(Visited March 2019, pre COVID experience) This park is right across the street from Disneyland. While Disneyland is a more “fairytale” themed park, this park focuses more of the Pixar side of Disney. Some of the must ride rides here are the incredicoaster, guardians of the galaxy, and soarin. The animation academy is nice also, you get to sit down for a bit and learn how to draw a Disney character ( I got to do Olaf).

I like this spot! They offer high quality food, they have a rich menu, The chief cook in that place is very trained, I like very much trying all their food. The food is always tasty, the attitude towards the clients is nice. I often eat in this restaurant and I was never disappointed. I highly recommend it.

Such a fun place, so much to do. It would take you a couple of days to do everything. Get there early for the popular rides. The Frozen show was pretty, err, cool. :) There are some decent food options, and great atmosphere at night, especially near the Cars ride. Hopefully they wont be too affected by covid.

Disney’s California Adventure was so much fun. We’re from Florida and we’re going to Disney World all the time. But, even though we may have a lot more to offer in Florida, that doesn’t take away any of the fun we had here in California. And the fact that you can walk back and forth from the 2 parks was an unexpected surprise. I’d say our favorite rides and area was Cars Land though. You literally feel like you walked into the movie.

After two days in Disneyland, i only spent a few hours here; loved the Guardians of the Galaxy Ride, also enjoyed the Little Mermaid, Mickeys Ferris wheel, and the Inside Out ride.Only have the park 4 stars because I didnt like the layout, it was a little more confusing than Disneyland; in Disneyland all the lands shoot out from the castle (more of less), in California Adventure things felt more happenstance. I walked in the wrong direction about 3 times, and that was part of the reason I didnt stay longer.Definitely feel like Disneyland had more things I was interested in; I could skip California Adventure altogether if ever I return.

By far the best Food and Wine Festival! The Brunch Fried Chicken and Waffle is a MUST GET; the chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the orange popping jelly really tied the entire thing together. Another must get was the Buffalo Turkey Leg, its a bang for the buck! It was around 13 dollars! and the same price as a normal turkey leg at Disney; it was topped with blue cheese and the buffalo sauce was just perfect. The Animal Cookie shake is also a MUST GET. Overall, had an amazing experience.

We had a great time and the kids enjoyed it. The lines were way too long and the fast pass was great but it is very limited. The price is what keeps it from getting 5 stars. Soooo expensive. Not sure how the average American family can afford to vacation here. Which is sad because all should be able to enjoy such a landmark.

Disney California Adventure Park, commonly referred to as Disney California Adventure, California Adventure, or DCA, is a theme park located in Anaheim, California. It is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company through its Parks, Experiences and Products division. The 72-acre (29 ha) park is themed after the history and culture of California, which celebrates the fun and adventure of the state through the use of various Disney, Pixar and Marvel properties. The park opened on February 8, 2001 as Disneys California Adventure Park or Disneys California Adventure, and it is the second of two theme parks built at the Disneyland Resort complex, after Disneyland Park. The concept of a theme park dedicated to California arose from a meeting of Disney executives in 1995, following the cancellation of WestCOT, a planned West Coast version of Walt Disney Worlds utopian EPCOT Center. Construction of the park began in June 1998 and was completed by early 2001. Disney initially projected high attendance rates at the new park; however, a series of preview openings held in January 2001 led to negative reviews, and after the park officially opened to the public on February 8, 2001, the companys attendance projections were never met. Disney spent the next several years incrementally adding new rides, shows, and attractions, and implementing other promotions aimed at boosting attendance. In 2007, Disney announced a major expansion of the park as well as a major overhaul of a significant portion of the park. Construction lasted for five years and was completed in stages, culminating with the opening of Buena Vista Street and Cars Land in June 2012.According to the Themed Entertainment Association, the park hosted approximately 9.9 million guests in 2018, making it the 12th-most visited theme park in the world that year.

Basically this is the happiest place on Earth where your inner child gets to shine.Going during Halloween was the best experience ever. Crowds were light and the weather was good.I highly recommend the Max Pass. Its so worth the money I promise. You get fast passes for rides so youre not waiting forever in line. Which means you get to enjoy more rides with the least amount of waiting.Secondly it comes with the Photo pass. They take pictures of you at the park and you link them to your ticket and get the pictures. Even the pictures on the rides. So it was amazing because we had a professional photographer take our memorable pictures and we get to download them. One more less thing to have to really do since your pictures are taken for you.I loved it here and cant wait for our next Disney adventure.

This was a really great day out! California has really turned on the sunshine for us and we have had two gorgeous days, one at Disneyland and today at California Adventure. This is really a 5 star, but I enjoyed Disneyland more for sentimental reasons. There is added magic in Disneyland and it brings back great memories from when I visited when I was young! If you like thrill rides, then this is a great stop! The new Guardians of the Galaxy ride is amazing as is the Incredicoaster! The cars section is sensational and is modelled amazingly. There is such care take to the details of the setup.I highly recommend a two day pass, one day for Disneyland and one for California Adventure. It is two very busy days, but well worth it! If you have young kids, then you will likely need a couple of extra days.

First time at Disney California Adventure Park and it was loads of fun! I will say this park is more adult than Disney Land... Disney Land is more for the little ones, as all the rides are kid friendly. Disney California has more adult rides and attractions. Park was clean, lots of concessions, and different restaurants to choose from. The best rides in the park would have to be the Guardians of the Galaxy & The Incredicoaster! The bathrooms aren’t the cleanest, for a theme park, they’re kept up... Could use some stronger air freshener.Overall a great experience, can’t say that I’ll be back, but it was a good time.

This was my first time here, though Ive been going to Disneyland for 25 years now. It was pretty amazing. A lot better then I expected and much bigger. When I was a kid this was a giant parking lot. This is quite a bit different then Disneyland, but in a good way. Themed with Pixar and Marvel, its a ton of fun to explore, especially if you have kids that have grown up watching both.I recommend taking a few days if you intend to spend time at both parks. The lines are really long, but the fast pass system helps. Word of advice: get there early and immediately grab a fast pass for the most popular attraction. Even doing that, you might not get in for a few hours.Take sunblock and some spending money, because the sun is hot and prices high. Otherwise its epic. Enjoy!

One of the busiest days of the year being the last day before the children go back to school in America, we expected it to be busy and not get on many rides but we were still able to get on 15 each day with minimal queues. I know the three stars looks like sour grapes. The park is fun and great for families but the pricing is simply crazy. Park admission is huge now, and to buy a simple hot dog and a bag of chips is now $9. Lunch for a family of five will easily run you $150. Crowds are nearly always huge. We sometimes wait for an hour or more to ride a single ride.... and we use the ride apps to help manage the time. Ive visited Disneyland and California Adventure most years for travel years now. Having been to many of the Disney parks around the world, this is my personal favorite. The park is themed so well, you really feel like you are experiencing a different region as you traverse the park. From Hollywood to the redwoods, you get a great taste of all the unique regions of California. While there are less rides here than other parks, the rides they do have are excellent for the most part. The food options are also great, and they actually have an impressive selection of craft beer and wine scattered about! Do yourself a favor and spend at least a day exploring this park.

Always a great time. The reason for 4 out of 5 rather then 5 is 99% of the rides at Disneyland and Disney California have the ability to do fast pass through the app by scanning your digital ticket at the Fast Pass locations. However Toy Story Mania one of probably three or four rides that are big draws to this park does cannot scan the digital ticket, you have to have the printed one. Now I know if you buy the Fast Pass package you can just pick your fast pass through the app without the need of scanning but since that is an additional charge seems silly. Make all the rides have the same process of getting the fast pass one way or another rather then dealing with multiple system. Other then that had a wonderful time at Disney, great service, food, and rides. Did not wait in a single line at either park for over 50min which is always a win.

In love! This was by far the best part of our entire vacation in California. This was our first time visiting Disney for my husband(37), my son(9) and myself(30). I will first start with the parking. This place is huge. We surprised our son with the visit and just the professionalism from the security guards made me realize that Disney is another deal. From their a cool ride took us to the entrance of the park where you get quickly and excited and they have Disney stores ready for Disney ears purchases. We then went in the park, were giving our maps and our first visit pins. Literally after 3 minutes of being amazed of being there, some people dressed as a queen and other characters started talking to my son and made him super happy. They screamed his name for everybody to hear and made him feel special. We then started going around the park, rode several rides and saw The Little Mermaid. I swear, I was so excited I cried. I waited 30 years for this day and it was awesome. We have bought the photo pass which is totally worth it and everywhere we were at they would take us a picture and within minutes the pictures were uploaded for us to see. They had areas for refreshments and many locations for drinks and food. Other than the rides and the cool place, I have to say that there was not one single unhappy employee. I was impressed. They all stay within their character and were super nice. To end the night, we say the parade that seriously is breathtaking. My son has never screamed with more passion and excitement and my husband and I will always cherish this day. The fireworks show was amazing and we will definitely be coming back for another round of fun. After my visit, I’m in total love with Disneyland and will make sure to plan a stay. 2 days minimum to visit both parks is what I would recommend.

Cars Land is a huge hit, and of course the Cars ride is a must do. The last 30 seconds of this ride is what this ride is best for. Compared to Disneyland this park is very spread out and harder to navigate through in my opinion. The rides arent as great as the Disneyland park. My favorite ride was The Little Mermaid and cars. The difference between the two parks is this land of course takes you back to the essence of Disney historical Disney characters and cartoons. I recommend the Max Pass to anyone who doesnt want to spend more than a couple days in the park, otherwise you might want to get an annual pass. The photo pass is great, although we didnt use it a lot because we preferred to queue for rides instead of pictures, the quality of the pictures and the camera guys are professionals! They sure know how to make you stand out from the background and the crowd of people, definitely a must try.Well visit for sure once the Avengers Campus opens.

We had so much fun! My little girl was so excited to see characters come to life. I also felt like a child again when I seen Spider-Man and the Black Panther and all the other marvel characters. We hope to visit again soon we were only there for a day and it rained so we didnt get to do a lot of stuff.

California adventure definitely offers less than Disneyland in terms of stuff for adults to do, but it has some of the best food options of both parks imo. Particularly, the lamplight lounge has amazing ratatouille that I crave whenever I’m not at the parks. Simply amazing.

Head out here for later in the day so you can experience it at night. Everything looks so amazing lit up! I would suggest a park hopper and MaxPass here simply because it’s a smaller park and can cover most of the land in half a day. Great food at Lamplight as well.

Great for the whole family. Definitely get the hopper for this park. You will want to go to Disneyland after spending halve your day here. I dont think is worth spending the whole day at this park. You will be able to see more of the night shows. Your family will definitely have a better time with the hopper. More expensive but worth it. You can take pre made sandwiches water bottles and snacks.

Great place to visit with so much to see and do! I liked it as much as any of the parks at Walt Disney World. Cars Land was my favorite. I could have hung out there all day. It was like you were in the movie! I would definitely go back! Some of the lines were a little long but its too be expected. But the weather was great so it wasnt too bad.

Came for the holidays and it was great. Came during the week it was great not to crowded. Got to do the whole park. Cant wait for marvel land to open next year. Had a great time eating all the holiday food they had all through the park. Bought my mom a new hat and they were able to embroider it for her. She loved it and it came out great. Love coming to the park for the holidays

10/10 would recommend. California Adventure gets better every time u come back (only every 5-10 years). A particular favorite is the immersive Cars Land which is done impeccably. Don’t miss the Cars Land ride, the wait is insane Though so try for fast passes.

Absolutely loved it! When we went we took advantage of the fast passes which made our first trip such a success. We rode and visited every attraction in one day! The park attendants were so helpful and added to our visit. One tip I wish we had was about getting a good spot for the fireworks. If you wish to do this you must go early to the front of the park.

The holiday festival has begun today. If youre not ready for the holidays yet, this is not the place to go. The food is great albeit a tad expensive. The lines were surprisingly not to long. We were able to park at Pixar Pals Parking Structure which is a very convenient area to park. The new tram entrance is also great. Overall another terrific experience today.

I loved the park. Its really fun for the little ones, and if youre looking for a bit of a thrill, there are a few rides that may pique your interest, like incredicoaster or the guardians of the Galaxy ride. The nighttime fireworks and water show are also wonderful. I would definitely recommend coming here and bringing the kids if you get the chance.

A really fun and vibrant area to visit any time of day (within operating hours of course). There are a lot of picture-worthy locations, rides, performers, and other stalls for visitors of all ages. Its even more colorful at night with the neon lights and the scheduled light shows.
