This is a great place to visit. The shop is quite big (which didn’t look like in the outside). They sell wine on the right hand side of the shop and souvenirs / pistachios / restrooms on the left. All very kind and prices varied depending on what you want to buy (mugs started about $4- up to fancy kinds), bag of pistachios from about $5 and up, all wines were$12 a piece. Most popular wines according to cashier: gewuztramier, la luz and pistachio kind (see picture below for more details). Ice cream was good, all scenery outside and around was beautiful to take pictures and they also had a small fish pond. I didn’t attached my best pics but I Definitely recommend this stop.

It was amazing. The most random stop weve ever made but couldnt help ourselves. They have a 30 min tour of the farm and very knowledgeable tour guide. The pistachio ice cream was awesome. We also got their pistachio delight wine (after a free wine tasting), flavoured pistachios and coffee. I think its a great stop for before or after visiting white sands!

I wanted to go as a joke really. Who doesnt want to see the worlds largest nut, right? Especially when youre one yourself! Yes, its definitely got the tourist trap vibe going but its still worth it because the tour was great! For 2$ Matt took us a shuttle around the operation and taught us about the trees and the grapes ( yes! they have wine and its GOOD). He was entertaining and patient and made what could have been boring really fun. Needless to say afterwards we went back in and bought more merchandise. Suddenly I needed wine and more pistachio treats. Honestly, I would stop again.

Always a great time! I did once when I first moved here two years ago and again today. If you come you HAVE to do a tour. It only cost 6 dollars for my parents and I. Matt was our tour guide and he was incredible! It’s always awesome to hear the history of the farm and see how the pistachios are grown and harvested. Inside they have a nice shop with free wine and ice cream tastings. Currently they aren’t doing pistachio samples due to covid. But all of them taste great and are pretty affordable! All of them are grown, roasted, and seasoned right on the farm.

For being in such an interesting and small town, this place really is fun. The place is really welcoming by its people. There are tons to see and try whether you enjoy different types of Pistachios, wine, or even the provided ice cream. The tour of the Vineyard and Pistachio trees was very great and the tour guy did an incredible job.

Being a pistachio lover, I recently planned my whole NM trip around stopping at Pistachioland! We rented a car in Albuquerque, and drove to the farm. Its an awesome place to visit, the shop is full of goodies and souveniers, and the atmosphere is incredible! The lady behind the wine tasting counter was belting out her best chords to a Journey song...who wouldnt love THAT?! We purchased lots of things, and carried them through 3 airports to get home. These are HANDS DOWN the BEST pistachios Ive ever eaten!!!I was a little sad to see how many empty shells were in my 2 lb bag, though. Usually the loose nuts are in the bottom of the bag...nope. Not this time. I guess I carried these empty shells from NM all the way back to IN!!! This, however, will not stop me from ordering more online.**Just a little update: They more than made up for the empty shells in my bag, they sent me a new one today!!! Talk about Customer Service!! Thank you so much, folks, for the generous gift!!

I recommend taking the tour you really will learn a lot about pistachio trees. I found it fascinating and now understand why pistachios usually cost so much. I think the pricing for their pistachios that they sell is reasonable, although there souvenirs are overpriced. My sister and I really enjoyed ourselves there it was a fun little hour and a half break from driving.

We went and saw the worlds largest pistachio and really, we went because as of Monday, Nov 16/20 our governor ran into her hidey hole (taking the state with her) and there were few options left open but Im glad we went. The cheap tour in the tram was worth the time. Learned a couple of surprising facts about farming the nuts and wine grapes. Once things open up, if youre in the Alamagordo area and have an hour, check it out.

Me and my girlfriend came for the tour and it was really great. Matt the guide was pretty knowledgeable and fun as he rode us around the farm where they grow the pistachios and grapes for the wine. I was very impressed. I also recommend checking out the gift shop as there is plenty around to shop for. The flavored pistachios had to be my favorite product in the shop!

I have driven by for a couple years now when driving from Colorado to El Paso and I had always wanted to stop by. Today I had time, and I was so excited to try the ice cream and buy some goods. The staff is NOT welcoming AT ALL. I went into this store and smiled at the 3 cashiers lol I was fricken excited! None of them greeted me instead they were just staring towards me as I looked around at the different items. ACKWARD! I quickly picked out a jar of Mango preserves and walked back towards the register to pay. My cashier, Savannah has very poor customer service skills. I asked about the ice cream hoping she would talk to me about the tour or something but instead she was short and when she processed my purchase she handed me my card and receipt and PUSHED my bag towards me without saying a word. I then thanked her (even though she never thanked me) but got absolutely nothing back. I WILL DEFINITELY just KEEP DRIVING BY what a terrible experience. I guess my expectations were not anything close to what actually happened. Hopefully my $9.99 mango preserves will help with the extremely unpleasant and sour taste From this waste of time stop.

I went to McGinns 5 minutes before they closed. As I was pulling into the parking lot, an employee closed the gate before I could pull my car into the lot. I had driven 7 hours from AZ and I explained to the woman that I was just passing through and only wanted a picture with the Pistachio. She literally rolled her eyes at me and said, “you’re only getting a picture from behind the fence.” She was extremely rude. I understand she wanted to close but there was a better way she could have handled this.

This was one of my favorite attractions on my road trip from Denver, CO to White Sands. My friend and I saw their giant pistachio along the way and later had free time and decided to visit. The owner was really nice and came up to our tour vehicle and talked a little about the place.Justin, our tour guide, was awesome and was able to answer any questions we had about the farm. They also grow grapes. Time to get to the BEST PART.With the tour purchase ($2), you get a dollar off ice cream. We got a GIGANTIC portion size of their pistachio ice cream in a waffle bowl for $3.80. It was more than enough for me and my other teenage friend. Finally, we tried out all of the different pistachio flavors and they are delicious. I have never seen or tried a flavored pistachio before, so the green chili one was like a flood of flavor in my mouth. Yum. I ended up buying the 32 oz. size pack with red chili, green chili, garlic, and lemon lime.I HIGHLY recommend you go if you get a chance.

Initially I just stopped to see what the deal was with the giant pistachio and I left with four bags of pistachios. I dont even like pistachios. Just kidding, who the hell doesnt like pistachios? They have pistachios samples of over 20 different flavors. The selection is greater than the buffet at the Golden corral. Go in and try some and youll be taking bags upon bags home for family and friends. Honestly, when I got home I had to hide them so no one else would eat them. Also there are pistachios tours which I did not go on due to time and I think some wine tasting thing. Dont know if its some pistachio flavored wine, but these two young ladies got loaded and brought home a couple of bottles so I am guessing it was excellent. To think I spent a day at the nearby White sands national Park and another day trying to remove sand from socks, shoes and underwear, I couldve just spent the entire day at pistachio land instead. We all make mistakes in life, dont repeat mine, go directly to pistachio land.

A great place to visit and learn about pistachios with the kids, and of course to get your pistachio on. They have many flavors, ice cream, gifts, it is a great visit, plan on a couple hours and include the tour. If the option exists, you want James as your tour guide. Talented, handsome, funny, a frustrated stand up comic who knows more than anyone should about Pistachios. I think he walks through the groves at night and talks to the trees, practicing his pistachio jokes and checking on their health. Even if you want to stop by and just grab a 25 lbs bag of Pistachios, it is worth the visit.
