Absolutely beautiful here. Ive only been here a couple of times but each experience was wonderful and I definitely recommend this place to go for swimming, bbqs, disc golf, long walks, etc.... There are a few shelter buildings as well as public restrooms. Plenty of parking spaces and the beach is big enough to where you dont have to feel so cramped and back to back with strangers. Its absolutely family friendly although I do not remember if you can bring your pets or not? Definitely getting 5 stars from me!

Its a beautiful lakefront area, but sadly is temporary closed due to to covid

Grew up coming to this beach as a kid but as I got older I stopped visiting. The area went down hill for years but now I guess the new owners decided to clean the place up and now its a great area to have birthday parties or just a fun day at the beach! Hope to revisit very soon and take my kids this summer!

Very nice park, very clean. Lots of places to grill and chill with the family. Nice playground area as well as a nice beach and swimming area. Great views of the lake with plenty of places to go fishing too!

Short disc golf course, play ground & swings. Covered pavillion with picnic tables & an extra patio also with picnic tables. Picnic tables around the park, some along the lake. Nice size pier to walk out on & watch the sunset.Quiet, peaceful, yet romantic place to visit.

Nice sandy beach area. Playground and picnic tables. They have bathrooms but I have never used them so I cant vouch on the cleanliness. We are going to have a birthday party there pretty soon.

Good place to fish from the docks, also good for dropping a canoe or kayak in the water without all the boat ramp traffic. They have tables and grills to cookout and the swimming area is nice

Google says that it is open. But the gate says closed. Its Memorial day weekend and they closed?

Darwin Wright Park or Anderson Beach is an awesome place to come have a picnic, swim, fish, explore nature and let the kids play on the playground. Its a bummer that they started closing during the winter months. Not certain why but be assured they will re-open in the spring of 2019 so you can once again be able to enjoy this magnificent park. They have grills, picnic tables, restrooms, covered shelters and a large building on site that you can rent if you have any type of birthdays, large social events or gatherings. This place is definately worth checking out if you ever need some sand between your toes and a trip to the coast is out of the question.

The water is murky. Theres no shortage of sticks, rocks, and trash. The ground around the picnic tables is covered in leaves and surrounded by weeds and brush. Maintenance needs to do a better job of keeping this park clean and safe for both the wildlife and people. In addition, people were ignoring the No Swimming signs and swimming in areas they shouldnt have. Areas that are only meant for water craft drivers. Someone could get hurt, or worse, killed. No one is there to enforce the rules of the park 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

It was beautiful, but pretty crowded. That was fine except a lot of people were obviously drinking in excess, obnoxiously swearing like crazy and littering like crazy. The amount of trash and cigarette butts was nuts, both in and out of the lake. The bathrooms were also super gross, dark, and creepy as hell.

Get there early! If you wait it gets very busy. Nice place to sun and relax.

Free and a decent place for a day out

I have always heard Anderson Beach was a good spot for boating, fishing, swimming, and cooking out or for barbecues. On my first visit to the park, I must say I totally agree. Although it was hotter than you know what outside and inside the shelter, I had a good time at a family gathering. The grounds were clean, and we had a perfect view of the lake.

The course is there but not the easiest to follow. You do have some great views. This is a seasonal park to let everyone know. We drove past the entrance and parex on the pull off and walked through the woods anx still played

This park is somewhat nice but it smells terrible. I get its next to the lake but it definitely was not a good smell. Its close to town but sorta remote also, and there were alot of cops patrolling the area which to me tells me alot has been going on. The trash cans were overflowing as well. Pulled up around them on the ground also. It was somewhat disappointing.

The trash really needs to be picked up (I filled a 20 gal bag and 4 grocery bags in 15 mins) or more enforcement (What happened to park rangers)?) needs to be in place to prevent it.All stupid people mentioning the smell:The smell is fish, they live in lakes.Fish poop, their poop stinks.This is called NATURE.It happenswhen you go outside.If we fish more and buy less market fish the smell will become less overwhelming because we are catching our fish wild (as God intended [Fish and loaves story?) people will be healthier.My kids had a blast dancing with a VERY friendly butterfly and my wife and dog played in the shallows, it was a good time a like many have said a great place to experience nature amd enjoy a picnic. Saw a few people hitting it big fishing off the peninsula so I plan to come back and throw a line.

Beautiful place perfect for the family.

It has a great park and has grills if you dont have your own. Also, I wouldnt recommend fishing off the coast because there are rarely any fish, but Id recommend fishing with a boat in this lake.

Nice little park to relax. Somewhat disturbing to see dangerous sharp objects stemming from broken foundations on walking grounds. Heads-up maintenance !

Had a great day, would visit again and recommend to other families for events. The lake was just relaxing.

Playground equipment for the children. Lake beach. We walked small kids in shallow. Swimming area in lake roped off. Fishing allowed with walk out deck, or any bank. Bathrooms, plenty of picnic tables. Yard golf (frisbee chains) throughout park. Descent get away. One pavilion area.

We always enjoy bringing our kids here. They love swimming area.
