Very beautiful Asian antique shop, mainly Chinese antiques. The collection is rich and worth visiting.
Peter was very friendly, HONEST, and patient with me when I called to ask about repairing my mothers vase. What I liked best about him is that after reviewing pictures of the broken pieces, he let me know up front that it was unsalvageable. Many places would just take your money and then do a shoddy job. Peter was very upfront and honest and I valued that the most. He has great customer service and I have new place to go when I am in the market for antiques!
Thank you, Peter, for going over and beyond what most people would not do. He has taken time during the evening hours and weekends to research and explain some of my Asian pieces. I have never stepped foot into his store or purchased from him and he still offers his services and advice free and so promptly. Just by sending a photo here and there, and in no time he is responding with quality trusting information that has been very helpful to me. Thank you! You can guarantee I will be making a trip to your store in the near future. I have told my collector friends about you and we all hope to see you thrive and flourish.
Owner Peter was very helpful over the phone, had me send a picture of a sentimental furniture item I was undecided about selling and offered helpful information that allowed me to make the right decision. He answered all my questions and responded quickly to additional ones that I had.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Contacted them about a few pieces handed down in the family and they were prompt and courteous providing a recommendation. Highly recommended.
Very skillful and knowledgeable. Peter was great with all my questions and right on point. Highly recommended for proper and fair assessments.
Not many antique repair shops in Atlanta and I think I found the best in Mandarin Antiques on Cheshire Bridge. My wifes beautiful Don Quixote-on-horseback ceramic statue was shattered into a half dozen pieces and look unfixable. Mr. Chan was very hospitable and helpful. The statute was ready within the week and the work was excellent, just 2 cracks that are barely visible-- I bet few artisans could do better. Reasonable price, excellent turnaround time and wonderful service with a smile. Also very good at replying to messages and following up. My #1 repair shop moving forward. Great work!
Ive ben relying on Mandarin Antiques for almost ten years. I absolutely love my antique Chinese altar, the funeral figures, and thescroll brushes that I purchased from Peter Chen, and Im awaiting a lovelyscroll from an artist in Shanghai. Peter is honest, informative, reliable, and warmly personable. We have recently moved from our large housein Texas to a smaller place in Denver, CO., but I would not part with theprecious treasures that I acquitted from Peter/
I bringing pieces to Mandarin Antiques for consign quite ofter They have a very quick and profitable turn around. The appraisals are very accurate and they work with you to make the most you can with your items. They are very friendly family owned and stuffed wonderful to be around with.
Great store. First time in the store and I was very impressed with the showroom and the service. Would recommend this store to anyone.
Peter was very helpful and knowledgeable.
I went initially for an appraisal of an antique bowl I owned, and was impressed with with how knowledgeable the staff was with the history behind the piece I brought in. I ended up keeping the bowl but leaving with a lamp, and will definitely be returning in the future.
Okay, this is our new go-to spot for antiques (and replicas) from Japan and China. Peter has the knack of allowing you free reign to browse; when you call for him, though, he has good information and is quick to provide useful details. We found a treasure -- a beautiful low, red table -- sequestered away in a back corner of the second floor, so be aware your patience in poking around can be handsomely rewarded. The second floor is easily overlooked, so be sure to scout out the entire place. Highly recommended.
Stunning collection. Business run by the most humble and friendly family from Beijing.
