Wow! Great experience. We have been looking at a new truck and this was a great chance to put Land Rover to the test. Its inside of the Biltmore grounds, so a bit expensive. One hour is $275 + Biltmore entry fee.We were late, but they waited for us! Then the fun began. You get to pick your truck and head off road to a trail, back in the woods. Our teacher was great. We learned about the car and features. We took our truck up a 19° incline and it was wild! There we drove through mud and down a 12° hill. Car handled it great.
We absolutely LOVED our Land Rover experience. It was so incredible to see what our favorite car brand is capable off road and on the trail. Greg Nicholas was absolutely superb and we truly felt in amazing hands with him. Highly recommended - but not for the faint of heart! Loved the new Defender 2020. Thank you Greg!
By far one of the most fun experiences we have ever had. My wife and i bought a 2018 land rover and wanted to try these trails out. They dont let you take your own car unless its owner days but that was fine with us. We drove one of there cars and we are extremely impressed by the capability. We had a great guide who is very smart and we look forward to seeing him again. Cant wait to come back again!
This Land Rover experience office is so awesome. The staff, instructors the service... superior. We enjoy coming to Asheville and the Biltmore often, and we make it a point to always go off-roading with these guys. A must experience when you travel to Biltmore or Asheville.
What an amazing experience. As a new owner of an LR4 I wanted to learn it’s capabilities. Aaron.O was tasked and by offering expert advice gained from years of off-roading, step by step instructions and guidance I discovered the true capabilities of my family ‘go anywhere’ SUV. I had a great day and really enjoyed Aaron’s input and direction. He’s a very good instructor and good at getting the most out of each persons talents within a controlled environment. Anyone who owns a Land Rover should visit one of the LR Experience Centres to truly understand this road going vehicles capabilities!Thank you Aaron!!
As an owner of a newly acquired LR4, I wanted to truly understand its off roading capabilities. Aaron.O was tasked with my tuition and offered excellent tuition and guidance. After an introductory brief we set off for our full day excursion. To understand what our family SUV is truly capable of was amazing. Aaron was excellent in his direction, showing patience, yet at the same time pushing your limits to find where youre lacking. This direction has given me a great understanding of the vehicles capabilities and limits as well as my own. Thank you Aaron!
On Dec. 23rd 2018 our family of four including myself, husband both age 35, our son age 14 and daughter age ten took part in the adventure which is the heritage land rover tour at biltmore. We arrived in the morning and were greeted by the front office staff who were very welcoming. We then met Ben who would be our instructor for the day. For the morning we were in a 1997 D90 no.4 off the line that year. To say we put the defender through its paces was an understatement. As an owner of an International scout and a vintage k5 i was not expecting the rover to be nearly as able as it was. A big part of that though was the instruction from Ben. With his instruction we were safely able to get through obstacles i never would have tried before. Upon returning home i plan to be way more adventerous with our vechicles. After the morning session we had a delicious lunch which Ben joined us for which was great because we were able to talk more freely than when traversing obstacles and terrors. He answered many technical questions from my husband and countless personal questions from my daughter who is nosy to the least. In the afternoon we took out a diesel range rover which honestly i viewed as a carpool vehicle more than an off roader. Well after spending 4 hours behind the wheel i am convinced that the range rover is the way better option when compared to the vintage defender. Traveling over many of the same obstacles seemed like cheating it was so easy. Even with street tires at 40psi the rover walked through the obstacles with ease. I was positive we would rip the front bumper off but the vehicle had options for everything and proved itself on the trails. Overall it was a great day that days later our kids are still talking about. It was a privelage to drive a piece of Land Rover history and a pleasure to have Ben spend the day with our family. My only recommendation would be to add an option so that when you are staying on the property for multiple days you could have access to a rover with special designated parking areas so when visiting Biltmore attractions you would not need the use of the shuttle and could park right up front.
