This is a great place to visit. The collection is somewhat eclectic with a lot of interesting items. Check out their website for specific details. Military history buffs will especially enjoy it, theres also a great American West section as well as other exhibits.
This was an amazing experience, especially for veterans, and military enthusiasts. They have a ton of guns from WW1 and WW2. Their was even silverware that belonged to hitler, along with other military themes items. I had a wonderful time going through here. The staff was great, and it’s something that I would bring more people to next time that I visit.
Great museum. Only bad thing I can say is they do not have much of a gift shop.Other than that great exhibit and reasonable prices
Very interesting and educational place.
Easily overlooked must a must visit. Huge, historic gun collection and thats not all!
This was so interestingArtifacts dating from 3500 BC through World War II. All kinds of guns from allies & enemies. Hitlers tea set and Napoleans ivory combs & brushes. There is something for everybody and some hands on stuff for kids. Avid gun or military history lovers this is your place. When you pay for the Berman it also gives you access to the Natural History. The kids will love the exhibits of the dinosaurs & bones and the animals. They will love the cave display with the water. They can go through it and have a hands on experience of what a cave is like. Adults will like this museum also. I was amazed with the crystal. This was my favorite! Has a out door nature park and a small park in front with two playgrounds. Over all a great little treasure in Aniston.
Loved the WW1 And 2 part.
Interesting museum, but becomes even more so when you look into the history of the main contributors and see their travels all over the world manifested in one building. Well worth the visit!

Very interesting place to visit!
Wonderful museum exhibits
Wonderful staff, very educational and interesting to see what people used to kill each other a long time ago
Unbelievable artifacts for a small town . Well organized clean professional. Most of all fun. My son and I will forever be linked and remember this place love it .
Great history
I enjoyed visiting this Museum. It has incredible artifacts, and was such a joy to see.I highly recommend it,especially to anyone who loves History.
This is an outstanding little history museum with a fascinating back story and some truly unique artifacts. Ancient, medieval and modern history are well represented, and the museum tends to lean toward Asian, European, and American exhibits. This place is located next to a natural history museum, and a combo ticket can be purchased for both. Special programs are offered at both facilities from time to time.
Excellent exhibits! Very friendly and helpful staff as soon as we walked in the door!
I had an awesome day with my husband and my daughter. We had a family time.
I definitely enjoyed the place, ik its not an easy task but they should consider updating their display signs since some of them have fallen off their spot on the wall. Besides that it was quite educational, quite depressing too but they cant help that. World war area definitely isnt thrilling to check out, but I still learned more than I did at school. My only other critique is maybe try not to make so many displays for kids. Some of them were alright like the Asian one where they could try on a kimono robe, but the world war one where they open a sub door and its a reflection of them just felt a lil disturbing. Like what was the educational value of that? To remind them if war breaks out it could be them on front lines? Idk, I realize they want to try to appeal to children but maybe rethink how youre approaching it currently
This museum is full of wonderful treasures from history including a lot of Napoleons personal things .
Awesome treasure in Anniston just off the 21/431 intersection. Part of a trio of museums / gardens. Rotating and permanent exhibits. Very friendly and professional staff. Admissions and memberships very reasonable. Nice gift shop. Check out their web site for more info.
An eclectic collection of war memorabilia, old west statues, and ancient Asian artifacts. Quite a nice surprise to find in Anniston, AL.
As a world history buff this museum was right up my alley. Going there with my history buff son was priceless. They have a firearms collection that was just amazing. Most infantry weapons from WWI and WWII. There were also some really odd pieces too, from homemade French Resistance weapons, to really creative pieces from the 1500s right up to a 5 shot belt buckle gun that a German officer wore during WWII. Well worth the $8.
Great small museum with fascinating and little known artifacts, particularly about war and Asian vases and art works. Well worth the visit!
My son acted as a tour guide. It was amazing to learn so much about animals.
Lordhamercy! this place is great.please take time and go.pay close attention to the plaques by the items.they have stuff in here that was owned by famous peoples.napaleon, himler,an so on.many special one of a kind pieces here.lots of ww1 and ww2 firearms and stuff.anti tank guns are there.dont miss out.old west, cival war era stuff .its all good.we had to go back the next day to re-look at it all.take the family.
Amazing history in both museums. A must see experience if youre traveling through.
Excellent collection of items ranging back to the 15th century. One item was a Rembrandt self drawing. Napoleon dressing table. Hitlers tea service. Couple it with a visit to the natural history museum is a great inexpensive day trip.
Great place to go if you have never been or have not been in a long time.
Its a good place to go to if you like history
Do yourself a favor and visit this museum. They have so many great pieces of history to look and learn about. Make sure you go early. There is a ton to look at and you need plenty of time to see it all. Amazing
Loved this museum. A real hidden treasure. You need to advertise this place so more people will come.
Lots of other things besides guns, but there are certainly alot of guns. There is also art and a section on Buddhism currently.
Super awesome collection! The WW2 stuff was my favorite. I dont think I have ever seen so many old guns in one place! Would almost call it a gun museum.
We had a great speaker at our orchid meeting and also got an orchid to replant and take home with us.
One of the hidden jewels of the area. Lucky enough for our air b&b to give us a free pass that led us to drop off some money. Super glad we found it
Great experience. Great staff. GREAT fieldtrip
Took a business trip to this place once. Very nice world history museum thats only brand new. Its filled with a lot of historical information and items. Hope to see more from this museum whenever I come back.
Very interesting. Loved seeing everything.
Great place for family fun
Attened a class field trip with my oldest. I loved the museum, but didnt get to spend too much time looking around. The kids had questions to answer and it was close to closing time when we arrived. The museum had so many interesting artifacts that I could have spend at least 4 hours there.
I was amazed to find some of the artifacts here in the middle of Alabama. This is a great museum and a must for military historians. Fair admission prices, clean, easy to find
Good experience! Great place to bring the kids.
World class museum with world class artifacts. David Ford is a wonderful asset. Very knowledgable. Huge need for audio tours.
What a fantastic time.
I love the museum . It was really good
Its very good
Nice little museum
This place is wonderful! My granddaughters loved it and so did I.The exhibits are the best. I want to go back. One can never learn too much.
What a unique treasure right in our own backyard. It is an incredible collection of the worlds most interesting artifacts. This is a must see museum for all. I did not even know if its existence and Ive been in Alabama for 32 years. Everyone needs to know about this place.
Friendly staff. A lot of guns in museum. I would recommend the other one if your just picking one but its cool to do both.
Very Nice Museum for Veterans
Great place to take your family!
My son loves all things military and loved this museum. The man at the front was very knowledgeable!
Great place. The adults seemed to enjoy it more than the kids.
Always enjoy visiting
I would have never known that there was such a fine collection of artifacts this close to my home. From the 6th Century B.C. through the mid 20th Century, these artifacts and exhibits were a pleasure to view. I would have given a five star rating, But, there were some lights out over exhibits as well as dead lady bugs and wasps in some of the display cases. Please take better care of this history.
A beautiful art and history mueseum. Just wish the events offered to the public were advertised a bit better.
Love the museums and history inside its amazing
Fascinating place. Lots of very interesting things to look at and enjoy.
This museum is one of the great hidden treasures in the world, in my opinion. From Napoleons china to Hitlers tea set.If you enjoy history, plan on visiting longer than you may anticipate. Most of the pieces in this museum are Smithsonian Institution quality. If they auctioned off the contents of this place it would bring hundreds of millions of dollars, maybe more.Wear comfortable shoes, because this place will exceed your expectations, guaranteed.Jeff
You can remove this again if you want, the museum is great but there is a so called security guard that needs to be fired. He threaned to put a 8 year old in jail for something she didnt even know she was doing wrong its good i wasnt there i would have been the one to go to jail. We want ever go back again
Very nice place to visit; a very rich collection of weapons
A great little place for the family. The staff was super friendly.
This place has pieces you can not see anywhere else in the world. A truly amazing place to see, in a small town you would never expect to have such a collection.
Great place especially if u like guns and weapons
Great museum with lots of good exhibits ranging from the wild west to the ancient east of Asia.
Took our grandkids and they loved it
Great museum of war history.
For such a small town, this museum was absolutely incredible. Ill never forget this place.
Lots of interesting displays
A real treasure of military memorabilia, weapons, clothing and stunning pictures/photographs!
Really cool place. Must see for weapon enthusiasts.
Large and unique collection of military history with an interesting ancient Chinese exhibit section as well
Awesome look at history from the private collection of a WWII spy.
If youre in the Anniston area and have a couple hours to kill....this is the perfect place to do it.
Loved the history at the museum. Will go back.
I had heard a lot of stories about this infamous museum and the mystery and gossip surrounding the Bermans and their collection, so I had high expectations upon arriving. I was impressed by the large number of objects on display and the unique, rare weapons, but was disturbed and disgusted to see live and dead insects in so many of the display cases. I saw dead lady bugs and wasps in about 70% of the cases and even watched a lady bug crawl across and unprotected WWI era manuscript. I saw many bug eaten didactics and labels that were peeling or poorly printed on cheap copy paper. I also saw multiple spelling errors on the wall text. There are hundreds of objects and artifacts in this museum that obviously are not being cared for as they should be, which is a real shame, since this is such a unique, unusual, impressive collection. If the glass had been clean, the labels professionally made, no peeling tape inside the display cases, and no dead insects sitting on the objects, I would give this museum 4 stars. As it is, the Berman Museum really needs to step up its game or the objects wont be in good condition for much longer.
Fascinating collection of artifacts from around the world. Makes a great field trip for high school students or history clubs.
This museum was a fantastic place to visit.
Excellent place!
Love coming to the Berman Museum! Always nice!
Interesting collection of armament from all time periods and different artworks depicting American west. Recommend getting a combo ticket for both here and the Natural History museum.
Loved this place
My cousin held her wedding there.
Awesome weapons and personal artifacts
Amazing collection of firearms and swords
Nope didnt like
While they do have a few interactive spots for kids, my little ones didnt care for this museum, but its excellent for teens and up.
You may not think a place of this class is in Anniston. This is a MUST SEE.
Intetesting collection of weapons, Bronze statues,Asian pottery.
Amazing collection.
I never get tired of coming here.
One of, if not the Best gun and weapon museum in the world. Selections range from some of the first guns ever made all the way up through world war 2.
Loved it
Large display of world war one and world War two firearms, fatigues, etc. I must visit for war history enthusiasts.
Friendly staff!
