This is a great park that is a little hidden. Great spot to take your lunch. Qfanatic is right around the corner. Good walking paths and a beautiful green space where you can watch the Rum river and the Mississippi river meet.Easy to get to walking or biking from Anoka. Good spot for pokemon go or as a pretty backdrop for photography.
One of my favorite places to go to unwind after a long day. Theres area to set right by the river and you can watch the sunset.
Nice park planted between two water ways, clean and has a nice pavilion
I set this up so of course it gets 5 stars from me!!!
Open park with lots of water edges to sit by, fish, read, etc. Little playground as well with port a potties. Lots of grass as well for lawn games, lounging in the sun, etc. As well as lots of shady spots for hot sunny days.
Great little out of the way park
Great fishing spots from shore.
First time to this park. Absolutely lovely stroll in a beautiful afternoon. Sun shining through the massive Quaking Aspens. You can tell they are Aspens because of the way that they are. Must have been a Pokemon Go event happening because there were a lot of people there on their phones! Definitely worth a stop to enjoy nature!
Great for pokestops
Beautiful and great walking path! Great place to have a gathering. 2 events were going on but the way it was set up you hardly noticed. Nice meeting area!
This is a small park with just the bare necessities, but really does offer one of the most wonderful views of the missippi intersecting with the rum river. Its also off the beaten path so to speak, so during off peak times its regularly deserted. Definitely worth a look if youre in the area.
We spent a beautiful spring day out enjoying the weather at this hidden gem of a park. It feels like youre driving to private property until you reach the parks parking lot A short hike takes you to the confluence of the Rum and Mississippi rivers. Given the very harsh winter, it was no surprise that the park was flooded in places but that didnt prevent our enjoyment. There is a beautiful shelter area with a drinking fountain,, plenty of spots to fish, tall, sturdy trees from which to hang hammocks, a wide open field for playing sports or relaxing in the sun, and a great playground for the kids to play on. Its on the smaller side but the available amenities definitely make up for that. The one downside was the lack of garbage cans but I think that had more to do with the timing given that it was only mid April and the park was still so flooded in places.
Nice park to bring the kids and fish
Very pretty little park
Nice place for a picnic during this pandemic
Beautiful park, but the walking paths have not been cleared of the snow from 4-5 days ago. City budget? Not normally done? Beautiful on the rivers at sunrise. Good place for morning prayers.
Great hunting grounds for off the wall pokemon so get out there and catch them all.
Very pretty view
A nice walk...there was a wedding being set up there today...so sweet.
Nice park
Nice park on the river with plenty of open space. Public restrooms and a swing set for the kids.
Nice place to walk and watch the river
Beautiful place!
We love the view and secluded nature of this suburban forest.
Peaceful place to enjoy the outdoors while viewing the Rum and Mississippi Rivers. Playground, field to play catch/frisbee, and there are also grills for bbqs. Theres also a dock for your boat if you choose to access the park by water.
Peaceful Canopy..very soothing place.
8 Pokéstops in a nice easy loop, along two rivers.
Beautiful place to walk around.
Nice quiet location to go to on while you are on break. Good playground set with trails. There is a dock landing for boats to tie up. They also have restrooms there as well.
Love coming here with the dog. She likes walking around and theres multiple places for her and people to wade in the water. They have party rooms and a playground for the kiddos too!
Was fun. Had the tide splash us
Great picnic areas parks & walking trails
This is a great little park. Parking lot for easy parking, open until 11pm, a playground, multiple lookouts, great fishing, etc. Ive only seen paved pathways though, no trails, and Im not sure if they allow swimming; although, I swam in both rivers while there. Small, but nice!
Eight historical markers can be seen at this park, as well as the State Champion Green Ash Heritage Tree (shown at right). Educational signs along the footpath explain both the environmental interpretation and the historical importance of the park. per National Park Service Website.
Beautiful, unique park year round, with great Native American History. The walking path has many historical markers that provide excellent information on different aspects of the peninsula, amd immediate area. Lots of shade from huge, mature trees and the grass is well-kept. Plenty of room to fish the Rum or Mississippi Rivers, or both at the same time! The Mississipi has really nice dock area for boats and for anglers to fish from. There are bathrooms, a sheltered picnic area and a huge play set for kids, too. We love it, and our kids love it. One of my favorite parks in the county.
Very beautiful little park with a lot of pokestops and a good walking path for pers. Its kind of hard to get to sometimes though because you have to get off the busy road and then drive all the way past the businesses and housing. Very odd area~
This is a really great community park for anoka people or Champlin people. My favorite thing about this park is the views. It has awesome views of the run and Mississippi River. This park is also great for doing activities because there a huge area of flat land in the middle of this park. This place is also good for a walk Cause there’s multiple trail systems around the park. This park also has a playground for your kids. Another thing I like about the park is there’s a huge building for hosting events and parties. Overall this is an awesome park for activities and hosting events but you can also come to this park for just good old fun.
I try 2 walk there every day. I love this park. There r bathrooms, fishing, picnic tables, grills. N a lot of history
Beautiful views all the way.
Great fishing
No dock for your boat or shore to pull up on. Instead, covered with riprap like downtown st. Paul.
Just chillineating take-out lunch there
Very secluded.
Great little park surrounded by the rivers. Good for pokemon too.
Lots of space for the kids to run.
Nice and quiet.
Very friendly and calm. Great fishing from the rum river or the mississippi river.
Beautiful and peaceful. Liked the signs explaining the history.
One of the most natural feeling parks in Anoka County. Great place for a walk or run (kinda short path for a run, but not bad if you dont mind running in circles) and even better for meditation and pokemon go.
Its a good place to go to spend time.
Meeting point of the Rum and Mississippi Rivers. Lovely park to relax in, fish, walk, play, and even pokemon pokestops!
Like
Quiet, tranquility and surrounded by friendly neighbors.
Next to group home. Park by playground to keep eyes on your vehicle.
Great park hidden away from the city
Nice and quite location for picnic and family events.
I liked the view but its not very big. Not a whole lot of space.
Awesome place to just sit and relax
Very quiet and a beautiful view of the river!
Nice playground for kids and very clean park
