Love the club! It’s all about the members at a private member owned club of which I only found 2 in Austin. Fortunately, the members and staff are awesome at Great Hills CC so we joined this year and have no regrets. A beautiful new clubhouse is opening this year along with enhancements to the pool, parking, practice facilities, carts, workout facilities and more. Oh and the course of course...plenty challenging.

Great club with a real ‘neighborhood’ feel. New clubhouse will open mid-2020, with much more space and brand new furnishings. Solid tennis program with opportunities for social and competitive play. I treat the bar as my local pub - I can drop in any time and run into someone I know.

In a state of total renovation with new construction however golf was great, very well maintained course. Food service is a little slow but quality is great. Overall, still a great club.

Friendly golf, tennis and swimming country club. Great for couples and families with a variety of activities. Full sit down Restaurant table service with great menu for meat eaters and vegetarians a like. Fully stocked bar and wine list. The club is expanding, building brand new clubhouse scheduled for completion spring 2021.

This is a great course design. They have a wide array of tee boxes for all ability levels. The staff is friendly and professional.

We live near the club and it is really a great place for golfers, tennis players, families, and those who are older. Its a central hub for the neighborhood and most everyone there is very friendly. The renovation is supposed to start in 2018 and take 2 years to complete and this will modernize the clubhouse and fitness center. The golf course is beautiful and well maintained and easily one of the best in Austin. As a non-member -- and what entice me -- is that the club would consider some other options to pull in the community like: having a pool for adults and another for kids, adding daycare, creating co-working space, having a couples only wine bar with romantic lighting, making the fitness center a bigger focal point, having paleo menu options, and possibly adding a dog park or community area where non-members can purchase a communal membership. I realize that these are things most country clubs dont offer, but I think they should be considered to build a younger and more non-traditional member.

Our family loves the golf course and the pool. Most people at this club are very down to earth, and weve met some of our best friends here. Cant wait for the new clubhouse!

Beautiful layout. Open front 9. Back 9 winds through canyons. Greens rolled beautifully with medium fast speed. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Im was eating the breakfast and drinking the coffee I picked up to-go this morning, and immediately started writing this review. If I had to choose one place to eat breakfast for the rest of my life, it just might be Great Hills Country Club. I could not stop thinking how much I wanted to thank them for this amazing meal, so here I am, telling the world.And while Im here, Ill mention that I love the club, the course, and the staff. Its a challenging course, but challenging in a way that makes your good holes that much more rewarding. You think you know every inch of the greens, and then you have a putt that makes you question the laws of physics. Thank you Scott, Joe, and those who groom the course, for keeping us on our toes and giving us the most beautiful place to get away-- right here at home.The staff cares, and they are a huge part of the Great Hills family. Too many to mention, but the GM Larry Harper & Clubhouse Manager Michael Stoddard just rock. Christine - I miss you always and love your face. Philip, Rick, and Taylor are great golf pros I wouldnt trade for anyone else. Nina and Hailey do an amazing job keeping the membership lively and bringing us together for great, fun events. Jacob and the rest of the staff in the kitchen (seriously, Robert, that fish rocked), are doing some magic, and I can only imagine what they will do with a larger kitchen. Chris and the tennis pros are genuine, caring, and push everyone to improve while having fun.Lastly, in this love letter to my club, Ill thank the board and my fellow members. The board meets far more often than they probably would prefer, because they are truly invested in the future of the club and the well-being of the membership. The USTA teams and WGA/MGA are all competitive, yet still one big family. The pool, fitness center, pro shop, and every other aspect really brings an array of people together.I guess its pretty obvious, but I LOVE MY CLUB! Thanks, GHCC!!!
