This park is great for long walks on the trail, there’s access to the Chattahoochee river, and a nice size children’s playground with public restrooms. Very large park with lots of great people enjoying many different activities! Lots of dog owners walking around also.

Nice open green fields and a few ok views of the river (also boat ramp to enter the river). Me and the pup took a walk around here. It was ok. I live in the area so I’m checking off parks. This was a one & done for me.

Absolutely gorgeous place with impressive and scenic walking trails for a roadside park. In fact, in fact the trails are so diverse and scenic that once you get far enough on them you almost forget how close you are to civilization. I saw wonderful little trailside patches of green where one could read, sunbathe, workout, almost anything. The maintenance staff was very friendly and helpful as well and I love the Chattahoochee history it teaches you along the trail. Just a wonderful place (p.s. the dog loved it equally)

Great park! There are some paved walking trails, and the rest are gravel-covered. Our family likes going to walk around the pond with the fountains, follow the trails along the river, and end by the playground. To get there you enter at the environmental campus, turn left, and follow the gravel road along to the parking area (beware of potholes!).FYI: If you go in the fall, youll find lots of people there trying to take pictures at the covered bridge in preparation for their holiday cards.

Review №45

This is a well maintained park with a bunch of trails and a childrens playground. There is a man made pond with fountains, as well as a gazebo. It is a beautiful place for a walk, a picnic, a ceremony or just photography for a special occasion.I went there under the impression that the trails were hard packed gravel and they werent. They were loose, rocky, and I think I single handledly gave my 15 month old son Traumatic Brain Injury down some of those trails from how rocky the terrain was (I didnt really, but I was trying to give an idea as to how very rocky it actually is). I went on a dreary, drizzly day, so there wasnt many people and it was cooler outside. The quiet was nice, but the trails were too close to the noisy, main road for me. I would have loved to have felt the forest setting I was seeing all around me without all the noise from just about 200 feet to my right. There were lots of native plants and flowers to take in and there were quite a few birds out. The park is dog friendly, but people seemed to take this as quite literally, as everyone seemed to just allow their dogs to roam free. While I dont really care, I do want to not have a dog come up to me while Im walking my child around; you know, just in case. I find it quite disrespectful, as I dont think anyone would like if I kneed their dog if it jumped on me.There was a river type thing, but I think it was some kind of sewer system drainage river co-op? I dont know exactly, but it wasnt serene and it kind of was smelly.Overall, I thought the park was nice. But it wasnt my type and I wouldnt go back.

Nice wide gravel walk ways with meandering paths that dead end at the river. This park is great for dogs and launching or retrieving small boats or kayaks. For running its a bit short, so a couple of laps might be in order to get a decent workout. There is plenty of wildlife here including various birds, rabbits, chickmonks and squirls. However, this park is right next to an open air water treatment facility which means it does smell bad, especially towards the northern end of the park. The air isnt dangerous or even offensive (unless you are very sensitive to smell) but the presence of sewage is noticable. You might want to picknic elsewhere.

Bathrooms were disgusting. Place smelled of raw sewage inside and out, sink backed up with brown water. Expect to slog through 20 to 30 feet of over ankle deep mud on boat ramp to get to river. People at the park were all very nice, unsecured kayak and ladder in my truck were still there a couple of hours later. Safe place, just poorly maintained.
