WOW!! Just loved Silent Sky produced by the Immediate Theatre Project at NC Stage. The full house on a Wednesday was no surprise, because of the buzz surrounding this fantastic production. The show is well cast and well directed. Rebecca Morgan is perfect as Henrietta Leavitt and beautifully tells the story of an important woman in history whose discoveries were integral to much of what we know about the expansiveness of our universe. What surprised me most was how funny and entertaining the show is as well! What didnt surprise me was the well-deserved standing ovation at the end of the show! Highly recommend this theatre and this production.

Unfortunately the show I saw, Silent Sky was poorly directed* and the female protagonist made all the wrong choices for her character*. It deserves one star but the other characters were well played and I can imagine this show being worth watching with different acting choices being made by the leading lady and a competent director. But with a lackluster script, terrible direction, and an anannoyingly intitled leading lady, this show just isnt worth it.*Whenever there were two or more people on stage, at least one back was to the audience. There was no cheating at all! Many crosses across the stage lacked motive and made no sense. The director should have guided the leading lady in making better choices to avoid coming off as annoying, intitled, and stupid.*Instead of being a headstrong, independent go getter, the leading lady played her role almost like the valley girl gone Harvard character, Elle Woods, only less interesting and 100x more annoying. So sad. Could have been a good play. As I said before the rest of the cast was fine but hard to keep the audience engaged when direction is so inherently bad.
