So happy I joined! State of the art facility and exceptionally clean. From spinning to tanning, this gym is awesome! The staff and the good vibe of this gym will keep me motivate. Great location as well.
From all the gyms I’ve ever been to so far is the best because they do pretty good job with keeping this place clean such as restrooms. I like the fact that it has jacuzzi and it’s at the mall which I personally think it’s cool and far more convenient for me. Also, there is a small theater, seems to be unique for a gym.However, the down side I have with this place is lack of diversity (mostly Asians) especially if you take Zumba or yoga classes. And they tend to be cliques and not willing to make you feel welcome when your the new member ( that’s been my personal experience). Other than that I like it there:)
It’s great to be back and they haven’t missed a step the new GM Christine and her staff are doing great!!!!!!!! Super clean a home gym can’t compare to Golds the best gym in the world, if you want results this is where you get them. If you want to get cut, pack on muscle and feel super this is the spot. Big thumbs up

This location was bad in management several months ago, it seems a little better I hope. Towels still very old and rough. I know this is a family owned business, think very small and narrow even they open up several new location. I am just wondering if this company has any foreign money involved........

Sketchy business practices and poor facility compared to other locations.Transferred to this gym from the Montclair location about 6 months ago. The facilities are not as nice and they have fewer equipment options, and less space for things like stretching or free lifting.I transferred to this location after moving, instead of the Pasadena location which is closer to me, because this one is in the same network and it wouldnt require me to sign another year contract. I also didnt know if Id be staying in Pasadena so I triple checked with the person who set me up here that Id be kept on month to month and could cancel when needed. Im now trying to cancel my membership since the lack of good equipment keeps me unmotivated to go. It turns out the employee who signed me up did put me on a new year long contract, despite me already being month to month at Montclair and telling him I needed to stay on that. They verbally read you the contract and have you sign a pad rather than the actual contract so I had no idea he was telling me something different than what I was signing.Ive been trying to get this worked up to cancel for about a month now, Ive gone in person twice and called multiple times and can never speak with a manager. The person I spoke with at the desk acknowledged that the employee who signed me up likely did it this way to get the sign up bonus because they work on commission. Now Im stuck paying out the last 6 months of my contract because they have sketchy business practices that allow for that. I know gyms like this have a history of this kind of thing but didnt realize the extent. Golds is franchised so theres absolutely no corporate office to contact for help either
I don’t believe I’ve seen a general manager so disrespectful to its employees. These people come here to work and help us, with our needs, not to receive unnecessary and unwanted comments. I believe if an employee is asking a general question the manager should not reply with attitude and sarcasm. They want an answer not unnecessary comments. Waste of time, especially if this is coming from the STORE MANAGER
Great gym. My recommendation is to get rid of the theatre cardio room and use that room for more free weights. The gym only has one free weight leg press machine.
Well i decided to try this gym out, not sure about it already. I’ve been waiting 25 minutes so far waiting on Ali? I dont know why i need to see him for a trial membership pass i got. We will see how it goes but its looking bad already. Bad customer service from jump so far. Ive had memberships at various other gyms and this is the worst! Normally it starts out hood and the bad slowly shows its face. This is crazy
The customer service desk had no manners . very weird vibe they have. They gotta learn better social skills and how to be friendly towards guests . the front desk girl not friendly at all .
A fun place to start your year right. They have complete sets of fitness equipments and clean rest room. Your membership ends in 1 year so be sure to make the most of the services. They give reward points every visits too!
Very rude staff, Dirty facility, they promise you something and when the time comes they just change there mind. Will definitely keep being a 24 hour fitness member way better gym!!
I was a member of here, actually I am still a member because they don’t cancel my membership. I requested to cancel it in August, but they still charge me every month. Manager Karim always told me the concellation would be completed, but never. I visited him to solve this problem five times, but it has not settled yet. And he doesn’t reply my email. I can’t understand and am very upset. What should I do to cancel my membership? Do you want me to give it up?
This gym used to be top notch! The price to get a membership here was also very expensive! Due to the extreme cost of membership, the gym was not as crowded and there were always machines available.Now that the cost for membership isnt as high, the gym is quite crowded and very lively!The amenities that were offered at this gym was also really nice as well. My favorite was the eucalyptus steam room! It was very nice to sit there after a workout. Unfortunately, they no longer have the eucalyptus steam room, now its just normal. Which is still nice, but that eucalyptus was really just amazing. It was a nice relaxing treat after working out! I cant talk about it enough! I mention it every time I get the chance to talk about it, its a shame that they no longer offer it...I enjoy the classes here, though it is difficult to snag a spot sometimes, so show up early! The staff is overall friendly, and its decent for a gym!The gym is clean overall, and the staff is seen in the restroom and gym floor cleaning all the time!Be on the lookout for those specials, and if you do join, say I referred you~
Mostly take the spinning classes at 9- 30 with Connie - shes a great teacher with great music and great attitude ! One big reason why I continue my membership
If I can give a zero star, I will. this gym is full with scam, they are really good to get your money, if you are loaded with money and dont care about it, then this is your place.When this place first opened in Arcadia mall they were offered free one month trial out. Unfortunately it was too far from my house at the time, I try to cancel it 1 week later after I signed up, like any gym out there, they had tons of excuses so I had to pay for that “free” month, alright, it was kind of my fault to sign up at first place.Last year August, my company bought me a membership in this golds gym as a benefit, then I met a really nice boxing coach there, I signed up his class and bought the personal training boxing class package which it was about $300+ per month pretty good deal at the time, everything was alright until I injured my lower back, my doctor told me I cant exercise for at least a year, I still have about $1,000 worth of class I havent even started it yet. so naturally I got the doctors notes to cancel my class and get my money back, it took them months to decide they are gonna give me money back, and then they refunded me $300+ to my credit card. They said the gold gym headquarters is going to send me a check with the rest of $600+ …. And now it’s June25, 2019. It’s already half a year later, I still haven’t got my check yet. I don’t really know what to do, every time I call they just tell me it is lost in the mail, and they will send me another one. I did talk to my coach, he told me he had already quit his job there and the reason he quit it’s a lot of bssss like this happened, and then I realized I’m not the only one.!!!DONT SIGN UP THIS GYM!!!!! If you really like this gym and you really want to workout there, make sure you don’t sign any contract with long commitment, cuz you won’t get your money back once you pay them.
Do not do business with this gym, they are terrible at communicating unexpected fees etc. I tried to cancel my membership today because of the unexpected fees, I was only keeping my membership active because the monthly dues were low, now they wont allow me to cancel until I pay the fees and the dues for the next month. I tried calling corporate and cant get a human being on the phone who can help me. I do not appreciate that they are holding me hostage with bogus fees beyond the normal dues just to cancel a membership at a gym I havent even gone to in at least six months. I will not be doing business with Golds at any point moving forward.
I have it on equipment its nice looking bt now all of the sudden i dont have a setting on my membership about the towels very frustating i dont afree with it so i give this issue a 0 star because if that and also the eqipment is not secure i do heavy weight and rhe whole machine moves with it very unsafe most of rhe machines are the same i would like for golds to fix this issues on this gym location
Ive been many times at this location, gym its clean and well maintained but service horrible. Theres a fat Hispanic lady at reception with a very rude attitude . Im sorry Pasadena but you have to improve your customer service.
I’ve been going to golds gym for a few years now. I have been a 24-hour fitness member prior to this at the Arcadia gym. I’ve been to Gold’s gym in Santa Ana and the coveted Downtown Los Angeles Location. This is the cleanest and most well-maintained gym I have been to out of the lot. Machines are always well maintained and the crew is quick to respond to issues. I saw a member photographic a rip in a seat and the seat was repaired within a week. The locker rooms are resort quality and are spotless in comparison to 24-hour fitness down the road. The receptionists have been friendly and membership sales staff has been very accommodating when making adjustments to my membership or when adding family members. The cardio cinema is one of my favorite features of the gym and something I missed when I relocated to DTLA Gold’s.I personally do not participate in any classes or group sessions so I cannot comment on that.Only cons are not the gyms fault. Of course the gym has some crowding issues during prime time, I thought this wouldn’t be as much of an issue given the price premium from 24-hour fitness. The location can make this gym a pain to get to during holidays and busy weekends for the mall. I personally don’t mind parking far and walking. I usually just park on Huntington and walk through the lot because I personally hate looking for parking.
The company I work for offers a discount on memberships for this gym. I joined & signed up for personal training. I had to cancel both in less than a month due to a great lack of professionalism from some of the staff. I was specifically dismayed by the comments of an employee named Johnny. He was extremely rude. I have since joined the UFC Gym in Rosemead and am much happier with my membership & personal training there.
Decent gym! The equipment is quite nice and the members here are considerate in re-racking their weights, which saves a lot of time for me.Its a small space, and compound that fact with LOTS of people after, this place becomes a hazard when its crowded.I highly recommend avoiding the 5pm-9pm window if you can. Its kinda dangerous during that time.

Worth the extra money, super clean, cleanest gym Ive been to and Ive been to several. Doesnt smell like a gym. I just wish they had their own private parking lot instead of sharing with the mall.
In general its a fantastic facility. Parking is mall parking so best times are before mall opens. Watching movies in Cardio Cinema is great though they need less violent content. More inspirational films or comedic.. Great equipment great locker rooms. Great sauna and steam. Nice jacuzzi but but either too foamy or chlorine strong most days. Workout areas are well equipped. Spacious. Climate is great. Class and spinning rooms are great. Staff for the most part rocks. Towel service is a lifesaver!

Marvelous experience, wonderfully clean and the machines are always operative. I go early in the morning and no matter how dreary I might be feeling the ladies at the front desk - Melody, Tricia, Chelsea and Michelle are always smiling, helpful and provide a warm greeting on the coldest mornings; as well as tolerate my teasing with good humor and respond in kind, which makes the experience thoroughly enjoyable. Cant praise their work ethic and attitude enough - its fun.
Great staff. Clean. Equipment always properly maintained. Weights always put away. And man th more reasons why I love training here.
This is the worst gym I have ever been to DO NOT SIGN UP here they literally robbed me of hundreds of dollars. I tried to cancel me and my boyfriends memberships they said it would be taken care of I did everything to close the memberships they did not cancel both of them was never contacted so I had no idea a year later collection calls me saying I owe over 600 dollars. Went in so they can have that removed then the manger literally tells us someone dropped the ball their staffed failed to cancel when they should have. Then he tells us he will contact their company and have this taken care of to call him in 2 days and he will assure me we will be approved since it was their fault. We called back then they said they can’t do anything it’s out of there hands and we have to pay for months we never even used up at the gym!!! If they ask you to resign and your current balance will be taken care of it’s a trick to steal your money !!!!!!! Hate this gym never again
The smallest Golds Gym (even smaller than West Covina). It should be called Golds Gym Express.The mirrors all face stationary machines....and none facing the cables. So that pretty much makes no sense.The locker room smells like feces. I think their plumbing is trashed.Never coming back.
They clean the Air conditioning duct scream when customers are working out during the day. We breath in all the macro-tiny dust!! After I complain about it they never made any change.And They continue vacuum the room and Cardio cinema while customers are working out !!! We all freath in the dust leaked out of the vacuum.Notified the managers many times, suggested them to use wet mop or do cleaning jobs at early open hour or before closing hour...still NO change! According to the employee, there are numerous same complaints, the managers just simply do not care about customers health! The dust can cause severe allergy reaction and infection to the respiratory system. When I asked the worker to stop, the worker simply replied,sorry my manager ask me do it, I have no choice. and ignore my request.I guess until one day the worker or customers file classic lawsuit this gym will make a change.
Beautiful gym aesthetically, however run by idiots. Dont ever give them your bank info....Total nightmare! Called to pay one month on my girlfriends account and ended up on a recurring billing cycle had to claim fraud and cancel card.....youve been warned. Manager is never in and wont return phone calls.
Great facilities. The locker rooms are clean and spacious. There are employees actively wandering around reracking weights and picking up towels. I rarely have a hard time finding the weights I need. It can get crowded around peak hours, but its nothing like the Zoo that is 24 Hour Fitness in Arcadia. I originally steered clear of Golds because of the fact that its located in the mall. That was a huge mistake. Going to this gym is totally worth navigating the gauntlet that is the Santa Anita mall parking lot.
This is the best gym I have ever been to. Everyone is very friendly and every morning Joseph would greet me . Its always clean and well kept . Definite one of the best golds gyms in LA

Love It. Love cardio cinema. Keep the Violence Content right where it is. Any more G rated and Ill fall asleep on the treadmill. But it is clean and plenty of space for working out. Not too crowded.
Jacuzzi, steam room, and towels thats it. others are just ok and still costly than my _ _ fitness, with a swimming pool.Jan 15 2018 update, I got membership for 19.99. Now theres something good.
Terrible Billing practices. Tried to cancel 2 times. Once in person. Once through ABC financials. I still get daily voice mail saying I need to update my credit card info. No. I have cancelled my membership. Why dont you guys come up with an honest business plan where if someone goes to gym, they pay you rather than trying to extort extra months of membership money for people who have made it clear they have cancelled. Contact me if u wanna correct this massive oversight on your part.

As I have mentioned in my other posts, I am a man with very little extra time on his hands. I am busy teaching, and I am raising two young boys, both under the age of two.With what little time I have, I typically enjoy spending with my family or catching up on my sleep or occasionally going to the gym. I feel that I am far too busy to be writing online reviews, yet I will make time to report theft, to report shoddy and malicious business practices.To give you some background, my wife lost my debit card and canceled it in the event that it fell into the wrong hands. I have been going to Gold’s for a little over a year, and I went in on May 7 to work out and asked to speak to someone about my bill as I received an auto call from Gold’s billing.At the desk, I was asked if I had received my new debit card to which I replied no, but that I could pay. I was waived in with an explanation to just bring it in the next time. No problem, no fuss. The way things ought to be.As I walked in on the evening of May 11, I had yet to receive my debit card from the bank, so I asked to speak to a representative about billing. The young woman at the front desk explained to me that my monthly fee had increased by ten dollars for failure to keep a current card on file and that I would be fined twenty dollars. I mentioned the scenario about being waived in and explained that I was there doing my part to pay my bill, not attempting to skirt it in any way.To this, I was told by the representative, Victoria, that there was “nothing she could do.” Nothing. I was told, “Fees are not reversed at Gold’s.” I asked to speak to a manager and was told that Casey[sp] would be in from 9-6PM, and that she was the only person that I could speak to at that time. I mentioned that I was livid. She understood, but I was told that I signed a contract and that those were the rules. I again explain that earlier I had come into pay on time, but to no avail. I have impeccable credit; nevertheless, Victoria lectured me on the duties of contractual obligations.I have paid this fee once before, even though I felt it was awful. Same deal. My card was being reissued by my bank and the debit number changed. While I was upset then, I dismissed it as a one-time deal and worked out, irked but not irate, nowhere near angry enough to write this long complaint. Twice though? Once is absolutely ridiculous. Twice is unacceptable.Bear in mind, that in this world, where we spend our money is our primary vote. Remember this when continuing to support this horrid, little cesspool.As for me, I will complete my contractual obligations and then look elsewhere, rather than support a business that meets its bottom line by nickel-and-diming honest, hardworking Americans.I would encourage you, that if you are looking for a gym, look elsewhere. This is an awful, little place. The fact that people attend here is either because no one has experienced this yet, or because it is a testament to the weak-willed, spineless nature to which we are declining as a collective whole.

I keep writing reviews for all these gyms that I dont frequent regularly and yet I havent even written one for my own gym! :P But I really enjoyed my experience working out at Golds Gym. I took advantage of the one day pass, and I was so surprised at how easy it was to get in (as compared to the incredible hassle that LA Fitness puts up). I walked in, told them I wanted to try out the gym for one day, filled out a form and handed my ID card over and was let in! There was no push from the salespeople about whether or not I wanted a membership or whether or not I would join - the man who helped me just let me know that if I did want to join, to find him and let him know. Such a breeze compared to LA Fitness.And the machines are so nice and new. I came on a Saturday afternoon, (although it was the July 4th weekend) and it was pretty empty! Theres a cycling room, a room for the classes, boxing ring, cardio machines, weights, spa, wet and dry sauna room (for the respective genders), and my favorite - the cinema room! They play random movies on a big screen with great audio and all kinds of cardio in the room. You do have to make sure you watch your step while running because it is dark, but - if they play the right movie when you come in, you can spend hours in that room!The locker rooms are so nice compared to LA and 24 Hour Fitness (and so far has been the cleanest one Ive yet to see at a gym) with hand-held hair dryers, bathing suit dryer, tissues. I didnt see anybody cleaning the locker rooms but I did see people using the locker room area - are these people just so much neater than the ones at LA Fitness? They even offer towel service and equipment services (I heard a man asking for a pair of goggles!) - theres two tanning booths located outside of their waiting area/clothes area that seems like anybody can enter and get a tan.Honestly, this gym has almost everything going for me - the rates arent too bad either. The only reason I would be hesitant about joining Golds Gym in Arcadia is because its located at the mall. Parking is already incredibly hectic if you going during the weekends or late night on weekdays. Of course, if you go during the early morning or late at night, you could avoid this. I do wish it would be open 24 hours!tl;dr: PROS: A very great gym with great cardio machines, clean locker rooms, nice and friendly workers, cinema area. Also a kids area to drop off kids! CONS: Not open 24 hours though, no swimming pool, and parking can be hectic.
