Great change of scenery. We went on a gorgeous sunny day with lots of cloudless blue skies. With a little imagination, it was as if we were back in Northern California, like Monterey or Carmel? Lol..we had such a great time and look forward to returning before the snow or freezing weather arrives. The fall colors are beginning to show, making the view more lovely. The air is cooler yet warm enough as long as the sun is shining, as it was for us. Its family friendly and dogs are welcome too. Just make sure to pick up after your animal to keep everything as nice for others. Our 10 lb chiweenie loved it as much as we did. Can get a nice little workout running up and down the sand dunes. Otherwise, its a perfect spot to admire the inlet, ocean and mountain views. Its also a good reminder of how fortunate we are to live in such a wonderful state.

Beautiful spot with views of the inlet and mountains. Jumping off the dunes is a great passtime. Local tip: old race cars are at the bottom of the hill towards the inlet from an old racetrack in Kincaid. Cool to go explore

Give this sandy place a go when its windy in town. Its like being on another planet. Really windy.

Go on a sunny day, you are near the ocean in Alaska. Dress appropriately, you have been warned. Other than that, its kind of fun to play in the sand in Alaska (its not dried silt here). Walk around, dig a little, climb a cottonwood tree. A little something for everyone.

Great place for biking, hiking, running, taking the dogs out, great views with easy access (no handicap) and plenty of wildlife.

Sick spot to jump off the dunes or hangout. Motorcross area nearby if your into that sorta thing. jumping off point for the Bluff Trail, a popular dog walking and mountain biking trail leading down to the beach.

Awesome flowtrack for biking. Toilet bowl is a particular favorite! Watch out for moose and bear though.

Everybody knows. Its just a lil crowded. Also careful of wildlife
