Jacob was an amazing guide and was very knowledgeable and explained how things worked. We did “outbreak” and didn’t make it through so after we decided to do “clown” and escaped that one! Both equally challenging but offered different puzzles and challenges! We were just visiting for 2 days and are extremely happy we decided to stop and do this! Make sure to go up the elevator to the 4th floor to the right.
Im not an expert at escape rooms but I have been to about 5 of them in deferent parts of the US. I will have to say that this is the worst one I have seen. Everything is gross and dingy I was scared of getting covid from this place. The bathrooms were not maintained and they do not have any hand sanitizer anywhere. You have to touch an ipad for the waiver and all the optional we escaped banners at the end with no way to sanitize your hands after. The host was very friendly but when we asked for a clue he just gave us the answers.
Pretty confused by all the great reviews. This escape room is the most low budget one I’ve been in. It’s insanely hot with just a tower fan. It’s in a sketchy building. The escape wasn’t even planned out great. I’ve been in many across the country and never got stuck in one due to a riddle. Literally 4 different riddle and math problems to leave the room, no exploring, no finding items, math problems... low budget. Would never spend a evening there again. staff was friendly though
We had a really fun time here. The puzzles and riddles were challenging and so much fun! Nico and the team are awesome, cant wait to go back soon!
We played the basketball one and it was awesome!! Such a creative theme. The staff were amazing, stevon was our lifeline and super awesome, and Nico was so welcoming when we got in. We’ll definitely be back :)
We sadly didnt make it through the Pharaoh room but gosh darn it we were close! Phoenix made it such an amazing and fun experience. He was brilliant and an epic game guide. 10/10 we will be back!
We booked the clown room for a Saturday at 5. We received a call a few hours before our booking saying that because of precautions taken to protect against COVID 19, we would have to choose another time and room. I respect that they need to take precautions, but it was too short notice for us because we had other plans. We asked for a refund, but were told that the only way to process a refund was by emailing someone rather than over the phone. I have not gotten a response yet and its been several business days since I contacted them. This would not have been a problem if they would have given more notice or let us know closer to the time we booked. Im still waiting for at least an email from them. Annoying.
Nico, was the best, his clues were on point and helped us get out.Would definitely recommend coming here.
The rooms are challenging and incredibly fun! Theyre very well themed, and the staff gets the fun going even before the room starts.10/10 experience! We came for one room and stayed for multiple
The escape room experience will be great. There are great aesthetics and a lot of thought has been put into that side. The overall experience is terrible. The location is a run down, sketchy apartment complex with broken down cars in the parking lot and cars packed to the street so that you cannot park. There is no signage directing you to the correct floor. The employee we dealt with was disinterested and just going through the motions. This game is obviously managed offsite and has no one to own it there in the facility. Very disappointed with the overall experience.
We did the Outbreak room which was marked as one of the most difficult ones they have. The room itself was decorated nicely and went along with the theme great, the first few clues were great and we felt we were getting through everything well. Then, a certain puzzle they had was so messily done it took us almost 30 minutes to just match up the numbers (that were painted sloppily and weren’t clearly identifiable). It was so disappointing as it had nothing to do with solving anything, it was just if you happened to match things up right. When we finally got it and made it to the other room, a clue was tampered with and had the voices of the employees messing around and singing on it. They did not apologize for this error and just laughed about it.I have done many escape games across the country and I always find it disappointing when certain places have clues in their rooms that make it almost impossible to get out in the allotted time. It should be more about solving riddles than being lucky enough to match up a poorly made puzzle. It was not worth what I paid for.
So fun. Niko was great! we almost offed him w a fake ax. sorry niko!
We had a lot of fun. Definitely a team effort for the Pharaoh room. We made it out w/ 1 min left!! Great time
I absolutely love coming to this place. I’ve done the outbreak game twice now and we ended up beating it the second time. The staff is super nice (Nico is super cool!) and they just made the experience 100x better. I highly recommend going here with some friends!!!
Something fun you and your friends or family can do as a group.
From an Escape Room fanatic!Well, to begin, parking was horrible. We booked the entire room of Pharaoh on my nephews birthday and I had to continuously circle the parking lot to obtain decent parking. The overflow was quite far for a female to walk in the dark. The staff was helpful and patient as we were late secondary to the parking issue. The Pharoah room was nicely decorated, but sweep the floor! Now onto the actual game. Not boasting, but most of us were physicians and some of these puzzles and clues were BAFFLING! Like minimal logic. For example, an up arrow with an alphabet, is an up arrow! The staff member said oh its just an arrow. I have played Escape Rooms throughout Georgia and New Orleans and I have NEVER EVER been stuck in the first room! The staff member gave us clues to guide us, but we had to continuously ask her to repeat what she said because she sounded congested.I love a good challenge, but some of this needs to be revised. I feel like I wasted $360.Luckily, the staff member was kind enough to let us into the second room, which was super cool by the way.
After doing almost a dozen escape rooms in the Atlanta area, we tried the Pharaoh room at Big Escape Rooms. It easily ranks as my least favorite room Ive done so far. Everything felt amateur from the room theming to the puzzles themselves. The puzzles were incredibly easy. We used one clue, and the game master was clearly just reading a clue from a script because she told us something we had already found out. Turns out we didnt need the clue anyway and we escaped with 25 minutes left and our entire group just felt disappointed with the whole experience. We had a group of 4 and Im so glad we didnt get paired with another group. 12 people would be WAY too many in that room. There were hardly even 12 puzzles.I like to do all of the rooms at a location before moving to a new escape room (Ill run out of rooms in Atlanta eventually) but I cant imagine returning to Big Escape Rooms. I cant for the life of me understand how they have so many 5 star reviews.Escape rooms are awesome and I encourage everyone to try one out because I think theyre a blast. Just try one out somewhere else, because this is the worst one Ive done in the Atlanta area.
Great experience with stevon! Awesome place
I loved every minute of it. If I could give more than five stars I would. The atmosphere was so dope, easy to find and pay. The manager Nico was so helpful and so nice. I would recommend this place to come with friends on a late night. 10/10
This was somewhat sketch at first. The Escape Room is located on one of the floors of, what appeared to be, an apartment building. Upon walking in I wasnt sure if people lived there or where to go initially, as no one was at the counter. I wouldnt come here unless you have a discount of some sort. The hosts were super friendly but the room I was in, the sports room, was dumb raggedy. Very minimal effort was put into the room; I was almost squinting. Ive been to other Escape Rooms and this one doesnt make the cut.
The clown room is my favorite! The outbreak is a lot harder and I found the clown to be more fun. Jacob was great at assisting us, he made the experience amazing! Definitely will come back in the future!
We enjoyed it was kinda difficult at first but with the staff and my friends we made it out lol
Building is not marked so it was hard for us to find. Inside the room was a little shabby. The clues didnt make much since and we were given the answers a few times, when simply asking for help. Kinda took the fun out.First escape room, will not return
I absolutely enjoyed this escape room. I had been wanting to do one for so long and I finally got a chance to. This escape room was inside of a building which it reminded me of the actual movie “the escape room “. I loved the creepy feeling that it gave us. We played the “clown” which was very fun. I’m not going to say too much because I want everyone to have their own experience but definitely check it out. Have fun
Great staff and a very enjoyable atmosphere. We are part of the 9% lol. Great place 11 out of 10 recommended. Shout out Nico.
My staff and I attended for a team event. We had a great time. The game master was very friendly and did a great job. She is the reason for a 4 star. Other than that, I would say it is mediocre for an escape room. We did the Outbreak room and escaped with 3:36 left. You could say we are pretty seasoned at escape rooms and have seen our fair share of them. This particular one was all over the place. It honestly didnt flow and many of the puzzles didnt make sense. If you HAVE to have a clue from the Game Master in order to complete a puzzle, it isnt designed correctly. This was the case for about 3 different things. I also think that they need to spend some time on fixing props. They are worn and even have sharp screws sticking out of multiple places. Overall, it was a fun experience and one I would recommend for those who want a challenge.
That was so much fun. We escaped at the very last minute
After doing almost 20 escape rooms in US, I say we had the most boring game master ever!! The room (outbreak) is the reason for 2 stars though!! Tooooo hard puzzles (I love hard puzzles don’t get me wrong, but, too hard, very lame puzzles, with a boring game master, that definitely brings you down!) in general, very disappointed and bored, and will never go back!
I went for my birthday and had fun definitely will come again.
We waited 25 minutes and no one was there to check us in and we called twice the establishment and no one still showed up. Ended up just leaving. Absolutely no one showed up when they opened at 9 am. Was there from 10:22-10:46am
Loads of fun. Challenging puzzles. Great experience. Will be back.
Its always fun here and every room is full of surprises and exciting stories and hints. Great hospitality.
I did the clown escape room and it was super fun! I would definitely come again.
Booked the clown escape room. Planned whole day around this event unfortunately they called us an hour before saying the clown room sprung a leak and we werent able to do that room. They wanted us to do the Egyptian room another hour after our schedule time, which was a bit of an inconvenience on our schedule for the day but because of this we wanted vouchers to come another day to do the clown room since the kids were so excited for that room. The manager that day said she was unable to do that for us so we ended up canceling and it ruin our whole day and our kids are so disappointed. Which is crazy to me since they took our money for a specific room that we booked and they werent able to fill that request. It wouldnt be any extra cost to big escape room to accommodate our request and never lose a customer long-term. We ask for the owner to give us a call and were still waiting for that call. So I guess the manager never informed the owner what she did that day and how she handled the situation. So now I would never recommend this place to any of my friends are family and theres plenty of other escape rooms around Atlanta.
A very great experience! Definitely worth the money, and puts your mind to the test
Lots of fun but the hints could have been more helpful rather than just reading from a script.
We did Outbreak. Genuinely challenging. Matthew did his best to thwart us.
“Clown”. This one was so bad that I felt compelled to write a review.1. As someone stated below, don’t expect me to sign a piece of paper that says you can charge my card later, when I just came in and you charged my card, in person, with my ID in hand. That policy is ludicrous and not one escape room we have ever done has this EVER been asked of us, and this was room 106 in 8 states.2. Game master was friendly enough but the radios are hard to understand if they are too loud.3. The Room itself was mediocre at best. While you don’t need heavy tech in rooms, your decor and clues should match your theme and be solid in design. Random lockboxes to pull more clues from is not solid design. One clue was clever, the rest just not.4. I’ve never had to use my personal phone to call a number as part of a game. I feel indifferent about it, but some folks may not want their number going to some random Maryland number. Not sure why you have a phone in the room to “call”, if it doesn’t work.5. The intermediate room tech was also not working apparently, and the storyline had to be read over the radio and hard to understand.6. The final puzzle needs to be fixed. Plus the way you have it built, it will break over and over again. This room was probably cool three years ago, but now you can go have an experience ten times better for less money; no way your rooms are $30 rooms.Sorry guys, “Clown” was not worth it.
Lady was very unclear and we couldn’t understand her for the life of it. she seemed angered when we asked her to repeat clues. first time we went, the guy was great and helped us out. the second time (this time), we could not understand her at all
I went to the escape room for my birthday celebration. It was such a wonderful experience! Myself, along with my boyfriend, his niece and sister all were first time players. We enjoyed the picture taking session since it was the first thing we encountered. We then meet the host Char who was very friendly, engaging and overall a great host. She gave us a great tutorial of what the basis of the escape room was all about. Once we entered the room it was fun to work together to attempt to solve the mystery. I love the fact that Char was attentive to our game playing skills and gave us clues as requested. The only thing i would recommend is more time for beginners. (Hints we didnt solve the mystery but came close)
Group of 4 made it out of pharaoh with one second to spare. Clues were necessary this wasn’t easy. Loved the intricacies of the puzzles.Char was so cute but also in character and super helpful. Love her energy.
Wonderful experience!Phoenix was our guide and we could tell he enjoyed his work.We were a group of 4 in the Pharaoh room and just managed to complete the mission in the hour allotted to us, only radioing in for 2 extra clues.Of course, youre self conscious at first but when you really get into it, its a load of fun.
Parking is inadequate. The escape rooms are food and staff is great. But you must improve the parking. Staff is the only reason why this is even getting a rating. Horrible parking.
Had so much fun. Amazing place !!!
Terrible. The only reason they’re getting any stars at all is because Google makes you give at least one, and the set pieces were okay. We did the Pharaoh room, and the girl giving us clues gave us all three on stuff we already found, and read straight from the script. We ended up not getting out because the code on one of the locks was reset wrong, and we knew that with over 10 minutes left— but the game master did not answer us when we brought it up. Ive done several escape games and this was by far the worst. We will not be coming back.
We had so much fun doing outbreak!!! We didnt get out but well beat the next room!
A fun experience indeed for a team building opportunity. The Outbreak Room was extremely surprising and creative with props and plenty of locks to crack codes.
We did the Clown room. Did not get out in time, although we had the clues. Our room was really interesting!! Phoenix was a delight. We’ll definitely be back!!
Very solid escape room. Phoenix was excellent as a guide. Managed to trip on the finish line and run out of time on the last clue. Will definitely be trying again.
Angle was the best! Thanks! I had a blast in real life. I definitely recommend her and big escape experience.
A few choices to choose from. The host was pretty dry and couldnt understand everything she was saying. When we didnt finish we asked for another clue. It was due to one of the key props not being setup correctly. When we asked why the only reason was . Kind of disappointing
We did the Clown room tonight and it was awsome!! Definitely made me think a lot!! Thanks to our guide Mr.Phoenix for making it super real for us! Even though this room was really a blast some of the clues did not work. We lost a lot of time trying to get the game masters attention to help us. If we had not completed several rooms in the past there would have been no way for us to figure out some of the clues. A few weeks later we got a group together and came back to give Big Escape Rooms another try and decided to try Pharoh. We absolutely hated that game! Things were falling off the walls and when we got to the second room the exit door opened up and said that we had complete the room even though we still had 3 locks to go!! We have been to many escape rooms/games and this by far was the most disappointing. You can tell when a business really cares and when a business has just given up... this business has given up... not worth your money.
We visited the location as part of my wifes birthday and it was great. To clarify we have already done many escape rooms before. The clues were interesting and the only complaint I had one was that one of the clues was just a little difficult to handle and get exactly right since you hand to be really precise. We participated in the outbreak scenario and it was very unique, innovative, and certainly atmospheric. Our game manager was Staphan and she was very willing to help and verify our clues without giving too much away!
Played clown. Pretty nice room, game master was enthusiastic, decent theming. Went with three people and got about 2/3 or 3/4 the way through the game. Good price. Only negative was things were some unclear ways forward in the game and one of the props wasnt working.
Had a little trouble finding the place but once we got in, we had a blast! Great clues in the rooms & great level of difficulty! We made it out! Thanks, Damien!
Great escape room! The puzzles were a challenge and the guide was fantastic. Would definitely go back.
So much fun! The people are really kind and helpful and the puzzle was a great level of challenge. Def recommend!
What a great experience for my family! We had a 13 and 15 year olds with us and they loved it too! We did the “Outbreak” room but didn’t escape for it was too difficult but were highly engaged the whole time!
Loved this experience. We saved the world. We will see you in the next life.
Had a great time! It takes a lot of concentration and focus to complete the room. If you go try and stay focused on the task because 1 hour is gone before you know it.
I am giving a rating of 2 due to policies and procedures. I paid in advance online, in which I received an email receipt. When I arrived, I was asked to complete a form that stated that I authorize, the amount I previously paid, to be to be deducted. It also asked me to list my card information. I refused to sign the form as written. Since, I wrote the words, do not on my form in addition to paid online I was forced to provide a photo id to be copied and sent to a manager, that I asked to speak to several times, but was told no. If I did not provide the id, I was told I could not go in the escape room. If I paid online, there is no way I should have to provide this type of information. If a fraud occurred, I would have no ground to dispute it when I have signed this form as is. The guy waiting on us told me it kept anyone from coming behind me saying they were me. Not buying that. You should make people show the email receipt for verification or develop a QR Code system.
Told the woman that we were new to Escape Rooms. We were not told the puzzles have to be completed in a certain linear order. We each started in a different part of the room and were frustrated. Also the room had a magnet issue and one of the locks wouldnt open, even with the combination. I see the owner only responds to 5 star reviews, but this was pretty frustrating for a beginner level room.
Char was an awesome host and really played the part. Awesome team building activity for our staff! Will be coming back now that I understand how things go! If you can guess we failed!
Angel was amazing we had so much fun in the clown room so close but yet so far away
Great experience. Would try again. 10/10 would recommend. Most fun Ive ever had. If I could live here, I would. Im going to try to come back every Saturday. In fact, one day, I will bring my kids here! It will become a family tradition that will live on forever.
Came here for my birthday. It was really fun! We did the Pharaoh room and the clues were tough and well thought out to me. We had a group of 5 and we were really close but didnt solve it in the hour time. We look forward to another time.
It was challenging. We did not make it but still had an awesome good time. Thank you for the experience.
Wow... This place is so much fun!! The staff, especially Char, were so kind and fun. The puzzles were hard, but my group had an excellent outing and had plenty of fun. Would definitely recommend to those who want a challenge.
I showed up with a group of friends last minute on a weekday night but we still had a blast! Mandy was very nice and helpful but only when we needed it! We did the Pharaoh room which was fun!4 stars instead of 5 because of a few small things...the building is pretty old and parking is weird. Also, I was not a fan of the paper CC form I had to fill out even after i had given my CC info over the phone.
Went for a 9pm slot in the Pharaoh room, but we did not get into the room until nearly 10pm. Along with that that walkie talkie they use for clues was almost inaudible, and the staff member on the other side was evidently working two rooms at once so she would take some time to answer just for us to have no idea what she was saying. The room is very open and has some interesting clues and mechanics, however as soon as we got to the second half of the room we began collecting items and found that the item needed to beat the room was just laying out. We tried to keep going with the room but got stuck on a lock with a very particular combination. After an extended time on the lock we asked for clue; the staff member told us the clue and we tried with no luck. So we asked if our combination was close to which she said we were one off. We reworked and tried again with no luck and asked if our new combination was correct and she said that it was.We attempted this combination on this lock dozens of times to no avail, reconfirming at least 10 times with the staff that the combo was correct. Finally she came in the room and tried herself and it did not work — because she had been giving and confirming the wrong combination the entire time. Everyone makes mistakes, no big deal, but that along with “beating” the room because it wasn’t put back together properly was just overwhelmingly disappointing. We were offered gift cards for the issues but we do not live in or near Atlanta so we asked kindly for a refund and were denied aggressively. Every business has off days but we will not be returning to Big Escape next time we are in Atlanta.
Good staff. Great room.
FANTASTIC escape room! We did the basketball room and it’s great for beginners! Josh was a fantastic host! He was very kind and funny! When we were in the room he was very respectful of our efforts and didn’t cut in until we really needed it in order to be respectful! I highly recommend visiting!
This place was fun!! Id love to come back here. I failed to get out on time but it was a very fun experience. I did the outbreak one but no spoilers. This is a great place to go to and I would recommend it for a fun activity. And bring at least 3 or 4 other people because you will need it. THANK YOU BIG ESCAPE ROOMS
Difficult but very fun! Char was a great guide! We did the outbreak escape room. Would definitely recommend!
Traveled to Atlanta for my birthday weekend on a couples trip and decided to do an escape room since none of the guys had ever done one. I’m highly disappointed that this One was so bad and I’m hoping they don’t judge all of them based off of this one and decide not to do them anymore. I’ve done escape rooms in several different cities LA, Houston, Memphis etc. This one was nothing compared to others. I’m normally not one to compare businesses because all are great In their own way but this one really lacked so much. The rooms are so small and Poorly decorated. In a escape room, clues are suppose to flow in sequence, one clue should lead to the next this one did not. We had 3 clues, she was giving us clues to puzzles we had already completed so unlike other ones she clearly wasn’t watching us or listening. The walkie talkies they use Are dollar store brand so you can Barley make out what she’s saying as she gives clues. Once the game was finished she came in and did her spill of showing us what we missed. Come to find out the page we needed to figure out one clue was missing the lady said “the manager must have messed up while resetting the room “ as if that’s our fault. Then one of the puzzles on the wall, one of the coins that had a number on the back for one of the locks got stuck. The girl stated “yeah that one always gets stuck “ again as if that’s our fault. In conclusion this escape is just ran poorly, put together poorly, and I definitely would waste anymore money here.
Awesome, fun and challenging. Definitely recommend!
Dont waste your money, go somewhere else. They dont take care of the room in the basketball room the last to clues are broken any way.
I have done at least a dozen escape rooms, and unfortunately, Big Escape Rooms definitely does not rank too high on my list. Oddly enough, it wasnt so much the escape room itself that necessitated the lower score. To start, parking was basically non-existent, although apparently they have valet parking during peak hours. Guess its not too much to ding a company for given that they are in Atlanta proper. The elevator was also down, so we had to walk up a pretty dinky stairwell. Oh well! The second weird thing was that even though I had paid online, I was required to fill out a paper credit card transaction form. What in the world is that all about?! I am not exactly interested in putting my CC information on a piece of paper, even if only part of the number is given (you still have to give security code, name, and expiration date), to some random employee for a $33 game. Thats definitely something Ive never done... well, anywhere.Anyhow, to the game! We tried Pharaoh, which was a fairly decent room. I wont give any details, but suffice to say, the decor was 5 star, but the clues/puzzles were a bit lacking in number. A couple of clues did not work properly either. Finally, the staff was pretty great! In conclusion, in general, nothing terribly special about this escape room.
This experience was really fun! Although my team and I did not make it all the way through, Char (the worker there) was extremely helpful and high spirited. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in Atlanta.
Worst experience of an escape room ever! The escape room is located in a building that also houses students and is on the 4th floor of a college dorm. Upon arriving to the check in desk, we are asked to write down our credit card information, including full name, card number, expiration date, and zip code. The game master advises us that the internet is down and she is unable to watch us via cameras in the room, which made it extremely difficult for clues. The room had a thermostat that didn’t work and it read 85 degrees in the room. We traveled from Charlotte, NC to come experience the “most immersive escape room in the world” as advertised and were extremely dissatisfied. I wouldn’t waste my money (30 dollars) on this low budget so called escape room.
AMAZING! I went here for my birthday and as a first time escapee, this was the best experience ever! Had a blast! Created memories and had some laughs even through our haunting predicament!! 10/10. Definitely coming back!
Awesome! Outbreak was very difficult.
Had a fantastic time, sadly the escape room we wanted to go to was having some issues so we did another one instead. The employees were really kind and the room itself was really cool. I would reccomend anyone to go here and have a good time.
I would definitely recommend the clown escape room. It was fun and challenging. The level of difficulty was medium. We had a blast. We didn’t finish but it was worth it and char was kind, knowledgeable, and helpful.
Thanks for the amazing experience! The pharaoh room was very fun and we stayed involved! Char was an excellent guide during our game and helped when needed without giving too much away. We will definitely be back
It was challenging but fair enough to be able to get out in time. I really recommend for team building experiences.
Cool place to do an escaoe room, regardless of party size! My group of 3 was able to do a three room space, but it never seemed to lag or get boring. Thanks Pheonix!
We had so much fun! The entire experience was engaging and exciting. Our guide Stevon was so helpful and nicd.
