Went there on a school field trip, so much fun
Visited for the Black Holes show. It was awesome! The young woman hosting the show was knowledgeable, which thoroughly entertained me. Love learning new things! The show was great. Parking in Maverick Garage was beyond easy (used the MobileNow app to make it even easier!). Loved everything about this place!
Completely different experience for valentines day. It was entertaining and educational.
Went today to the Spacepark 360 show. It was unprofessional and one of the most nauseating experiences I’ve ever had. I love rollercoasters and I couldn’t stomach this. Me, my cousins, and my mom (ages 5-45) kept our eyes closed the whole time before deciding to leave early. The intro to the show was also pretty lame and I usually love shows dealing with space. Honestly found it to be kind of a ripoff.
Went to the We Are Astronomers show and it was amazing! My kids, my husband, and I all loved it! I will definitely be returning the next time were in town to see another one.
Very well put together planetarium with knowledgable staff and interesting shows
Awesome! What an opportunity for my kids?
A good place if you are interested in stars, solar system etc.The show was great and the curator funny and knowledgeable.
I watched the Big Bird One sky show. It is definitely a great idea to take your kids/toddlers/babies. The show is very cute. It is very interactive for children and parents. Dont worry about your child having a melt down because almost everyones child had at least one. The speaker seemed to be understanding and did a good job during his presentation. Parking is confusing. I parked at the meter, however it only allowed me to pay for one hour at a time. There is parking in the Maverick Parking garage that you can pay when your done. The prices arent terrible. It is worth the neat experience.
The show they showcase here is amazing and very educational. The kids at my job loved it so much that they wanna come here again :) 5/5
It was worth the $6 ticket. It was very informative and I loved when we got to see ALL the stars and constellations. It was magical. As far as the Pink Floyd show—I would’ve thought there’d be better visuals or even a nice sound system. It was meh and I didn’t write home about it. Update the visuals at least. I got a little vertigo at times but this is purely a personal problem. Tip: if you have tickets to multiple shows—STAY PUT. Otherwise, you’ll have to stand in a long line even though you were just in there. Tip: show up on time. Every time someone shows up they turn on the red lights by the wall totally disrupting the mood. Not cool Zeus. Not cool. Parking garage meter sucks because you have to be careful to adjust the time while paying, otherwise you’re screwed.Overall, we had a nice time but it’s not everything I dreamed it would be.
Snoooozefest. They didnt talk about the constellations or asteroid belt. Nothing about the North Star or how to find it. Nothing about any normal constellations, star clusters, only old world constellations that no one sees. The video they put on was all about the Earth. Yawwwwn. What is this Earth Science? You want to marvel kids? Show them how to find stars, what position they may be at during the seasons, etc. This was a school field trip too. I had to fight staying awake. The roller coaster ride is to show off the domes nice capabilities. How about more info on stars and planets. And also, try not to criticize kids so much.
The planetarium is super awesome! I love it! I just wish there were more shows about studying the universe and our solar system. I want more education out of it.
Great place to visit with kids.
Space 360 was so boring! Save your time and money or catch another show
Great for student Field trips. Recommended.
This is one of those interesting places that only a few of the DFW locals know about.
Time I cant get back...1. Refund my $12.2. Buy a 4K projector, I know the university can afford it.3. Why a new projector? Entire showing of Pink Floyds The Wall was poor-illuminated and tainted by either peripheral lighting or (more likely) a burned-in image of the universitys main entrance (used as a wallpaper in between shows; consider using a looped video).4. Tonights host spoke WAY too fast and failed to project his voice into the microphone (most patrons first/only interaction/opinion of the university.).5. The early 90s called; they want their lame imagery back. If David Gilmour / Roger Waters were in attendance, a stream of British-accented cursing would have ensued. The poor quality of the low-res imagery was an insult to music that has helped define a generation.5. Clean (maybe replace) the carpet and seats; turn on a blacklight in there and the staining would look like a crime scene photo from the Manson murders.6. The stars I provided were earned for the music content, though not the sound system quality, the 90s also asked you return that as well; Im sure someone like Mackie Audio or QSC Audio would spot you an awe-inspiring sound system in exchange for plastering their marcom everywhere.
The show was great and the curator funny and knowledgeable. However, because I took small children who had to potty in the middle of the show, we were locked out of the remainder for safety.
The shows screened here are awesome
The kids and I enjoyed the show.
Now dont get wrong this place is good but the space park 360 was so boring things to make better space park 360 oculus rift or gear vr things space park 360 needs moving chairs
The building is just magnificent.
Worth the visit for the show. Not really much to see or do before or after so no need to show up too early.
Educational
