Consistently 10/10, literally moved next door to be closer to this phenomenal show! We’ve been coming for years and *always* have an amazing time. You can’t go wrong! Perfect date night spot.
Whole World Improv does great improv shows and classes. I love their evening shows, especially because of the high-quality lobby bar. Parking is also very easy and free, which is rare in Midtown. This is an excellent place to see a show!
Absolutely loved this improve troop! Such a fun night- definitely worth a try if you’re looking for something to do with friends or a date!
Loved it for our date night in the city. The parking is a little strange, but you figure it out. Intimate seating that is set up perfect for improv!! Theres local artwork on the wall thats for sale, a bar and retro seating to use before and after the show!! Highly recommend!
I feel like the way I should talk to people takes a whole bunch of thinking when it comes to the scenes that were currently doing.
Awesome place to spend the night laughing and enjoying with friends!
I had a blast! It was an amazing show and I will be back.
That was an awesome show. This people have to be really smart to come out with all those funny stories in seconds. It is unique, original, unpredictable and interactive. I looking forward to go again, this place is really fun.You can also talk to the actors afterwards and they are really nice and friendly.
Great place for amateurs to get in on improv and for vets to hone their craft.
Wonderful program/classes offered for kids and teens on the autism spectrum. Imagine an environment in which your child is praised for saying something outside the bounds of social norms? This is often what our kids are criticized for. For many, Whole Worlds improv class is the first time theyve truly felt enjoyment while in a social environment, talking and laughing with others.
What a fun night out, comfy and spacious seating and lots of laughs!!!
The student days are my favorite. They are a little less polished but absolutely hilarious.. Improv improves your life.. get sum.
Love it. Erin is a fantastic actress. The whole staff is funny though. I loved it and definitely will be back.
Hard pass. Instructor (Tanya) took herself way too seriously. Maybe the comedy shows redeem the quality of the classes. There was deep understanding of absenteeism (which is cool, since most of us had non-industry day jobs), but there was a cult obsession with day-of punctuality. Which is probably why people just opted not to come. You may never get added to the frequently plugged group chat (asked three times, no bones) which is intended to cultivate engagement between classes. So basically, you will get a super affordable, slightly judgy, loosely organized free association session with an instructor who may herself be absent that day. It was a 101 or entry level evening improv class, hardly on the level of an offering by Stella Adler or Julliard. But thats why its cheap. I thought everyone knew the deal going in. Fun first, technique next! There were no Saturday classes when I signed up, either (I originally asked for this day, explaining it may be tough for me to get there on a Monday night but I was willing to pay the fee and try). They gladly accepted the money. Also, you dont get to do standup or stagework in front of a crowd until you pop for the 201 class, which if taught by this same instructor Im convinced will prove to be a disastrously unfun experience. If you want fun, without judgy, sometimy facilitation, go elsewhere. Its supposed to be fun, yall. Please lighten up!
Always a great time if we have friends or family in town. It is amazing what they do.. Keep up the great work and entertainment.
We had a great time tonight at the Whole World Improv in Atlanta. The crew were young and funny and grew more comfortable with theaudience as the show went on (probably normal). There was a mixture of young and old in the crowd which allowed me to be comfortable that all of the references would be understood. Goods show!
Good but not as funny as it used to be. A little too much disparity between the abilities of the cast members. The younger part of the crowds contributions to the performance was poor. All they know is Twitter and reality TV. So some of the skits were more stupid than funny.
I always have the best time at Whole World. Laughs are guaranteed; it doesn’t disappoint.
Whole World is a fantastic and reasonably priced spot. I’ve been going for years and always have a great time. I’ve done first dates, company parties, post-dinner theatre; Whole World is a great option for all occasions.
This is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making people laugh. Seeing raw talent in action was a real treat. Who knows, maybe one day, someone will have their name on a marquee as the primary entertainment and I can say, I knew you when...
The kind of place Ive been looking for all my life! Superb first time experience, Ill definitely be back for more! Great people and awesome interactions! Thank you for the wonderful entertainment!
First time going there. It was alot of fun.
Funny as ever! Improv is sharp and right on target! If you want to impress the boss, future family members, date, priest, rabbi or enemy, this is the place for you! Suggestions are solicited from the audience and people really do give! Being able to buy buckets of booze and yell your suggestion? What a mix! Some of the actors are permanent while others are fresh from or other backgrounds. Place is intimate enough to feel more involved with the actors. The view is great from any seat. Sometimes the staff will wander through the crowd and ask for suggestions as well. Fun! So go if you need to laugh away your sad reality!
This little place is a gem... it is a very intimate place, the theater probably only seats 50 people but it makes for a fun experience. It is like SNL but more interactive. Be prepared to get involved if you want to, shout out answers and give them ideas. There is a bar with a small selection of beer and wine and a quaint little lobby/lounge area if you wanted to come early and hang out.
I have to say it was a fun time but I had a snaphoo with purchasing tickets, admittedly I will say right out the gate it was my fault that I purchased tickets for the wrong night, and had to purchase again for the correct night. They have a no refunds policy, I didnt put up a stink and they were not overly concerned or apologetic either, and kinda seemed like it was just par for the coarse for them. Really nice staff, really nice cast, great atmosphere for a date, and Ive been there several times, but I probably wont be going back because it just feels really jacked up to throw $75.00 out of the window and nobody offers you a courtesy night or a free bottle of champagne or at least something. Its not about free stuff its all about knowing the establishment gives a damn.
Fun place to go to we thoroughly enjoyed it. Was not crowded and there was no wait to get in. Price is exceptionally reasonable for the talent and fun that you get. Alcoholic beverages are served there and we enjoy plenty at a reasonable price.I would recommend this place for Fun laughable evening.
Love this place! Actors are hilarious and its improv so its never the same show. I have taken many friends and its always a blast! Definitely recommend this place to have some beer and a good laugh.
We went on a date here for the day after Valentine’s. They called it discount Valentine’s Day. Haha. The show manager takes audience suggestions and the actors are awesome. The show is filmed and displayed on several monitors through the audience (though we were sat 2 rows fro, the back and could see the stage just fine). It’s an intimate setting - that being said, I was super uncomfortable in my seat. If you don’t get a VIP ticket and opt to sit on a sofa, you get your pick of stadium seating. The rows are so close together- I wanted to get up to pee about half way through the first act but I couldn’t without disturbing the entire row of people between me and the aisle. So that’s the only reason for the 1 star loss. The show was hilarious and I loved that they mentioned how they receive funding from the mayor’s office of cultural affairs.
This was an awesome evening out. The show was excellent.
Fantastic classes for kids. Very encouraging and supportive. And lots of fun.
Great date night activity! Funny, entertaining, and interactive! Great value for the money.
Enjoyed the show. Good atmosphere, and a decent beer selection for your pre-show needs.
Sheer talent is in the house! I loved the room, it felt very nostalgic, stirring up former feelings from the good ole days in High school in my Drama class. I plan to go more often.
Im a huge fan of Whole World Theatre mostly because of its consistency of inconsistent hilarity. Its quite painful at times, actually. I mean the pain you feel in your cheeks when youve been smiling and laughing for too long. This isnt for the faint of cheek muscles. But for real - Ive always been a happier person when I walk out than when I walk in the Whole World doors. Its a must-see show if you fill up your happy cup.
Great way to spend an evening! Everyone there made you feel welcome and there entertainment was over the top. Great place to take a group after dinner. They are very talented. ...
I took a couple of classes at this place and I must say, they really need to work on the Idea of professionalism before all else, Staff as well as students. A choreographed show is not improve, sorry!
Always a great time at Whole World; been dozens of times and I’m never disappointed! Great improv, relaxed atmosphere, and reasonably priced beer/wine. Definitely my favorite comedy spot
The performers and staff went above and beyond to help get my boyfriends wheelchair in the building. We thought that the ramp out back was an entrance but it ended up being the entrance to the stage! They even set up a spot for him in the front row before the show started. The show was incredibly funny and unlike anything else we had ever seen before! This was our first improv experience in Atlanta, definitely wont be our last. :D
I love Whole World Improv. Great talented actors/ comedians. Ive been on a Thursday for a girls night and a Saturday peak times, good small selection of beers and wines, great bartender and customer service. I like the little intimate living room style inside.
Outstanding Improvisational Comedy. Never the same show. Something for everyone and for every budget. Exceptional classes for adults and youngsters. Lovely people. Great member of the larger Atlanta Improvisation community. Not to be missed, again, and again., and again.
Went with a group and we had a great time. Totally interactive.
This little theatre is a fun spot that is worth checking out if you like improv. Tickets are fairly cheap and so are the drinks at the bar.
More fun than anybody deserve for the price of admission! Fantastic time. Incredible Talent and a unique experience and unique to Atlanta. Love these guys!
Whole world improv summer comedy camp is fantastic. My son attended three summers in a row and absolutely loved the experience. The only reason he doesnt attend every summer is because its too hard for his grandmother to get him in and out of Atlanta each morning and afternoon during traffic.
We had a great time! The cast at Whole World Improv Theatre is hilarious and quick-witted. The audience was engaged from beginning to end, participated by offering suggestions and answering questions that led the bits in unexpected directions and kept the cast on their toes. There is no way that any two shows are alike. Well DEFINITELY be visiting again soon.
I love it here classes are amazing and shoes are hilarious!! Cant wait to take another class....Sabrina
One of our favorite comic improv groups!
GREAT date idea! Ive been to Whole World on 4 separate occasions over the past 3 years, and every time went above expectations.Good atmosphere, pretty good beer and wine selection, good theater set up so youre fully involved in the show with comfortable seating, and most importantly, hilarious show.I will say that I went once on a Thursday night performance as opposed to a weekend, and the show wasnt quite as good because they have the (what seems to be) B level cast performing; however, it was still a good time and worth the money, Id just recommend going on Friday or Saturday for the optimum experience. Also, Ive been to Dads Garage, which as far as I know is the only other main improv theater in Atlanta, and not that it was bad, but Id choose Whole World over it any day. Finally, Im sure it would be fun with a group of friends, but Id definitely say its more of a date-place: dim lighting, intimate seating, etc. Definitely not a knock on them, just know what youre going for.
So much fun. So funny. Love it everytime I go
I love going to shows at Whole World. They are always entertaining and very professional. I also have taken their Improv 101 class which has been a great learning experience and very fun. I definitely recommend Whole World for an affordable fun night out
Great spot for a date nite! The improv people we saw were very funny and quick-witted. Lots of audience interaction and participation. Not much more you can ask for! They also have a fully stocked bar that have reasonable prices, so thats a bonus.
Great experience & very fun. They embrace creativity, confidence & humor. If you ever need a good laugh or some experience with improvisation, Whole World Improv Theatre is the place to be. I AM NOT LYING :-)
I’ve been a huge fan of Whole World Theatre for years!! It’s a perfect date night and they can accommodate groups of any size. It’s casual, interactive, relavent and raw! The actors and misicians are incredibly funny and every show is unique. They have a bar and friendly, informative staff. You really can’t go wrong with a night a Whole World!!
I was in town for a national conference and looking for something to do on a Friday night when I found this theatre. I wasnt disappointed. The improv show was almost 2 hours long with a 10 minute intermission. There is a full bar and comfortable accommodations if you arrive 45 minutes before the show like I did.Would gladly come back and catch another act or two.
Fun show where audience participation is a MUST!
My son takes a weekly improv class here. he loves it so much and improv as really helped him to understand emotions better.
Been to a few of their shows in the past 8 years, and they always manage to perk up my evenings.Laughing is absolutely needed to make the day go easier, the evening go joyously. Whole world theater has done that for me (and others who were laughing at the comedy with me).Bravo!
HIGH---Larious. Keep up the good laughs.
Our son took an Improv class at Whole World Improv. He loved it! The instructors were fantastic and engaging. They took an authentic interest in each of the students and helped them grow their skills. We definitely recommend their classes>
Ive been 3 or 4 times now with a big group of friends, and we absolutely LOVE it every time! Its always different and fresh every time we go, and the laughs just keep getting louder and louder. FIVE stars all the way!
Lots of fun. My wife and I’s First date
Hilarious! Perfect spot to bring a date. And cant beat the price. I love how they get the crowd involved. Would definitely recommend it for anyone trying to have a good laugh.
Been going here for years! The shows are always fantastic! The staff is always friendly. If you are looking for a fun night out (date, birthday celebration, bachelorette, etc.) hit up Whole World! You can get drinks and enjoy a great night with lots of laughs!
Ive been multiple times and the cast are always so lively and entertaining. Different games make it a different experience each time. Ill keep going back over and over!!!
Had a fun time. We luckily went on a night when there was another group (I think work colleagues) so it was nice and busy. The improv was funny and good for any types of sense of humor.
Improv 101 is excellent, met great people and learn some of the craft of improv. Carlos is a fantastic instructor and everyone has been very welcoming.
Veery good place to go and have something different for the night. The actors are very funny and the sketches are awesome. Would definitely come back again
The World Improv has the best improv that Ive seen in a long time! You can pay alittle more for the VIP comfy couches or just sit in the chairs. Not as comfy but they cost less. The entertainment starts from the moment you are welcomed by the host! My advice - The bar serves beer and wine and you can grab a few candy bars or snacks, but thats it. So dont come hungry.
Fun venue and a great show. I had a lot of laughs. A great date spot after dinner.
Thought it was a cool spot until I went and a joke was made around unarmed black men and the police. With what has been happening, that’s not a laughing matter.
Anytime that Im in Atlanta I hit this place up for a good laugh! Tons of fun and an evening you wont forget or regret. Definitely check them out!
Lots of laughs, great atmosphere! Loved the evening. Will definitely go again.
As soon as I enter the theatre, I feel that I am, as an audience member, an important part of the show and treated that way. Then as far as the show, I see a lot of improv shows all over the world, and your shows at the Whole World Improv Theatre are always funny and entertaining. Comedy is personal and comes from surprise. ..the whole show is engaging and I laugh so hard my sides hurt.
My son took the classes several times, so much fun and entertainment!
Absolutely amazing.... laughed lots and had a blast
Reviewed by -The Most Positive Actor in Georgia. This improv place is Fan-FreakinTastic! Great date spot just went there last night to watch a show. Probably want to get there 30 min early to get one of the good seats up front. Well worth it. Best in Georgia ! -The Most Positive Actor in Georgia
HILARIOUS!! been going here every year for my birthday for the past three years, love every minute of it
Loved it. Great environment. Kind of pricey
Company of Great Improv Actors! Whole World Theatre is the best in Atlanta and I feel happier and invigorated after every performance I see there. Highly recommend.
Ive been in Atlanta for 5 years now and this is by far the best place to go for comedy. When I have friends visit from out of town I take them here. 10/10 would laugh again.
Very funny shows. Lots of audience participation. Clever quick group of performers. I enjoy myself every time I go.
This was my first endeavor in improv comedy, and I was impressed with the comics ability. The show was funny, the drinks were reasonably priced, the venue was clean.
Awesome improv! Go a see a show here. The Star Wars themed show on May the 4th was amazing.
Excellent underground atmosphere. Good wine/beer bar. Extremely entertaining cast and ample audience participation
So much fun! Been to tons of comedy clubs but this was our first improv trip. Friends who went with said it was the best improv show theyd ever attended.
Fantastic. We had a blast and many many laughs.
Great Improv! Definitely recommend!
Went to my first improv show here and Im now hooked i cant wait to go again and hopefully its as good or my hometown! or at least half as good!
My hubby surprised me with tickets for our date night. We had a blast! The comedians are absolutely incredible! Get ready to laugh!
I went for thr first time last night and it was the best!! Absolutely hilarious
Hilarious each and every time!!. I love the audience involvement. Great for night out with friends or even a hot date
Fun. Great first date place
4th time Ive been here. Very funny! Staff is amazing.
This place is amazing. Ive never had a bad experience. The cast at WWT are awesome. The interaction with the crowd and the atmosphere are sure to have everyone ROFLTMFAO every time. Ive left every show barely able to breathe from laughing so much. 10/5 stars. Would Whole World again. And again and again and again.
