I love climbing OMalley Peak. Its not for those who are easily intimidated: when climbing up from the Ballfield it looks like the trail goes vertical! But its not as bad as it looks, as long as youre in decent shape. And, as with any peak on the front range, you get amazing views from the top. A perfect day hike for someone looking for a bit of adventure, or to impress an out of towner. Plus I like how OMalley is easy to point out from Anchorage, so its easy to show other people where you went (Its the really pointy peak to the left of Flattop).
