Nice park. Great place for a birthday party or any celebration for that matter. We like to go fishing! But also has bball courts, cool toys for little and big kids, huge grass area that stays green. Beautiful swimming area. Its really a great park and so lucky I live so close!

The water of the lake is not clear. Good for parties. There are lots of parking Spaces but there is not enough demand. There is a hill for children to play and run on. Someone is fishing. The park is quite big.

It was great! I was able to let my dog Tank go swimming and play water fetch.I also went swimming with him!There was plenty of room. He had our own little area where nobody else bugged us. We had a blast!!!

Our first time here. I have heard good stuff about five Mile lake. Wow!! The best outdoor basketball court near Federal Way... The park was well thought. Nice and clean. Good vibes. Definitely going back to BBQ with the family. Highly recommend.

Great place for a stroll, kid friendly, doggy friendly, bbq friendly! Has a nice little beach area with plenty of space to get situated. Theres plenty of grass and sand near the beachfront. LOTS of shaded area and the grass is kept well. Nice basketball, tennis, kids play area. All well kept. For the most part theres always parking.

Had a good time. The parking lot does not hold enough cars though so on a hot day when the lake is packed you have to park down Military street. It is aptly named by the way since walking down it is pretty dangerous. Cars full of ghetto kids come whizzing through at 45 mph. I was relieved and so the water was nice and warm today.

This park is cute and seems out of the way from the hustle bustle of the city but its not. The swimming area here is perfect for children and fun for adults. I would recommend it to anyone.

Nice clean park except for the lake, went here to kayak. I dont think Ill come back though. The water was really brown and gritty too. Id recommend coming here for anything but using the lake. Kayak fam: Be prepared to carry your kayak all the way from the parking lot to the shore!! There is NO BOAT LAUNCH!

Great park with water access and kids toys. Nice walking trail system is good too. The crowds here can be rough and armed robberies have been known to take place.

So they closed Five Mile Lake Park because of Rona. Who made such a decision without public approval!? Time to reelect city and park officials that actually care about you. Otherwise the lake is normally five stars.

Park is very well kept and maintained. Great spot for swimming, sun bathing, and playing. Wide open field to set up your own volleyball game or have a cookout.

It was fun. I totally forgot about the overload parking. No one really knows about it. Great park nice easy walking. Would be nice if the trail went around the lake.

Basketball games, lots of space to play soccer. And best of all a beautiful lake where you can swim and jump off a pier.

Fantastic park with lots of parking and open space. Lake is good for swimming, fishing and row boats. Great playground for kids and facilities for bathrooms. Awesome shelters with grills and water for picnics or parties.

Awesome lake to swim. No motor boats on the lake. People Floating on many different devices.

Nice park. Clean lake, bathrooms well stocked, beautifully taken care of lawns to set up picnics and a large play structure for kids. No lifeguard on duty but a nice little beach entry area to play in the water or put your paddle board in the lake. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because of parking, which is difficult to find on a nice weekend and some people end up spilling over onto Military Road for parking.

This park is gorgeous. Lots of space, 3 shelters for family outings, a fishing dock, childrens play area along with tennis courts, basketball court and a baseball diamond. Designated swimming area to cool off in and trails to walk along.

Its a huge family friendly park. lots of trees n shade. I saw left pile of charcoals on the ground. safty hazard, dont get burn, especially if u have kids. Parking situation will be difficult, pack! even street parking...

Its a nice lake park. Runners, dont let the name mislead you, the trail is only about a .75 mile loop, not 5 miles.

Great place to take your lady and or man. The weather was just right. Bring a towel to wipe the duck poop and have a seat on the bench at the waters edge.

Beautiful place even in the rain. Didnt know about it until this past week. Picnic tables. Restrooms. Walking trails.

We love this cute little lake. Plenty of park space for families to picnic. Short trails to walk your dogs. Bathrooms are open in the summer, portapotty in the winter. You can swim in the summer, but it gets very busy. Theres a hot coal drop thats fairly new. I like that feature because it helps people take care of their hot coals in a safe way after bbqing.

Fun place for the kiddos to play. Playground, but only two infant swings. (Wish they had a big kid swing too) & big toy. Great for fishing, relaxing, taking a walk/jog. The only issue was the porta potties. They were completely disgusting!!!! However, looks like in the summer time they open the main restrooms.

I like the new playground. Very convenient located showers and restrooms. Water is close. However, the sand is very dirty if you are planning to place a blanket. Better use chairs. Big area on grass to play and run. High trees are giving great shade is a sunny day.

I lived 1 block from lake tapps for 13 years, but if we arent on a boat 5 mile is my familys favorite lake day place

Its a nice local park with 2 tennis courts, baseball field, a playground, bathrooms, and a waterfront for fishing and swimming. Theres also lots of open space for playing or gathering, several picnic tables and grills. There are a couple nice shelters that can be reserved. Overall, it is a nice park for the local community. It doesnt really have anything that would draw people from any distance but its just right if you live nearby.

Big park. There is a Playground, 2 covered areas a dock, lots of water access, a sandy beach, and lots of open space. Fun almost country like drive to the park. Also has fishing access. The species I know of located in the park are rainbow trout, bluegill, and largemouth bass.

Big, had a large birthday party and so much room. Good parking. Beach looked nice, did not get to wade - next time. I will be returning.

The let kids swim in the no fishing dock area, even when youre trying to fish. Security was right there the whole time, too. Really frustrating. Some very rude kids here. Good swimming area there to use so I dont get why its allowed.

I loved the playground as it was in shape and ready to contain some energetic kids! The water was also clear with no pollution whats so ever.

A nice quiet park with bathrooms, a basketball court, trails to walk or jog and a play area for kids! I especially like the trees that provide shade for your cars. They also have a barbeque area for family and friend moments!

Nice scenic view. Pebbles and rocks everywhere. You definitely need water shoes, without them youd be in a lot of pain. Nice playground.

Nice place to go but I dont think its very safe around dusk. Not the best area but its fine during the day. Its pretty and clean. Not horrible for a small park off the side of the road. Pleanty of parking and some benches and there is also a place for kids to play on a playground. Nice big grassy field.

This is a fantastic Park if you want to hang out with your family and catch some sun when its out in Seattle. But you dont want to be out here if its cold because its super cold. I cant overstate how dangerous it is to try to swim across this lake many people have died trying. Just wade in the water do not try to swim across the lake

The park is very well maintained with plenty of space. Parking can be challenging on really popular days. They do have overflow parking but that can fill up, too.

Its a great place to hang out and to take kiddos. The play area is really cool and my 3 year old loves it!

Always a good experience here. They have a big space where people can play games, have bbqs and even just have an outside event with family and friends. Parking can be somewhat stressful when the park is full but on average it is big enough. There is a small lake where people can swim(not sure about fishing here)

Great place to take your kids. They have a fun playground area, as well as a bathroom facility. There are plenty of picnic tables for you to do birthdays and such. They also have a few coveted pavilions you can use. They allow you to bbq, and they even allow you to have bouncy houses. You can bring your dogs aswell which is nice. And if the weather permits you can swim in the lake.

Great little park. Has a nice playground, fish in the lake, clean swimming area, lots of open grass and trees. Parking is sometimes an issue.

They have changed it allot in the last ten years so as far as picnicking there outta great, I didnt get a chance to go to the water and see how it was.

Its a great place to walk your dog. Theres always ducks & geese to feed. Theres also restrooms,well? Kinda, in an emergency Id use one. Theres a playground for kids and places to have a covered picnic dont forget your charcoal and lighter fluid. Ive been going there for 40years. And 2 baseball diamonds. Alota open grassy area for a football game,2 tennis courts and a basketball court.

Love this park, it is never too crowded and the family and I always enjoy ourselves in the water, we will continue to return

Hate to see the swim dock gone. Now its just a local place to cast a line in when your kids are distracted at the play area. Great size of park but you cant step anywhere with out the geese poop

Five Mile Lake Park is a great little place to walk and take your dog. Good views of the lake and good facilities there for other activities. Even on a rainy day its a nice place to go.

Great place even though the water color is Root Beer Lol Usually the parking Lot is packed & barely any parking Space but today less 5 minutes we found the parking spot which its pretty rare for us Lol its all Depends when you arrive at the Park also the Bathroom/Shower Room needs an Update IHave to say other then that I like the place.
