The dog park here is quite small. I go to Swift Run Dog Park very often so I thought this dog park would be similar. But its a lot smaller and my dog was bored. However, the playground and pavilion are very near me and my husband and daughter enjoyed fishing at the pond. Overall, very nice park.

Super clean, great big field great for picnics, sports, etc., Dog park, playground, and covered pavilion. Plus pretty walking paths! Not much more you could ask for in a park!

Great park for nature! Less crowded than gallop, but very nice for families and dog walking. Nice small play ground, and a trail that goes around a catch-n release fishing pond.

The park was peaceful and scenic. I saw a dog park, a bike riding trail, and kids playing basketball and practicing soccer. Very well maintained and restrooms were clean.

This park is right next to the freeway so its not super quiet but it is nice and clean. Basics like restrooms and playground equipment. There is a nice paved path that goes around a pond with floating dock. Grounds seem well kept. Its trail system is a bit lacking. Very few markers and no distance listings, but its not that big. Good for a quick mountain bike ride but stay off dirt trails if the ground is wet at all. Lots of mud

Playground seems to be for older children and leaves something to be desired. But the pond and path are gorgeous and filled with wildlife!

This park was not handicap accessible for shady areas. I was attempting a picnic with family and my aunt in a wheel chair, but unfortunately, we had to sit in the cement parking lot.

This is a really great space to take your dog to run around and play. There are almost always other people here with their dogs when I show up, and my pup gets a real workout in. There are communal toys like balls, frisbees, and tug toys, and people bring jugs of water for anyone to use while there.

This park is clean, had a nice pavilion for group gatherings, and lots of parking. While its not huge its very pretty and a nice place to spend some time outdoors. There is a small rock climbing wall, various climb on toys for the kids, and great spaces for playing bocce or cornhole.

Great for a quick stop with the pup but doesnt have a ton of room. However, the dogs and owners that go there are mostly all regulars, so your pup can make a lot of long term friends! Theres also usually water jugs and spare bags for clean up.

Clean, nice dog park. Very friendly people and dogs. We love it & so do our dogs. Water, poop bags & sometimes toys are provided by friendly dog owners. Also, you cant get down to the pond. Its too steep & super mucky. The only disappointment for our experience.

I find it amazing to think that in relatively little real estate, there is so much to do at this park! They have soccer fields, a play structure, a dog run, a basketball court, a walking trail, and a small tiny biking trail. It even has to pokestops and a Pokemon gym if you play Pokemon go.I regularly go here to exercise, and I find myself feeling a little bit jealous of the people who have dogs playing in the park, or kids on the playground equipment. I almost forgot that there is also a pavilion. Im not sure how you would rent The Pavilion, but I have definitely seen small parties take place there.

Lo
Review №42

The soccer fields are absolutely horrible. They would be better off just removing all the grass and letting us play on dirt. You cannot make a pass on the grass because the grass is incredibly long and ankle braces are mandatory because the field has deep holes and crevices all over the place. I do not recommend Olson Park if you want to play soccer.

I came here to scout out an easy trail for a beginner to ride. Olson Park has good mountian bike trails, well marked in some places but sometimes the trail is not defined and the difficulty is inconsistent through all loops. Blue loop has three very difficult spots, especially for a loop that I believe is meant for beginners, but two of those can be avoided by staying on the paved path (counter clockwise) until the blue loop entrance after the bridge. After that the only difficult part is the corner on a cliff (overlooking the lake) that children/beginners might need to walk.Beautiful overlooks on all trails going around the lake. The yellow loop seems brand new (lake side). I think it will get more defined when it is ridden more. Right now the trail is just packed down grass in most spots with branches. From my first ride, the wooded trails are not marked too well (i.e. cant tell which trail is green/orange. Im sure Ill figure it out next time I go) I enjoyed the ride though.Do not try to ride the trail that is at the dock. It might be a trail in the summer? But currently it becomes unrideably overgrown about 200 feet in then you have to walk up the hill. The trail seems to continue but there is no way anyone is riding through the vegetation as-is.

I liked it better when it was a airfield it was stupid to make a place for a lot of people to fly into a park and in the process take our freedoms away ... now wilmington is trying to lay claim to it i dont think so way out of there jurisdiction its a county park not a city park by law it cant be a city park....
