Was frowned on since I was over 30. Sticky everything and bathroom. Well I seen drunk tanks better than the bathroom here

Its ok if you really are lovely but alcohol wont help you so get a good friend and have some decent diner instead then go there so scream out a song that you have in your heart

Its a college drinking establishment. Dont come if youre not in college. Old dudes shouldnt be there hitting on college girls. Stay away, old dudes. Otherwise, great bar, great music, adequate drinks.

Sips is such a fun bar in Ames! It’s the bar I always make sure to go too. Great drinks and drink prices! Always have a good DJ!

The bar is really good, but musics are same and the floor is too sticky. But the environment is perfect to dance as the floor is spacious and it’s a bit dark.

Got denied and my drivers license taken by douche bag bouncer with a god complex. Tried to talk to management to get it back, but they ignored any complaints. Had to get a new license the next morning. Worst bar in Ames. Mickeys or Cys WAY better.

Pricey drinks and gross atmosphere

Sips is awesome, great bar with awesome bartenders. Its a college bar and the only food they serve is a lunchbox.

It did have a working sink and toilet the other night. Also there was soap and paper towels so I guess Ill upgrade my one star review. Keep up the good work proud of you gbless

Typically college bar. Its a fun place for what it is. If youre expecting some high end place with nice bathrooms and fancy atmosphere then youre in the wrong spot.

Typical college bar. Go for Sipsoclock at 11:30 for free Dirty Shirleys. It does seem cleaner than in the past. Pro-tip, Sips and Paddys are connected by stairs in the back. If there is a line for one, use the other line and switch in the back. There is a dance floor with live DJs, pool, and skee ball. Drinks are bottom barrel, but it can back a fun place sometimes.

Nice place to hangout with friends. It gets hot and sweaty when its crowded though. Want free drinks? make it to Sips O Clock (11 PM).

The floor is glue and the smell is worse than a barn. Expensive drinks overall I cannot understand why southern comfort is more expensive than rum.

This place can be fun when its busy, but otherwise dont waste your time. The bathrooms were underwater on a couple visits, the drinks were generally poorly made, and service is hit or miss, especially if youre a male. For some reason all the bartenders there think a vodka/tonic requires lime juice. Ew.

Dj should try and cater more to his audience and less to himself. Service was adequate.

Its perfect on Wednesday, but other night just stay there until 11pm. After that, go to Ajs.

Decent College Town Bars, Drinks are as youd expect, DJ is actually very good, staff is great.
