Very nice place to go for a hike.Beautiful river, and cool bridges, with nice level wide trail.Kids to old farts, no problem.
Fantastic fun hike with river access in multiple locations. Get there early as parking is scarce and the free ones even more so. Pay attention to the signs because you can get a ticket. Labs love the hike and river a lot, well other dogs do too but Labs love it more. Be careful as sections of the river are fast and dont look it. Please dont lose your dog or kid, especially the dog, jk but not really.
Lots of trails and beautiful scenery. I find the parking a bit risky but other than that is a great place. Great for a picnic day. Please people, always clean after/during your day, we have to keep these beautiful places clean.
Interesting bit of auburn history. Dont miss the pieces of the old hwy 49 road bridge in the river after it was destroyed by a flood that the no hands bridge survived.
The Mountain Quarries Bridge has also been known as the Mountain Quarry Cement Bridge, the American River Quarry Bridge, the Pacific Portland Cement Company Railroad Bridge, the Auburn Concrete Arch Bridge, and the No Hands Bridge..
Always nice to get out in Nature and do what us animals are to do naturally, enjoy the air through hair, and letting the air sneak up there. Beautiful views, cute girls in great bikinis, Fresh air! Awesome hiking trails!
I love when tourists dont come and plug up the river and us locals get to enjoy the peaceful water and view
This place was awesome a little crowded but we still had a nice place to enjoy the view and ear our lunch.
Beautiful area, nice for swimming and hiking! I definitely be be back!
Always a great place to excercise or relax with great views.
Please dont jump off the bridge. Very clean
Cool spot. Easy to get down to the river to hang out.
So beautiful. What a great spot to hike and see.
Beautiful site seeing, overlooking the american river. Great place to clear the mind and not far from Roseville.
I love this place, its a great place to hike and swim if the current isnt bad.
Such a nice and peacful place.
Nice place to visit on a not so crowded day.........
A cool section of Auburn SRA. Also, its right next to free parking!
Wonderful place for river swimming, cold water most of the yearYou have to be careful as the flow in some areas are strong
I like the walk down to the bridge, tho it isnt always well marked. Wear good, no-slip shoes. I had no idea it was called no hands bridge. Not sure why...I hold on.
Great hiking trails, beautiful scenery...great places to make your own beach area...make sure you pay for parking or you will get a warning with a pink slip on your window...all the rangers we met were very nice and welcoming...we will be back very soon..
Nice historic bridge, it was a railroad bridge during the gold rush and later also. It gets its name because until maybe 30 years ago, there was no railing on the bridge at all! Across the American river near the confluence. There are many trails all around the area. Great for walking your dog, horses as well! Ive seen everything from llamas to cats being walked around here!
There are great views of the North fork of the American River from the no hands bridge.
Very pretty and a nice hike
Very pretty and historically significant sight
Beautiful location with a waterfall if you walk a bit up in elevation.
Great hiking and swimming spots
Gorgeous hiking trail, parking can be a bit wonky but otherwise a wonderful place to take family and friends who want to get out and go for a nice walk through some beautiful scenery in the Placerville area.
The river could be more accessible
Great place to go for a hike or to cool off in the river during the summer.
Beautiful place to enjoy the simplicity of life through nature!
Beautiful place to hike with lots of beautiful wildflowers and peaceful sounds of the river flowing.
You can feel the history there.
Heavy traffic but nice views. Fire break trail up and back down provides some nice elevation gain as a more moderate alternative to Training Hill Trail.
One of the best places in lower northern cali
Amazing and beautiful spot, walk over the river on this bridge, look up at the Foresthill bridge. Can go on great hikes from this spot, many options, fab. Hiking place. At the confluence on hwy.49 . There is limited parking, a few pay spots. If you dont get there early on a nice weekend, you probably wont find a spot.
Great place to swim. The water was so clear
Good history, views
Very high. Beautiful
Love this place. I often walk across this bridge. Completed back in 1912.
The place is beautiful
Beautiful views with minimal effort
My favorite place on the river and everyone is Killin it with awesome vibes ️
Beautiful view with Robert access great local hiking spot.
Great for skilled drivers and hikers.
Lots of hiking/running on long and wide trails.
The trail is not shaded at all so on a warm day it is not a pleasant trail to be on.
Pretty awesome
This is always a great way to introduce out of towners to the wonders of the American river. With a multitude of trails, crystal clear water and plentiful wildlife, No Hands bridge makes a great photo opportunity and place to take in the beauty of the canyon as well as the 800 ft. high Foresthill Bridge.
Naseer
Excellent view of the river
Nice short hiking trail.
Iconic crossing over the American River. Host to many Ultra races such as the 100 mile Western States Endurance Run.
This is just the beginning of the trail. Turn back and you will see the taller bridge on the mountains. This is the place when you make that decision: should I continue hiking or take a splash at the river?
Good for swimming in fall
Great views!
Very nice place, beautiful.
Beautiful must see!
Great place to head on a hot summer day. Easy to get to from Auburn. Not terribly easy river access, but nice trails for exploring and admiring the scenery.
Its a lovely place to hike with family... Gorgeous views.
Beautiful place
Always fun to go down to the confluence and visit the river. No hands is definitely a local icon down at the river. You can still find gold down there as well...
Great place to hike & be in nature
Stunning scenery that leads to hiking trails and access to the river.
This hike is great for families. It’s usually hot so bring water.
Beautiful hike..
This old railroad bridge has large open side railings which a dog or small child could easily fall to their certain death. There are PEOPLE RIDING HORSES, next to people with dogs, and others with children, across a football field long, (and only about 10 wide!), bridge w no safety railings for dogs and small children? Even if your dog is on a harnessed leash; just imagine hanging onto that leash for your dogs life after he got spooked by the two massive horses 5 away with nowhere to go but under the railings (2 high)! I was less than halfway across w my 2 dogs when they started fussing; then the middle part is completely covered for about 60-70 in a puddle, which in order to get around, Id have to have 2 dogs walking on the edges with me, within inches of certain death. Its completely unsafe and seems to be another example of the poor CA infrastructure on these type situations, as in with the Oroville dam spillway failure. This bridge is for adults on foot or bicycle, with waterproof shoes; and not pets or children until a tight lattice fencing is installed in the lower 2 feet of the side railings. Feel free to see for yourself. Be careful. My girl labs brother, lost his life running ahead on a trail that was hundreds of feet above the Yuba river, falling from a 60 cliff at the rivers edge. There were no caution signs whatsoever, and not even a sign requiring dogs be leashed; coming from a well established campground area. If Id seen a sign warning of the danger ahead, Id never have had him unleashed, nor even gone down that trail. The only sign it had at the trailhead said, TRAIL. Not worth your best friends life. Other than the danger, this place is beautiful.
Lots of fun family-friendly
Always a great place to bring the family, or bring the dogs for an adventure.
Crack hunting under the bridge was OK, but the man is full of BS on hands and pans only. That was not part of the settlement since its still federal land run by the state park
A retreat
Cool place to explore!
This is the spot. We all be swimming under here all summer!
Is worth it to visit this place
The Mountain Quarries Railroad Bridge also known as no hands.
