Had great coffee at this place while passing through Albuquerque! The beans are locally roasted and the staff saw we were from out of town and were super friendly giving recommendations on what coffee to try and nearby places to eat!
Always a favorite of mine. I love how the 2 ladies that were working were friendly to myself and kids. Always great coffee! I love supporting love businesses
Very good coffee, and pastries. Simple, local, and not overdone like many coffee shops can become. Will frequent since moving into the area, hopefully.
I’ve been wanting to visit this place for a while and finally got a chance to today. This place is wonderful. You walk in and there is a very communal and relaxing atmosphere. I ordered the Aztec Latte and it was one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. My cousin ordered the Turkish Latte and it was equally as delicious. She’s lactose intolerant and they easily substituted with almond milk. Great coffee, great atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back.
I came here to get some late breakfast, and I got a green chile burrito as well as a chocolate donut. The burrito got heated up and served with some salsa, and it was quite delicious although the paper wrapping the burrito was stuck to the burrito itself. The chocolate donut wasnt too sweet and was almost like eating a cake; the consistency was interesting and good. All this came out to be around $10 post-tax which is a bit pricey. Due to covid, theres no seating indoors but theres two tables outside to enjoy the good weather and eat some good food!
The interior blends a clean, modern look with some New Mexico influence and just has a sleek vibe to it. And theres a nice outdoor area, too. The cold brew is delicious and the people are great. Zendo is centrally located and theres usually ample street parking. The bathroom, while out in the open for everyone to see you going in (lol) is clean and spacious.
Its okay. They make good lattes/drinks and some employees are very kind. The beans they carry arent great, and some employees can be gruff.
My favorite is the Zia latte with dark chocolate and a pastry from The Witching Flour
I was hesitant to write this review because I love the coffee at Zendo. However, every time my boyfriend or I go in the experience is never great. Prior to the pandemic we always felt out of place and didnt receive great customer service. Each time Ive visited since it seems as if the customer service has gotten worst and worst. There little to no communication from the baristas and anytime you show up to order or pickup an online order you get the cold shoulder. Its hard to want to return when those that are serving you are rude and unwelcoming. For this reason we will not be returning to Zendo and will be picking up our morning coffee elsewhere. Hopefully this is something that changes soon so that other customers dont receive the same treatment.
Hearty vegan breakfasts like sausage tofu. Macadamia nut milk.
Communicative, community concerned, caring staff & ownership. “Wowed” on multiple occasions by the menu items and variety of alternative mills offered. The coffee is delicious of course!
Coffee got some oomph to it, got that caffinated crack!
Just passing through. Great coffee. Specialty drink was just a tiny bit on the sweet side.
They are enforcing masks which I love. They have pastries from local shops and some really awesome lattes. Very friendly and kind
Really good coffee! Nice people, great environment even if were not allowed inside. Ill be trying there beans next visit
This is our go to coffee shop when the kiddos want to have a nice weekend morning with us. The coffee is always good. The local baked goods are great (partial to the sticky bun). The ambiance is enjoyable, and you can check out the revolving artwork displays. New pieces from new artists all the time. Check this place out.
Favorite local coffee shop. Great coffe and great people!
They steam the oat milk perfectly Everytime! Thank you from all us loctose intolerant latte lovers.
I love hipsters and weird coffee. All jokes aside, great atmosphere, great staff, personable, and of course the best coffee in Albuquerque.I come back every week for the staff and the coffee. Try the almond and pecan pastries!
Been there 3 years ago, and were still laughing about the bad experience we had there. Coffee was good, but beeing stared down by 20 hipsters was a unique, not too pleasant experience. I can only recommend going there if you fit the artsy flair.
Amazing place! Just moved from California and I was missing that artsy vibe with a great social place to chill at. This place even has delicious coffee to go with it.
Zendo is the best coffee in town. Cool atmosphere, lots of people studying or working, and well made espresso drinks. Try out the Aztec Latte for something spicy. They serve Burque Bakery pastries - which are amazing and normally only sold at the farmers markets. Also, if you want to switch to beer, hop next door to sidetrack.
By far my favorite coffee place in Albuquerque. Great atmosphere, friendly and talented baristas, and great baked goods. There is not much they arent doing well.My biggest complaint? More wall plugs so I can hang out longer (and buy more coffee and food).
We had a very brief stop in Albuquerque on the Amtrak. When looking at the map I realized we could jet off to Zendo for some quick afternoon Cortados. Lo and behold they were excellent... as was the various pasties we purchased as well. The baristas were very helpful despite our harried state and made it the best little haunt we’ve taken in a good while. If I’m ever in the land of turquoise again, I am sure to return.
Great options, great food!
I love the location, it’s downtown while also close to the freeway. I really like that they serve interesting drink combinations like coffee with chili in it. The environment is usually bustling with people who seem to be regulars but it’s never overcrowded. The baristas are always very kind and welcoming. When I need to meet a client or have some time to work on my laptop Zendo is often the place I choose because the vibe for that is just perfect.
First time going here. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and the art on the walls is beautiful. They also have outdoor seating; after entering towards the back. The staff is very friendly and helpful. When I asked which had the most caffeine the staff right away responded and include some of the ingredients. Overall a very enjoyable atmosphere for coffee and pastries.
I always leave Zendo happier than when I arrived. Highly recommend the red cappuccino!
Really neat place. Very authentic, good coffee and latte art. Worth the money
This is the first coffee shop I fell in love with when I moved here. Amazing coffee. Sweet baristas. Feels like home.
Really cares about the community. Great place to meet with friends or make new ones.
The atmosphere was warm and cozy. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I inquired about a coffee they are making and the gal willingly explained the process and ingredients. I regret not getting her name. The burrito was delicious and I appreciated that it was not warned in a microwave. The gluton free, vegan donuts were amazing as well. We had the red chili burrito served with a side of salsa. I had a black coffee which was very tasty and my friend had a Zia Latte with white chocolate and whip cream. Out of this world for the taste buds. Sat outside on the patio. Beautiful morning! We will definately visit again when back on Albuquerque.
No space for our small group of 4 to sit and enjoy coffee together. Its more of a study hall or workplace with individual stations. I asked a couple of people if they would mind moving to another table to make room. They said no because they were charging their computer near the outlet. The staff are nice but need to think about space issues and set up some guidelines for use of tables so that this can be a community space like it was intended to be.
Walked in and noone greeted us. Waited 4 minutes before anyone acknowledged us then acted as if we were bothering her. Whole environment was condescending. Couldnt wait to leave. Second street location. Only ordered one drink and waited a long time. Wont be going back.
EXCELLENT coffee and espresso!! I tried their house roast and the guest roast and both were amazing and smooth and had very different flavors. Beautiful interior and courtyard! Will be back!
Love this place. Best iced coffee Ive known thats locally served. They have special lattes that are delicious as well. Their location is always composed nicely with ever changing artwork on their walls. They have a nice patio in the back thats connected to a brewery. Best of both worlds I guess you could say. Theyve always had sesame bagels when Ive wanted them. Wish it came with more cream cheese, but you should go there for their coffee not their cream cheese :p.
Great flat whites... just like they are made in New Zealand. Their lattes are creative and delicious too.
Such a chill spot. A good mix of people having conversations and others working on their stuff. The decor inside is also really relaxing. Theres an outside patio, but I didnt check it out this time around.
Friendly staff very kind. Great drinks always good when i can make a quick stop.
They have great coffee, just NEVER open. Their hours where 7 to 6. I have attempted 3 times to get coffee and closed every time. This morning was the last straw, they changed the hours to 8 to 2 and if course they were closed. I got there at 8:18am, while I was in the El Vado plaza 4 others tried to go in.
Great coffee and nice atmosphere. Really enjoyed the back patio!
Great little place to get a coffee
Great food cozy place to just go and have some coffee or something to eat staff is great located downtown Albuquerque off of 2nd Street
I sampled two items over the course of 2 days. Was so good I had to try something different before I posted this review to be sure! The drip coffee: dark roastThe Cold Brew: tastyThese are very good drinks and they have super friendly staff and baristas. Theyre pretty quick, even when I saw it get a little busier in the late morning. definetely recommend this spot. Downtown, park away and walk though. parking is off the street only and succeeded once of my two tries.
Every cup and pastry has been delicious. Always great service. Thank you
Id give this place half a star. Even though its kind of a neat space, the coffee is below average and the customer service was horrible. The girls behind the counter werent friendly and were mostly condescending. Its filled with hipsters who dont mind this and just consider themselves lucky to be at a place where there are other hipsters. Hopefully, it will go out of business.
I decided to stop by this shop on my way to work this morning. I walked in and the space itself was beautiful, but that was the only positive in my experience. I was not greeted by either barista as they were completely caught up in conversation with one another. When I tried to get their attention the girl gave me a dirty look. My drink came out room temperature at best, and I was never given any kindness to redeem my initial greeting. I likely will not be coming back as there are plenty of other shops in the downtown area on my commute to work.
My favorite coffee place in Albuquerque. They make all the espresso drinks you can think of and they are amazing. Next door to a great brewery as well and sometimes in the back patio they have food. They make great specialty lattes, like the rose cardamom latte, it’s really good. Check it out! There is another location at El Vado motel as well.
Great coffee, pastries, and friendly. A bit different but thats what they are going for. Great Baristas every time.
The reviews arent lying- the cold brew is delightful!Enviroment is chill-staff/other patrons are friendly but arent intrusive when you are at work.Decor and the art displayed is so lovely too!
This is a modern artistic place that has good coffee and food
Sweet Sabine made my friend and I the best cup of coffee we had ever had. We both had the Zia, one white, one dark. Serene, calm, friendly little shop in a hip motel ! We will definitely return and bring friends !!!!!
Amazing coffee. You will never want to go to a chain again.
Good Coffee and Snacks. Good place to chill and caffeinate. Sometimes folks at counter are more standoffish than normal, but still decent. Coffee and hip are often connected at the hip.
I was not nearly hip enough for this place. But the cold brew was delicious and served with coffee cubes instead of ice. Would definitely get gauges in my ears and go again.
Great service cold and hot chai teas were great!
Funky, fun. Shared tables, too many computers but if you like that sort of thing then itll be fun for you
Always good coffee. The breakfast burritos are good too but you have to get there early enough to get one.
Cute shop with community tables and nice coffee options
Great for a quick bite to eat and great place to meet people
Good coffee and pastry. Dog friendly. Quick service. Street parking.
Good coffee. Nice place.
LIQUID SPEED.FRESH ATMOSPHERE
Place is a bit crowded but otherwise very good.
Really enjoyed the Turkish Latte! Friendly staff!
The matcha tea latte is the best Ive ever had!
Great service and goods
Super cool downtown place with EXCELLENT coffee!
The coffee here is fantastic, the atmosphere is really unique. The patio outside is a great space. Every time Ive been its been super busy, but the talented people working have always been able to keep on too of everything.
Good coffee and a quant place. Not a ton of indoor seats though.
One of my favorite for great tasting lattes. Always feel a little unhip when coming here but everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming. Turkish latte is my favorite.
Good coffee. Ran into this place out of the blue. Very chill place. Good burritos. Great vibe.
Cant stop wont stop with the Aztec lattes
Hipsterist place in town
Great atmosphere. I go here often to meet with old friends and hang out. Its a great casual place
DOGS!! Friendly dogs and nice owners makes me a happy customer. The Aztec latte was pretty dern good too. Baristas rock. In the voice of Deadpool} I could live and die here a million times ️
Many try too hard hipsters here. Besides that, they make good coffee. Good customer service. Worth a visit.
This is an awesome little coffee shop that feels like it belongs in an episode of Portlandia! Great and original coffee as well as pastries. Also the staff is really cool and very passionate about what they do!
Very good coffe. Cute little place. It was very busy. Looks like a great spot to meet and work. I found myself sitting on the patio that they share with Side Tracks, located in the North building beside Zendo.
One of the most welcoming coffee shops I’ve ever Visited. The space is gorgeous, they have such an interesting menu which made it really hard to chose. I recently moved here from New York and the barista who made my latte was not only extremely sweet, but she hands down made the most beautiful latte I have ever seen. It was so beautiful I almost couldn’t drink it. They have super fast WiFi, great baristas, and great coffee. It was the perfect way to start my day, and I plan on starting many more this way.
