Excellent Trail. Semi shaded... There is a small path that leads to the river access. For those who take the path, you can get to a wonderful spot on the river bed... Very nice...

This was a pretty easy hike, with a moderate incline towards Robbie Point. Beautiful scenery, teaching moments with the railroad bridge and rr trellises.

Robie Point has amazing, quite spots to tuck away in for some peace, but its also a great starting point for the committed hiker/runner. Its not the very top, but its a climb back to the parking from any direction. Get ready to feel that burn!

Nice ruins I didnt know about until I got there. No views because of the over-grown trees, unless you climb one and see the valley below.

Absolutely beautiful! Kid friendly. Just be mindful of the hill youre on top of. Took my 2 dogs as well. Easy for them. Not a lot of shade, so if youre looking for a cool shaded walk go in the morning or late evening.

If you love to hike, and love being with One,; nature, prepare yourself for a purge, a peace that surpasses all expectations. I have been praying for a small place to rent and Im looking at Marketplace this morning and there it is. A studio, an apartment building in my budget. Okay, off I go for a hike, some prayers for a new home.I could use the extra payers.

Beautiful trails in many directions from the end of Robie point, lead down to the Confluence of the American River. This is where the famous 100 mile Western States Endurance Run comes out of the canyon, and continues one more mile to the high school to finish up an incredible sports event!

There are some moderate trails for average fitness level hikers/runners, but these are difficult trails in the upper areas. Stay lower to the river for less climbing. Hiking poles arent a bad idea, if you are just getting into mountain hiking/running.

Beautiful trails, but too many bikers constantly. so I dont suggest bringing your dog unfortunately. also after it rains many areas of the trail will sink in as the trail is very up and down. otherwise, a wonderful spot to exercise and check out nature.

A nice hike from highway 49 gate 150. A bit steep as you approach Robie point but the views along the way are worth it. Really not too much once you get to Robie point, but a good place to rest on the boulders in the shade of the oaks.
