I was very impressed with this convention center, and Im from Las Vegas. Very well done and I just loved the heated escalator handrails. I felt great!

Excellent building for an event or convention.The Denaina Civic and Convention Center (Denaina Center) is located in the Downtown Anchorage, so youll most likely need to park in a garage. There are many restaurants in the area, so get a bite to eat and cheap drink then head inside.If the event or convention is on the first floor remember restrooms are also on the second floor if you can get to them. The views from outside are amazing and you should try to go all the way up to the top floor to view the Downtown area.The sound here is ok, but when they have events in multiple rooms Im impressed I dont hear anything from the other rooms.

The worst experience. We had a military ball held here and it was nothing short of pathetic. The staff was very very rude, the food was cold and poorly put together. Seemed like they threw some cold carrots on a plate and called it a meal. Wouldn’t let us leave to go downstairs or we couldn’t get back in, so they gave us an uncovered patio outside and didn’t even offer umbrella tables. Had to stand in the rain if you wanted some fresh air. I highly do not recommend this place. No respect for anyone.

We had a conference here a while ago. It was nice. After a week conference we stayed another week exploring Alaska. The weather was very nice, unusually warm for Alaska: around 25-30 degrees C.

We selected the Denaina Center as the venue for our wedding in early July and had a modest party of about 200. Everything the venue provided was outstanding and their in-house catering and waitstaff come highly, highly recommended. The recommended plated dish: smoked gouda chicken.

This is a great location for all your special and corporate events.
