Hyak county park is a well maintained park just off of highway 20, there is a boat ramp and you can also hang out by the water and wade in the water a bit. If you are going to swim make sure to be careful cause there is a current. The park is a good place to go for a float down the river. The parking lot is a decent size and also has truck with boat trailer parking spots, restrooms, picnic benches and I believe they have those bbq pit things

Its where we usually hop outta the river after kayaking from Corvallis. Its an easy spot with a ramp and way less crowded than continuing on to Takena or Bowman. The ramp isnt in great shape and could use some fixing, but it isnt dangerous or anything like that. There are also tons of trees, so its really nice if youve been out on the water in the hot sun all day.

Great park with a nice waterfront view. The observation deck is rotten and in disrepair. The Californians moving here, and driving up cost need to be taxed to update the parks!

This is a place I go to for some quiet time. Sometimes theres people there but most of the time there is not. I enjoy being able to get down to the water and have a decent view of the sunset. The water there is calm and relaxing to the eyes and ears.

More of a boat launch, than I expected. Nice little area a lot of shade.

This is a great place to put in or take out. Lots of trailer parking and regular parking as well. Its a 7.5 mile drive to a a place to put in on the north side of Corvallis behind The Old Spaghetti Factory and a good day float from there if you stop and enjoy some spots on the river.

Good for a short float! In at Hyak out Bryant, Bowman..etc.. just an hour or two. Or float from corvalis to Bowman.. long and slow.. but Ive done it.Clean bathroom if you have a need.

Sadly people without boat trailers parked in every boat and trailer spaces. People with boats need those spaces!

Floated from Corvallis & got out here. The ramp made it very easy. Heard you dont wanna be here after dark, though. Supposedly theres some crime, & drug deals and other things going on in the bathrooms

This park has a lot of shaded picnic places with park benches which is great for family’s out on a picnic but it’s right beside a busy road and doesn’t offer much solace. If you travel down the boat ramp when the river is low in late summer there is a great rocky beach access that allows for nice fishing or picnicking.

Great place to put in for tubing down to Bryant Park.

Great little park on the river. Being upgraded at present. My dogs love this park.

A hidden gem- this place is expansive but feels cozy with plenty of tree cover. An awesome bridge, a couple crows-nests that overlook the river, and several picknick tables throughout. Not too busy either

Like most parks in the Corvallis area, its kind of run-down and in need of repair. A few picnic tables, some grass, a bathroom and a boat launch. Aside from that theres nothing here.
