I love looking at their saltwater tanks. Their prices are awesome and they always have a big variety of freshwater fish . You can find anything youre looking for at the store and if not Im sure they would order it for you.

Called in a panic due to my snake not eating and starting to loose weight. Jarod saved my snakes life, he not only was knowledgeable in the trade but went above and beyond in an effort to help me. He put aside mice for me and walked me through different tricks to get my baby to eat. I have never had a bad time at this store and 100% recommended it for everyone. The staff has a wide array of knowledge and they are passionate about what they do. Its 1 thing to get a store associate who is able and happy to help its a whole new experience to have someone be passionate about what they are doing. Love this place and adore the people!

I have went into Berts multiple times over the past few months, i never get greeted just followed around occasionally by some of the workers. They have puppy pads underneath some of their reptiles because it’s “easier to clean”, they don’t socialize them, they keep iguanas who need 6 foot enclosures in 2 foot enclosures, they have incorrect substrate in them (some animals need higher humidity, some need more dessert temperatures). not sure if they don’t know how to care for them or they do & just don’t care

Avoid like the plague!! Purchased a $30 fish to add to an established tank and died within a week and contaminated the tank. Brought back and was told we only give 24 hour warranty on fish.. No sorry, no nothing. Don’t do business here, go a mile down the road to petsmart and save yourself the higher price and headaches of Bert’s!This is how you treat your customers, if there is a complaint you bash them... If there has never been a complaint then you would have 100% positive feedback...

Bad experiences with purchasing a basking light bulb that did not work. Tried to exchange or return, but they have no return policy on bulbs due people ripping them off in past. Customers in the future should be informed about policy before purchase and get to test bulb before leaving store.

Just took my 5 month old stubborn puppy to get her nails cut and the techs were amazing with her. Very patient and calming towards her. I will be taking her to Berts for now on.

Horrible leopard gecko care. The two adult leopard geckos are crammed in a tiny tank with one hide. The brown one is severely dehydrated and has stuck shed in many places due to lack of a humid hide. I do however, applaud not using sand, that much is good.

Top notch selection of saltwater supplies and livestock, including clams and corals. They carry a decent amount of freshwater fish, only a couple of reptiles, a few birds, and unfortunately they do carry some dogs. Im not sure if the dogs are rescues or not, but if not, they need to stop that. The people there are very helpful and knowledgeable, so I give it five stars, but theyll go right down to one if they sell cats and dogs which are not rescues, I hate breeders.

We drove to this store, to find some fish for our pond. But it seemed like every tank has dead fish in them, there was absolutely no costumer service. We also seen dead fish on the floor.

It was amazing, I was able to get exactly what I wanted, plus so much more, and I was able to get lots of info on the care of animals, and it was so fun just being there. There was a ton of animals, ranging from dogs to Rays, I had an amazing experience, I would rate it 10/5 if I was able to.

Just got into the saltwater hobby and Berts has been a God send! They have always been super helpful and very knowledgeable. They have a great selection and prices are very competitive. They just moved into a new store that is going to be incredible when all the dust settles but even in the midst of all the stress and pressure of moving the staff has remained courteous and professional. Theres a guy there named Travis who has helped me the most often and that guy is awesome!!! Definitely recommend Berts Center!!!

I have bought so much here; food and dog products like ear mites meds, harnesses and more. I like the staff and the selection they offer but some of the food they offer is very expensive when compared with amazon, chewy, etc. It pays to shop around! I have a pack of dogs and they all have different needs and allergies so my pennies have to spent three or four times. Lol

I cannot say enough good about this place. They are extremely friendly and helpful! If a staff member doesnt know something that you ask they will find an employee that does! They have a great selection and the best prices. Huge shoutout to Travis for being so kind and helpful to me and my husband! We are first time tank owners and he took the time to explain starting up and answered all our question.

Just bought 4 fish. The store was very clean and smelled better then any pet store i have been in. I always saw 1-2 people taking care of the fish and the fish tank looked flawless. Great selection of other animals too.

Will not buy birds, fish, or any other kind of pet from any other pet store. The fish tanks are clean and the water clear. My birds have always been healthy and the staff informative and helpful.

The store is finally getting bigger!! Such a brilliant, homey store. The staff is EXTREMELY knowledgable when it comes to taking care of pets. Especially fish. I consider him to have more exotic pets than most other pet stores. He has such a large selection of saltwater fish, freshwater fish, reptiles, and other small animals. He is very open about receiving phone calls for advice as well. Overall, this is a great local shop to go to and one that many should support local businesses.

This is a great locally owned pet shop that has everything Ive ever needed for all of my pets. They carry a wide variety of exotic animals and fish, and have all of the supplies to care for them. I own two dogs, a guinea pig, a leopard gecko, a Siberian dwarf hamster, a red ear slider, a hedgehog, and pond koi, and I can get everything I need for any one of these animals there. Plus, the staff is good about asking if you need help, and seem knowledgeable about all of the animals they carry.

Have been in there 4 times to get filters for my pump and they never have the ones I need. I have asked them to order they say they will be in on Tuesday I go in and no filters. This has happened 4 times in a row. I try to buy local but when a customer asks for a specific product that you show you carry but never get it in that a little disheartening. It is easier to go online and order. I mean I was spending more money to get them locally than to buy online.

This place is the absolute best place. I am a new bearded dragon owner and I called them almost every day for help. The employee even took me to kroger to show me exactly what food to buy for me beardie. I NEVER go to another pet place and you wont either!

Very expensive. What I thought was going to be a cheap little birthday gift for my son turned into the most expensive fish tank ever. I would prob have been better off getting a 30 gal tank than a little 3.5 for one betta!

We have been there 2 or 3 times and the employees are not very helpful. It always feels like you are bothering them. They just point you in the direction of what you need help with instead of taking you to it.

Today was my second time at this store. It seems nothing has changed from my first visit. There was3 employees and not one recognized me or asked if I needed help with anything. The smell was so overwhelming that I had a hard time even being in the store.The dogs had a little bit of newspaper all torn up from the walking on it and slipping around. Can you not even give them proper material to walk on? The fish tanks are all nasty, the outsides streaked with dry water and filth. Items laying in the way where you walk. Thick dust everywhere! Items for sell were spread across tables like a flea market instead of on shelves. The floors were filthy.Where is management and how in the world are they allowing this to happen?I have visited probably 15 different pet stores in my life and this was by far the worst. They should be ashamed to even have their doors open. Get some employees who actually care because who ever is there now does not care CLEAN UP!

Its a shame this is the only store in our area that has the selection of pets that they do because besides that & their couple of friendly employees, this place is a dump.The animals cages and the overall cleanliness of the place is seriously lacking. I feel bad for the poor critters, especially the puppies when they have them. Go ahead and do yourself a favor and ADOPT at your local shelter instead of supporting whatever puppy mill they get their puppies from. Theyre kept in a small tank with shredded newspaper rolling in their own faces and urine at Berts.A couple of the staff are friendly & knowledgeable but Ive found most of the others are very unenthusiastic & unhelpful. The place has a lot of potential but it seems the staff or owners dont really care about customer nor animal care whatsoever. Sad.
