It was great! Love the Soldiers, they were so courteous and helpful. It was a beautiful day for families to enjoy Our Military. Our High School band (Oxford High School) played Great. There were all types of booths and kids as well as adults loved exploring the different military vehicles. It was a Great Day!

I am grateful to the people who are currently serving in any branch of the armed services. The Alabama Army National Guard Reserves at Fort McClellan are awesome people. I work for Coop DeVille in Neighboring Jacksonville Alabama and delivered food there on multiple occasions in the last few days. The Guards at the Galloway Gate where I entered the base were very thorough in performing their duties to protect the people on the base. I salute them all for serving our country faithfully and willingly without any doubt in their minds

Going through the front gate of fort McClellan was a good experience. The guards were very helpful and they made sure that my ID was correct and up-to-date. The security guards were very polite and helpful.

Love the new appearance with the new entrance to McClellen. Finally have overhead cover for the hard working dedicated guards on duty there during inclement weather.

Drive the speed limit or Barb (aka the ticket fairy) will get you. RIP wallet if so.

Ft. Mcclellan was the training center for chemical and military police MOSs and the command center for chemical warfare. There are things to see like the POW graveyard and lots of nice views, but beware this land was once dubbed the most toxic place on earth by the EPA who shut Ft. Mcclellan down in 1999. Soldiers add their families still suffer from the effects of exposure to the chemicals that poisoned the soil and water.
