It is always nice to take a walk here. The trail is nice and the park is big and connects to other parks. The river and bridge is beautiful too.

We hiked the trail at Big Bend. First know that all water fountains are covered and closed. Second the trailhead bathrooms had a sign on one door stating they were closed. So, enjoy your hike but, dont count on the facilities. The trails were very busy. I thought if I heard to your left one more time! Well, it seems there were a lot of bikes out there with a few runners, a few dog walkers and numerous hikers. This being the case you may want to plan your visit in the earlier morning hours. This is the first time we started at 10 a.m. more busy than even 9 a.m. Enjoy your walk, nobody was wearing a face mask but, social distancing was upheld!

I catch the Towpath here at least once a week to ride my bike. Ive rode the whole Towpath and think this is probably the most scenic area of the trail. Jump on and go North, youll pass through Merriman Valley, then get deep into CVNP!

This part of the towpath trail is so beautiful. There seems to be ice skating in winter and camping somewhere.

Really neat metro park! There are tons of different trails. We did one lap on the parcour workout trail. It was a good 25 minute workout similar to circuit training. I cant wait to go back to explore other trails and picnic areas.

Sand Run Park is just a great place for a walk, run, mediate and connects to bike paths all the way to Cleveland. I met a couple that came all the way trough Cali, rented a bike and took off.

Had a great overnight in the primitive camping area while practicing for a backpacking trip. Well marked and easy to find area right off of the towpath trail.

Crowded on weekends which, if you think about it, is good news. Scenic, level, easy family riverside stroll to the confluence of the Little Cuyahoga and back, or connect with longer and more challenging walks.

Very BEAUTIFUL park, with great walking paths. There is the gravel sand like path, that is very level and easy to walk, then there are the hiking paths that wrap around through beautiful scenery and they are a little more strenuous if that is what you like. The restrooms are clean and kept decent (they are put toilets). My dog and I Love this park.

Incredible. Most of the path is a man made elevated walkway, but, that doesnt make it any less amazing.

Sand Run Metro Park is a convenient parking lot to take a short bike ride to Akrons Cascade Park and visit Mustill Store to see how life was back in the days of the Ohio and Erie Canal. However be prepared to take a short detour on Hickory Street and a short but steep 11.1% grade hill over the railroad tracks.
