A lot of construction going on downtown to revitalize our town! New parking garage and hotel going up. Alot of great restaurants and shops are open.
We were visiting the area, and decided to check out the downtown. Very cute and quaint, with some cool bars and restaurants. Definitely a little run down, but shows that there are cool people and businesses restoring it. Definitely worth a visit, well be back next time to see how much has changed.
Cool history about this .. Growing up here I guess not many new fokes would know.
Awesome little shops and eateries on downtown Maun Street
Downtown is definitely coming up.
Love my church across street from this structure. However lots of inconvenience due to roads closed and you have to figure out how to get around and ive lived here years. Also downtown parking for handicapped very scant. Only one curbside parking and single business put their sign on there only for their restaurant. Called restaurant where i ordered takeout told me to stay at that spot and theyd bring order to me. Thank you j peters
Its in front of the main courthouse downtown. Its a good place to rest in the shade or sun if you have business there. Ive lived here forever a d remember statues and buildings from when I a small child. Good memories.
Down town Anderson is striving to revitalize. New chef driven foods. New amphetamine park activities. Multi dwelling loft living quarters and hotel spaces. Impressive.
Got mugged and assaulted in daylight while sitting outside trying to enjoy my dinner with people all around... be careful of your surroundings as anywhere... dont carry a purse...
This area is trying so hard to improve itself, yet it seems to be strangled by the rule of the old hats. Many buildings have potential in this area, but nothing is really being done with them. And, at this rate the guy that owns JPeters and the Bleckley Inn will own the majority of the downtown city blocks.
Used to go shopping with my grandma on the square 47 years ago. Then the stores disappeared. Glad to see that the square and downtown has revived.
Downtown Revitalization Is Workn Well !!
I love this place. The chicken salad is great
Anderson is growing...good way to spend a Saturday
Downtown is beginning to really come alive.
Beautiful homes in the area. Unfortunately its mixed with some pretty run down places with some very unsavory looking people lurking around. Several local homes and businesses have barred up windows. I witnessed a man urinate in the parking lot of a local mechanic shop in broad daylight while my family drove by a week ago. Sad to say the area is going down hill. But a lot of the historic homes are being taken care of. They are still quite beautiful to see in passing.
This is a nice place to shop or dine. There is a lot of traffic and mostly only 2 hour parking on any street. Theres some nice art and a farmers market at times that is nice. This place have been cleaned up a lot but after dark its still a questionable place. Its a great place to play pokemon go as it offers a lot for that game.
I love visiting downtown, me and my kids love reading about the history and its a nice place to walk around.
Lots to do, plenty of old buildings and local/chain eatery’s. Music downtown in Carolina wren park on Thursday’s during the summer. Great place to relax after work with friends or family
Starting to come along but it is no Greenville! Some nice restaurants.
Anderson is a great town filled with great food and exciting sites to see !!
Very historic and dear to my ️
Nice downtown getting better every year.
Good looking and well maintained downtown.
I like looking at the black men standing looking up at the street lights. First black men who vented street lights.
Anderson is working on revitalizing the downtown area with some early success. There are new restaurants and some new businesses. Still, there is a long way to go. It is important, though, to support downtown by patronizing local businesses.
Nice to look at, but dont be around this area from sunset to dawn, and be aware of your surroundings when the sun is up. Dangerous, poor area. Be careful if you visit. Numbers keep you safe.
Great places to eat
Old town appeal with upscale feel. Combines small town historical places with growing art community and fine dining experiences. So proud of my little town. Smaller and less crowded than Greenville.
Nice to areas downtown for a stroll..Wren Park is nice especially the block parties!
Great view of historical statues and benches to take a rest.
Lots of places to eat with a enjoyable walk in the historic surroundings!
This is the historic area, but remember this is a small town, so dont expect tons of monuments or plaques. With that said this towns history and story is interesting for the turn of the century period. Renovations have happened the past few years and continues to be revitalized.
Small Town, with big ambition.
Great restaurant choices and shopping. Everything from antiques to ice cream.
Downtown Andersons community can be a lot of fun.
Garbage in the streets, bums, creeps, and drunks infest the area. The statues everywhere are DISGUSTINGLY ugly. I would never walk around here alone. People dont pick up after there pets here either. I will say there are some great shops here, and some good food too.
For the most part there are some nice polite people in town. And the night life is starting to come alive and actually be pretty good. I really like it now.
I love all the little shops
Its downtown Anderson. Pretty basic.
Much improved from a decade ago. Plenty of eateries, bars, and small shops to waste a few hours. Quaint and pleasant.

Great place to just unwind!!
Clean street and lovely atmosphere.
Its getting alot better
Very interesting and old-fashioned looking but the roads are awful!!! The roads look okay until you drive on them! Its worse than trying to dodge potholes because the roads look nice but are so bad!!!
Its near where I live . So it has to have a 5 star rating.. lol
Love Anderson night life is awesome

This area has improved alot in the recent years. It could use a few more attractions.
