Great time! We went on Sunday with our two 6 year olds, watched the play & puppet show. Both our kids loved everything about this place. We met family who have a 4 and 2 year old, also loved it . Train ride was fun for kids. Highly recommend it. Kids loved it so much we returned the next day to do it again.
The Tiki Room is amazing for families. It is perfect for bringing your children. You can relax and enjoy a calming show. There are birds, songs, and cool water effects (you don’t get wet, but the show includes water) This is a perfect place to relax and chill after going on multiple rides!
Always loved the tiki room. My dad especially loves it. It has a place in the hearts of my family and in my own. The pineapple drinks sold outside are fantastic.
The Tiki Room used to make lil Jacob scared. Its fun now. The pinapple whip is out of this world.
The Enchanted Tiki Room is one of my familys favourite attractions in Disneyland! Its upbeat and lively and the whole experience lightens the heart. You will remember the song for the rest of your life... and thats not a bad thing! When youre visiting the park, the Tiki Room is an essential entertainment show to see with the entire family.
This has been my favorite resting spot i always go here when I pass it
A great kitschy experience - one of the older ones at Disney. The audio animatronics were the first of their kind at the time and while now may seem dated, is still a fun and funny ten minutes. It’s also a good chance to have a seat for a bit indoors to escape either the cold or heat
This is hands down my all time favorite attraction at Disneyland!! It’s been my favorite since I was three and couldn’t go on many rides. Now, I am absolutely still in love with Jose, Michael, Pierre, Fritz, and all the other magical birds that sing words. It’s a great place to stop and have a rest while walking through the park, especially if you have younger kids. But the best part of all is the DOLE WHIP! My personal favorite Disneyland food, a soft-serve-like pineapple treat now comes in raspberry and orange flavors. (Fun fact: you can ask for bacon bits on your Dole Whip!) It resides in the Tropical Hideaway behind the Tiki Room. Also in the Tropical Hideaway resides fan-favorite bird Rosita. She’s a reference to one of the lines in the Tiki Room when, after listing of the names of the female birds, (who, by the way, are Collete, Suzette, Mimi, Gigi, Fifi, and Josephine) Jose says, “I wonder what happened to Rosita.” It’s a fun little tribute to the missing bird of the Tiki Room. Most people overlook the Tiki Room, and some don’t even know it’s there. So, my advice would be to take your time from the birds so you’ll all know the words, and hop on in to Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room.P. S. DON’T FORGET THE DOLE WHIP!
One of the last older park attractions that has survived so many changes of Disneyland. Sure ....the animatronics are dated and new technology could replace a lot of it, but the Tiki room has always had a bit of mystic lore surrounding the South Pacific, even though the main show birds ( Macaws and Cockatoos ) are from other tropical areas of the World. This makes little if any difference to most guests like myself. Where else can you see the Birdies sing and the Flowers croon except in the Enchanted Tiki Room?
Great, classic bar. I distinctively recall seeing this place as a child 30 years ago. Love the tiki cups, but come on 40+ for a cup, with a overly sweet rum headache ?
Great show. Mynard was the cast member at the beginning and he did an amazing job telling us the rules. He made it interesting and entertaining. He was really good. Bravo.
The Enchanted tiki room is the best place from my childhood that i remember. Its great! I hope it never changes. Like what happen to most rides. I really mean that..
I love the enchanted garden outside with all the polynesian mythical deities that come to life and tell their stories.
This is an animatronic stage show with birds. Very entertaining. Have to look up but not around. Youll figure out everyine is seeing the same thing around the room. Plus, probably one of the best washroom in all the park is right beside the doors to the place.
Cute way to get out of the heat for a bit
A true Walt Disney CLASSIC! The Enchanted Tiki Room comes alive and encourages your inner child to be released. Perfect for the little ones who are exhausted from the heat and want to relax. Their interior is air conditioned and the exterior is mostly shaded.
I thought this was a little bit lame until I saw a young woman who obviously had autism singing every work and having a great time. I realized that I was the lame one. Taught me a really great lesson that even though Im a big dude, adulting and working all the time... sometimes its great to just let go and be a kid.Appreciate the moment.
I just love the old throwback rides. This is actually more of a show than a ride but it’s great. This show features Jose and his three feathered friends along with a cast of birds, tikis and flowers. They’re all powered by old-style animatronics.
Such a great place to experience Walts genius, the music and the atmosphere are just amazing. Fun for the whole family.
Always a good time seeing these talented birds
Raise your hands Yelpers, if youve been coming here since you were a kid! According to Wikipedia (and Walt Disney himself) The Enchanted Tiki Room was meant to be a pseudo-Polynesian themed musical animatronic show.... On a hot, sunny So Cal day with your relatives/friends, this is an air-conditioned spot which is dark and cool inside. The show is about 15 minutes long - plenty of time to enjoy your Dole Whip and lower your body temperature!Fun facts:*Its only air-conditioned due to the electronics involved when it opened in 1963!*It was originally meant to be a restaurant!*The fountain in the center was built to be a coffee bar and it still has storage space underneath!*There was once major controversy over the German-accented Macaw! This place is a Disney tradition!
A Walt Disney classic .It still holds up today with the great voices and music.Visually, it gets me every time .My neck may hurt afterwards. You gotta look up the whole time. But for what it is, once a year- Love it.
I love the Tikis, I loved them the very first time I went a long time ago, before Pirates was built! They were the most magical thing I had ever seen. And they are one of the few things that Walt Disneys touch is there. Most of the soundtrack was written for the birdies and the flowers and some of the music isnt. It is beautiful and a nice place to rest either before or after a Dole Whip. The tikis speak to me, all the dreams I had of the South Pacific and when I am travelling up Main Street and I can see the spire of the Tiki building I know I am almost in the best place on earth.
If you have read Disneys Biography and enjoy history, you MUST check out the Tiki Room. The attraction opened in 1963 and was the first to feature Audio-Animatronics, a patented Disney technology. All animation was done before mainstream computers, etc. As we know from history, Walt Disney was fascinated with the idea of animated flowers (we see them on the Alice ride too) so the Tiki Room was his imagination unleashed. So fun!!! Also, there is a fabulous new restaurant behind the Tiki Room that sells 3 flavors of Dole Whip and Bao buns so dont forget to stop there afterward!
The tiki room is awesome. We never go to Disneyland without stopping by to get our fill of singing birds, flowers, and tikis. Maynard is our favorite cast member, and it always makes our day when hes working. Love the new handicap ramps into and out of the attraction. Dont forget to stop by the new expanded patio area four new flavors of Dole Whip and a possible sighting of the elusive Rosita.
I came here in the summer and it was a nice little show to enter to escape the summer heat. It had lots of humour and the family enjoyed it. There are clean and hidden washrooms right beside the entrance that you could use and the not so hidden extra Dole line was better than waiting 20 minutes for Ice Cream.
This is one of the many somewhat “hidden” gems in Disneyland. Not only does it have the delicious dole sorbet snack stand in front of it, but you get to see one of Disneyland’s historic entertainment spots!!Take a break between the hustle and bustle, enjoy a place to sit in some air conditioning, and “smell the flowers...” and birds.
My favorite attraction! (And boy is it tough to choose ).
Beautiful show and the songs are incredibly magical! Would highly recommend as it feels like a little break from the rush of the park.
7E2-505: Great to relax and listen to some music with little kids. Probably, one of the least costly attraction for Disney to run. It is still very good when you have kids in your group or folks who like a little sing along and dancing.
The Tiki room is still one of the family favorites. Really fun when the crowd is interactive and singing with the show.
Its cute and pretty simple. Great option if you need A/C and some shade in the middle of the day. You can bring the dole whip inside as well.
Sadly it was still closed when we visited but the dole whips are delicious and are a much needed snack for those hot days! I would recommend coming here even now to get ahold of these delicious treats!
I LOVE THE DOLE WHIP!!!!! Best place in the park!!
I always loved this one. One of my favorites. Not a ride and dont care. Feel good leaving its always a stop going around the park a few times.
A highlight attraction at Disneyland that will appeal to all ages. Go early to check out the pre-show and definately bring a Dole Whip inside.
This is a fun, air-conditioned show inside a small building. Its a great place to take a break from the crowds and cool down on a sunny day. The famous Dole treats are outside, so make sure you grab one. Once inside, take a seat. There arent any bad seats!Pro tip - it can get a little dark inside, and at times a bit loud, so small kids (4 and under) might find a few spots of the show a bit scary.
Enjoy the great show and the aircon on a hot day. A timeless show that had been entertaining guests for many years.
I love this spot! Vacaville resident and Spike Jones member, the Late Great A. Purvis Purv Pullen aka Doctor Horatio Q. Birdbath did all the bird sounds of in the Enchanted Tiki Room! Besides working for Disney he also worked at the Nut Tree Toy Store in Vacaville making kids laugh at his famous Invisible Dog Roscoe on a leash!
Its hard not to like the Enchanted Tiki Room... then again its pretty easy to not like it at the same time. Its a weird mix of nostalgia, imagination, songs, and hidden racism. The best part about it is getting a Dole Whip Float and enjoying the A/C! Disneyland has taken out a lot of the attractions that are indoor shows that serve no purpose other than getting out of the heat. Tiki Room is great for kids, adults, kids who act like adults, and everybody in between.
I love going to the Enchanted Tiki Room when it’s a hot day. Nothing better than sitting in a nice cool room enjoying some music!
A classic Walt Disney attraction showcasing the earliest of audio animatronics. A fun catchy show that you can catch anytime. Best of all, its a great way to beat the heat with an air conditioned room and a tasty Dole Whip in hand!**dole whip sold separately. but really, you should just get one anyways
One of the most iconic stops in Disneyland and a lasting testament to Walts passion for animatronics. The Enchanted Tiki Room is a good place to sit down, relax and enjoy a show. While you wait, enjoy the show outside and maybe a Dole Whip.Pro tip: especially if you are with kids you can ask the Master of Ceremonies if you can wake the birds to start the show!
A classic attraction from the early days of the park. Its a fun show and gives a chance to relax inside a building. The show actually starts a bit early in the waiting area, where the tiki gods introduce themselves to you. Its also an opportunity to get some pineapple dole whip. :)
There is never a wait for this show, and plenty of seating. But if you would like to enjoy an adorable little pre-show, arrive early. Before the doors open the outdoors come alive with the story of the Hawaiian gods and their creation. Also, there is a separate line for the Dole Whip station inside the waiting area!
Great place to take a break and escape from the afternoon heat while enjoying a bit of nostalgia. The condensed show moves along at a good pace and is fun for young ones, although older kids and teens may be anxious to get back to the more thrilling rides.
We love The Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room. As we walked around Disneyland we never missed a chance to go inside if a show was about to start. We watched the show at least once on every day that we were in the park. The flowers and the birds and the music. This is some classic Disney magic and our favourite thing in the whole park. We are also amazed by how the animatronic show is coordinated and all comes together. The show runs about every fifteen minutes and never fails to make us feel like kids again.Until we return to California, we are wondering how we could build a Tiki Room in our own home.
One of the great back to the 50s experiences at Disneyland. And the Dole Whips are amazing! The classic song in the Tiki Room has lasted centuries and everyone can sing along and have fun while watching the birds perform using animatronics.
Well as a Disney fan, Ive never understand this attraction. It has a great architecture and design and know with the amazing picture of Moana it could use an neccesary upgrade. For a Caribbean girl - birds singing along to a song is not fun at all. Use Moana to your advantage and upgrade this attraction to a wonderful sing along to her powerful song.
This is one of my favorite things at Disneyland. Get a Dole Whip at the stand out front, rest your feet and enjoy the AC. Cant beat the Sherman brothers songs and some of the original animatronics made for Disneyland.
Our son loved the beats and danced to the amazing tunes played - make sure you sit in first row to have leg room for your kid to shake a leg !!!
Its Disneyland, folks. And a classic attraction at that. Thanks Uncle Walt!
I dont understand why this is getting such low reviews. The Tiki Room is a great Disney, fun, sing-a-long classic. Not to mention the Pineapple Whip is one of the most incredible things I have ever tasted!
One of my favorite attractions in the park! I know all the words to all the songs and Im not afraid to sing along. You just cant help yourself. Oddly enough, as kid my favorite part was the pre-show outside the room. I would run around trying to figure which tiki was talking before they showed off their special skill.
Great on a hot day. The room is super air conditioned and you can enjoy your dole whip during the show. Please take your trash with you.
Delicious pineapple float with creamy ice cream. A must have on a hot Disneyland day.
Grab a dole whip and enjoy sitting amongst really hyper robotic birds! The show is a little long, but if you have a kiddo its a lot more exciting!
Still has the shine and racial stereotyping of the early 60s. But all in good fun!
There is usually not a wait for this show, make sure to check the show times if you want to see it, because if you miss the start of the show then you will have to come back. Its a great place to sit and rest in between rides. You will always have a blast in the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room
Dont get me singing. The most original remaining attraction from when Walt Disney first built Disneyland. Originally conceived to be a restaurant but who wants to eat under a bunch of singing birds?
Fun, cute show! Definitely go for the Dole Whips!!! Can hardly ever find them anywhere else.
Love the show its a must do when I go I love to sing along to the songs and its so memorable and it never gets old
Dole whip and fake birds have never been better. Love this place and it is always so much fun. The only downside is that you will leave singing the Tiki Tiki Tikiroom song for the next several hours.
Iconic Disney! Get out of the heat, enjoy the air conditioning, and a Pineapple Dole Whip.
Classic attraction and a nice place to cool off for a few minutes when its off. Love the preshow
This shows how far Disney has come from. The enchanted tiki room is incredible for the time and now. The animatronics are very good, although some of the birds of paradise flowers clack when they open and close... If they do at all. We always stop in here at the end of the day.
Classic place to go to! Its held up well over time. Also have awesome Dole Whip Floats
Classic ride. Its a must see if youve never been, but also on a hot day when you are tired. Grab yourself a pineapple whip and enjoy the show.
The Dole Whip is amazing and the Tiki Room isnt spectacular, but its a nice place to relax and watch a good show while you enjoy your pineapple ice cream.
Classic attraction! Minimal wait times and you can enjoy your dole whip inside!
Nice place to cool off in the summer. Try the dole pineapple ice cream, its really good.
One of the best shows in the park with lots of memorable songs and fun. Get a Dole Whip on your way in from the kiosk from the Tiki Room side.
Best attraction to go to escape the heat. Love the show, its a must for every visit.
On a hot day I will usually stop here. Air conditioning and darkness. Grab a Dole Whip and its showtime.
Enjoy the air conditioning and a Dole Whip while you relax for a few minutes.
A Disneyland classic. This stage show in the round was the first attraction to use audio animatronics. Be prepared to sit and watch as birds flowers and tiki gods serenade you.
This is a great place to get out of the heat, and its entertaining to boot. before the show, you can order pineapple-based refreshments and listen to the tikis describe themselves. if youre tall, watch out for the flowers dangling from the tree. the birds inside are great, and i especially enjoy the hawaiian war chant portion: flowers sing, tikis drum, and fake rain happens. love it!
For attractions that stand the test of time, this one is a hit. Walt Disneys Enchanted Tiki room was the very first fully animatronic show and is still in operation just inside the gates to Adventureland. The staging area is separated from the main path and there are seats to relax in while you wait for the show. Listen as each Tiki god introduces him or herself and give you a brief description of what they do.Enjoy a Dole Whip or Dole Whip float from the Tiki Juice Bar that is accessible from inside of the staging area and dont worry about having to hurry up and eat because they allow you to bring your treats into the show.Inside you will meet Jose, Michael, Pierre and Fritz. 4 parrots each from different countries. They are your hosts for the evenings production. After some light banter, the show begins and a wonderful display of sights and sounds begins. In the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room all the birds sing words and the flowers croon. Even the tiki gods on the walls eventually come alive and start to chant along to the music. The show doesnt last too long but its a nice change of pace from the outside park and very worth seeing at least once in your life. Its entertaining and nostalgic at the same time and takes me back to a time when Walt Disney himself used to roam the park.Id say that this attraction is a must see. Youll get an appreciation for the old and the new all in one sitting.Have fun and thanks for reading.
My family luvz 2 go on fast ridez. Eye enjoy tha traveling in tha park. Whut beauty 2relax.
Fun quick show to watch and a great shelter for the rain
Best sitting attraction. And the dole whip is the best dessert in the park.
Such a classic and must see if you ever go to Disneyland
Animatronic birds, thats all you need to know. Not really worth the wait.
In the....tiki-tiki-tiki-tiki-tikitiki-tiki-tiki-tiki-tikitiki-tiki-tiki-tiki-tikitiki-tiki-tiki-tiki-tikiIts like being trapped in a room filled with first graders who have eaten WAY too much sugar.Which way to the teacups?
Its an okay attraction. At least its never crowded
Favorite Place, enjoy Dole Whip Ice Cream & a show.
Classic spot! You must have a Dole Whip!!!!!! Its a great spot to relax for 30minutes and enjoy a show.
Best Dole Whip in the world. Not a exaggeration.
I like the clicking noise of the birds. Nice place to sit and relax in-between the walking around
Best stop on a hot day and grab a cool Dole float, Paradise!
Its a beautiful and magical masterpiece of Walts and I hope it is kept at Disneyland for years and years to come.
Its so really big and i love their roller coaster EVER!!!!
