fully functional watering system..Keep the dogs off the fields and on a leash when around the ball fields and youll be fine..Fields are NOT for rent and are not for Adults unless Austin Parks/Recreation are notified first.. Final approval is determined by Delwood Sportsplex Board..Theyre easy to work with..Transients, Bums and drunks are run off..
Love this park...so many great memories
Love bringing my dog here. We both get plenty of exercise going up and down hills. Great frisbee golf park!
My daughter and I love Bartholomew. Lifeguards are attentive, slides are fun, has a diving board and play pad for small children
It was worth the cost. Did have a problem with a life guard and how he approached two of my children about the little slide. Not from austin. Next time there will look for another place to spend my money
Kids had a blast
The disc golf was pretty hard to follow. Dont go if you dont know.
Paid $15.00 for just the lap pool to be open the other to pools, slide were closed! Definitely not spending my money on this again.
Food was good the action was great Jesus was very entertaining Decor needs work it feel almost like after they install the Hibachi Grill the rest of the furniture and decorum was an afterthought prices were not bad though
What an amazing city park. Best I have ever veen too. Water Leap Frog Water Slides Lap Pool and fun fountains. The locker rooms are clean and the life guards are helpful and very reaponsible. Probably the best muniopal pool i have ever been to.
Open spaces perfect for dog walking or an array of athletic activities. The disc golf course is my highlight. Although a little overgrown at points, it’s a fun, secluded, engaging 15 hole course. The park also offers basketball courts, tennis courts, a small family water park, playgrounds, walking trails, baseball fields, soccer fields, and lots of open space relatively close to downtown. I give it a 3/5 only because the Austin parks department should do a better job with general maintenance and upkeep. Regardless, worth a visit!
Great place for young and older kids. The pool is clean, fun, and shaded. Theres a nice section for toddlers and babies. Also, a fun slide for the older kids. Its very reasonably priced too.
Awesome pet and child-friendly park funds for every member of the family I suggest you at least go check it out
Very nice to get my night recreation in. Very quiet and peaceful. Also meditation is ideal there.
Fabulous place pups love
Really cool pool park, but the open hours were listed incorrectly on Google maps. They close at 8pm.
Good. Park. Always. All times. Good. Hang. Out. Peace. & quiet
Love this small but larger then life park and my dog love it.
Love this park. Its why I love Austin. Clean and in a location that all can access.
New and improved... kids had a great time
Nice area. Never crowded.
Me and my girlfriend said at this park and disgust relationship decisions it was so peaceful at this place I must say the decisions came out wonderful Oras of an area
Great, Fun Park
Too crowed to really feel good. Dont feel Seniors should have to pay, if they are not going in the water.
Nice open space for dogs to run and play
Too much homeless
Great place to take your dog and play ball with him
Needs more lighting
Pool and park is great
Cant Wait Til The Water Part opens Up
Great memories
Disc golf course, sweet pool with tube slides Im excited to use, baseball diamonds, basketball court, picnic tables, the works.
Nice picnic area for couple s.
The heated pool in winter is wonderful. Trashcans in the picnic area are often overflowing. The playground area is perfect for little ones. Love the trees and flowers and trails.
Love this park for the last 40 years
Ok
Under construction right now, but the playground was open and we had fun!
This park was a nice size. It seemed clean until i saw a dad letting his son pee in the area where kids were running barefoot! Other than this my kids had fun and it was well shaded
Cool place nice pool for the kids
Probably one of the best parks around! It’s got a natural barrier around a large section of it that is great for just chilling out!
Regardless to anything if youre a parent always watch your kids in the
Its okay. Kind of small park.
Very small quaint little park picnic tables and benches
I believe this is the oldest Disc Golf Course in Texas. Its a 15 hole with mostly medium to short fairways. Moderate trees with a couple water hazards if the creek is running. Always a great time.
This nice little park was where a friend hosted a small birthday party for their daughter, and it was pretty nice. The area itself was pretty nice and seemed to be well-kept, so thats all you can ask for.
Skate area! rollies, yo!!!
Only fifteen holes. Some water hazards. The trail between holes suck. No real walkway and you can easily slip and get your shoes wet. Only single chain baskets. Trash all along the creek. My least favorite course in Austin. Its still worth playing though.
Pretty difficult course. Easy to lose a disk but definitely fun.
Great place for a birthday party.
Very safe park and I take my kids there all the time. Very clean as well. It has 2 park, baseball field and basketball courts. Its also a water park there as well.
The disc golf course is a mess - poorly laid out, missing baskets, unmaintained in places.
