I have been here for a Day of the Dead festival, and to see The Magic Flute opera. Both events were wonderful, and organized.
Great theatre. Saw the nutcracker. Great show until fire alarm went off. We all had to wait out in the 25° weather until fire department let us back in.I would definitely go back to see another show. Theatre is beautiful!
Nice theater. As an usher, I was able to try the box seats on the right balcony as well as seats on level 1. Great viewing both places. Obviously, more comfort in the larger seats, but both were fine. Music level was great, lights beautifully done. I saw The Nutcracker.
Came here to see the Asheville conservatory ballet. Very talented dancers and the theater was very nice as well. The staff were friendly with directing me to the right seat and very kind. Will definitely return in the near future to another show.
Its a professional place... Wonderful!!!
The McGuire theater was warm and comfortable. Very intimate even. Only 100 seats or so. Great for a new artist. The main stage has a balcony and seats quite a few.
Cozy, intimate theater gives you a personal experience with the performers. This was my first time visiting. Row D seats were head&shoulders level wirh stage. Sound system was great. Personnel were friendly and helpful. Very old fashioned feel, but utterly charming.
Good seat in almost every spot. I like that I can hear my friends and the stage performance
Saw the showing of Reel Rock 14 here and it was one of the funnest experiences I had with the climbing community. Theater is so comfortable and staff are lovely. Bathrooms are gorgeous and spotless.
Excellent venue. Attended Shoshana Bean concert. Very good acoustics and comfortable seating
The theatre was fantastic! The entryway is under construction, but still easy to navigate through. Plenty of concessions and variety of shows offered. Our seats were phenomenal and we really enjoyed the show we saw there. Nice size theatre, big enough, but still intimate enough that you do feel connected to the performer. Would definitely recommend a show there to anyone who lives in or is visiting the Asheville area!
Well its in the heart of downtown Asheville and I got to experience seeing the nutcracker with my three year old granddaughter. And the facility is beautiful and theres probably not a bad seat in the house.
First time visit to the theatre and it is great. Small and intimate, easy access in and out, and the Swannanoa Solstice show was outstanding tonight.
A magnificent venue for performing arts in Asheville. Top shelf performances n staff!
Great place to see stuff. I have lived here 28 years but somehow Ive only been in this theater two times.
DW is always a pleasure. One of the best things about Asheville.
Very relaxing venue. Great place to see a play.
Have seen many shows here and this is my favorite venue in Asheville. From Ballet to Music each show has been fantastic and I love the intimate atmosphere.
I attended MarcusAndersons Jazz & Coffee concert. Awesome. Cozy spot
We saw a piano concert here. The theater was great! The very last seat in the front rows had very limited visibility. The pianists were incredibly talented and entertaining!
Some construction going on, but nothing too distracting. What a wonderful experience and date night! Will definitely visit again.
Beautiful theater. On the smaller side, cozier.
Good acoustics and we found parking in the lot nextt door. Great choice for dance recitals.
A fantastic theatre. Not a bad seat in the house. Show selection is amazing!
Im here for the Ashville Comedy Festival every August, the facility and staff are top notch!
Beautiful theater, great show... even though I bought an obstructed view seat...there was no obstruction!
Great place for music. Good sound.
The staff was beyond helpful and it was a really wonderful and clean facility.
A super lovely theatre. Definitely recommend some of their xmas events like the Asheville Dance Academys nutcracker. A little difficult to manage wheelchair access cause the doors are a bit narrow, but they do have areas for handicapped seating which is nice!
Lovely small theater, pleasant staff, nice experience.
Just a fabulous place to be for Dance, Theater, Music or Comedy!
Great theater very intimate Marcus Andersons jazz was great
Nice intimate theater.
Went to see Marcus Anderson, he was phenomenal. The theater needs to bring him back!!!
We were there for a special event...the Shift from Fear to Love...and what a beautiful theater! We so enjoyed being there.
The best venue in Asheville.
Amazing venue and after the current construction is complete, Im sure it will be even better.
Beautiful inside. Wonderful acoustics
My daughter and I visited for the first time and really enjoyed it! The staff was extremely friendly & accommodating, we look forward to many more plays here!
I enjoyed a performance by an Irish folk music ensemble called Dervish. Lead singer Cathy Jordan gave the story behind every song and was quite humorous. Very good musicians playing various instruments and Jordans beautiful voice made for a nice evening of music.
Live unfiltered entertainment an antidote for the times we live in. Real people performing live with unconditioned sound.Ive been back here several times for classical music. The most recent visit with my gal was for a Lee Ann Womack concert that was outstanding. Met Star who works at the theater. What a knowledgeable and lovely person.
Perfect place for an intimate concert. Friendly staff
We love coming to shows here! The staff are just beyond nice, thoughtful, and accommodating!
No matter what seat you set in it was a good seat...only dislike is no food serve and snack were expensive
Seats are very comfy, the staff are nice, AND they have very good shows.
Such a charming room and not a bad seat in the house! The acoustics are perfect
Saw Ballet Hispanico...fantastic! A great theatre. No bad seats.
What a beautiful venue. The summer dance series is always great! This is an essential fiber in the Asheville fabric.
Great room. Great music. Nicely staffed and organized.
Great place to watch showed and practice for shows
The architecture of the building is beautiful. It is clean and very well maintained. The staff were excellent, very professional.
Perfect intimate venue for a concert! Loved it!
Beautiful intimate venue located in downtown Asheville on Biltmore Ave. Walking distance from Aloft Hotel and many local restaurants. Lots of diverse and fun shows. Highly recommend catching any shows the Wortham!
Classy place with some rockin in the house.
Outstanding Acapella Show With all Local Talent. A worthwhile investment to receive a Evening of Great Entertainment
Nice, small theatre. Folks were very helpful and courteous.
I had a great time. Nice theater.
We saw The Muses of Terpiscorp and loved it. Impressive young talent and choreography. The theatre is very nice and planning renovation and expansion. Cant wait!
I dont think there is a bad seat in this house. Its a relatively small venue and the seat spacing and floor slope are such that you generally dont get views obstructed by other peoples heads.
Diana Wortham, you guys are amazing. Thank you for the support and allowing us to come and preform in your Theater. Thank you. ( Also, sorry for the one star rating, that was a bad phone thing).
Menopause the Musical was absolutely spectacular hilarious. Funniest play I have ever seen.
Its clean and has nice seating. Just beware that the first row is not the best. The second is. The first makes it hard to see onstage.
Had a wonderful evening. Menopause was marvelous and the cast superb!!
A Great theater and asset to the community.
We go here regularly to watch excellent shows
Amazing play! I wish the entrance to the theatre was more visible though. I nearly walked right by it.
Tasha Cobbs and her team was a blessing for the city of Asheville.
Great venue. Comfortable seats, quality sound. Ive seen dance performances, plays, concerts, and roundtable discussions.
Intimate space.
Shawn Colvin sounded great in this venue. The size is ideal for intimate performances. The only negative that I noticed would be if our seats had been behind the mixing board it would have been distracting. The staff was friendly.
Great venue! Amazing acts!
One of the best shows at a beautiful theater. I will be back
Very well kept and great accoustics.
Went here for a comedy show. Nice facility but difficult parking.
Went tonite to see and be greatly entertained by the troupe and the music was beyond fantastik. 5 STARS FROM ME!
First time hanging out in Asheville, NC. Went to go see black violin group. It was very nice. Not your usual violin concert but basically hip hop and classical combined. The locals are very nice, definitely will plan for another Asheville trip! The building is currently undergoing renovation and will house 3 different theaters, cant wait to see the finished product it is going to be great!
We attended the 15th annual Swannanoa Solstice Concert. It was great fun and our seats were excellent. There isnt a bad seat anywhere in the theater.
Always a wonderful place to catch any act, even the balcony seats make you feel youre right up front.
Not a bad seat in the house of this lovely theater. The Swannanoa Solstice was great as always. A perfect start to the holidays.
If I could give it zero stars I would. I purchased tickets for the nutcracker in December. It snowed about 8 inches and the roads were covered with ice on the day of the performance. We were obviously unable to attend and the show was still out on. I called and emailed the theater about rain check tickets, a refund or perhaps another showing and NO ONE called me back or responded to my emails or inquiries. I had never been to this theater at that time and will now never go. I am very disappointed and upset that I paid $65.00 for tickets to a show that should’ve been postponed, cancelled or refunded. At the very least someone should’ve contacted me. Thanks for nothing Diana Wortham Theater.
Beautiful theatre with excellent facilities. Wonderful acoustics and very comfortable surroundings.
Dorrance Dance was terrific and a lot of fun!
I love this place Ive been performing here for 10 years in the nutcracker and its like a second home!
Wonderful venue, excellent stage and technical facilities for local performing arts companies, kind and professional staff, and really outstanding shows!
Just saw Aimme Mann last night. Friendly staff. She and her band were playing through the theatres own sound system. Sound was muddy and did not do band justice. I think it was turned up too loud and may have been distorting.
Simple and basic interior. Not much style but clean as and centrally located. Cash only. :0
Overall experience was great
Its a nice clean atmosphere and have great shows
Great place, parking is a bit hard
Staff was amazing! Show was amazing! Will definitely go back!
Lovely cosy theatre great acoustics
Great intimate theatre, variety of talented performances and a staple in our entertainment community.
Dont sit in the balcony. Acoustics are bad with a flutter echo. And view is bad because of high railing.
I love the intimate quality of this theater...and every seat has a great view!
I was in Asheville to celebrate my retirement; a girls weekend with daughter-in-law and 13 year old granddaughter. The others had in mind a weekend of spa treatments, shopping, and perhaps a movie. When I found two wonderful productions were at DWT, I was delighted. We attended both, with last tickets in the house (or close to it) for both. We had a marvelous time. The extremely convenient and affordable parking next door made it easy, and we combined theater with excellent dinners both evenings. Ticket process was simple. Though we had obstructed views at the first play (Murder on the Nile), the box office was very clear about that and the discount was appropriate. Theater was attractive, immaculately clean, comfortable, and acoustically quite good. Ushers, helpful and nice. Especially when we had obstructed view.... The usher found three vacated seats for us to move to after intermission. We found the Agatha Christie a little hard to keep up with due to the repertory companys ambitious production (three actors playing 10 characters), but we still enjoyed it. For the second production, DWT had arranged for a wonderful, free pre-show discussion, led by a Shakespeare expert. That was tremendously enriching! Helped my granddaughter jump right into the plot. Wonderful experience.
