Nice park with some picnic tables and grills for a picnic. Trails are very well taken care of with lots of stairs and wooden walkways. The Deer Run Trail has lots of good views and is very well marked. Some inclines and declines with loose gravel that could pose risky for younger kids or older adults. Overall a great little park.

Very nice place to visit. No bikes allowed but stairs for the aerobic or sadistic person. Nice views. I had some bug bites enen wearing long pants and hiking boots. Not to overly crowded but, you were never alone on the trails. Even though not too crowded where we were not a masks was to be seen. The day was hot and humid and in general social distancing was the event of the day! Nice quiet place enjoyed being there. The water levels in the river seemed very low. Enjoy when you go.

ONeil Woods is one of my favorite hikes in the area. The loop is around two miles long. There is some elevation change and stairs that can be slippery after rain. Sitting next to Yellow Creek at the bottom is always very peaceful.

It was a beautiful place to hike with easy to follow signage. The Buckeye Trail runs with it in a couple places. Lots of steps!

I have been hiking for years and this is my favorite trail. It has a river flowing through it and you can go to many different places around the river, the river is super good for skipping stones. The bad part is after doing all that there is a big hill that is very challenging. Overall a good trial would recommend.

Such a beautiful trail. Steep, steps, winding path with excellent foliage in the fall

Nice area. Stair are across from the barn if you want to do some sort of aerobics. It was busy. Every MetroPCS this summer has been busy. There is more tranquility here because there are mo buke rides yelling to your left. Thats just nice sometimes. Just to hear the birds or what other nature sounds abound is sometimes very pleasant.

Amazing views and nice trail. Parking lot was full when I arrived and thought the trail would be congested. It wasnt at all. The trail is just short of 2 miles and theres a stop near the river. Great hike!

A nice hiking spot. Rated difficult, several hills and lots of stairs, but nothing crazy. Several picnic tables and a Porta potty. Ample parking even on a lovely Saturday afternoon when it was busy.

We loved this trail and were able to manage it with a toddler, even though it’s labeled difficult. There are quite a few stairs and ups/downs. But it’s beautiful and relatively isolated.

This was my first time at this park. It was really amazing. I loved that the terrain was a bit of a challenge (one point with a lot of stairs). A nice diversity in landscape. The trail goes by a cool barn and there are some great views of the river. There is also an awesome huge American Sycamore along the trail.

I loved this park. It reminds me of hikes Id take as a kid, only more intense. There is a very steep and large ravine. You go down and then up forever, so its good to get your heart pounding! There are stairs that take you down, down, down, the ravine. (Or up depending which direction you go). This is a nice loop trail that is 1.8 miles, but is one of the harder trails in the metroparks. When you get to the bottom there are several places where you can see or even access the stream at the bottom of the ravine.

The deer run trail is challenging but short only 1.8 miles loop trail. The day I went there was not many people around and it was really peaceful. Be mindful that that are quite a few stairs that you need to climb to complete the trail.

It was a wonderful morning hike. A good workout, not a trail for those who have difficulty with stairs or hills. We plan to go back when the leaves start changing, maybe go backwards on the trail as the people we crossed paths with did.It is not 5 star because the toilet facility needs cleaning.

This park has a nice parking area with picnic tables, grills, and toilets. Deer Run trail is a 1.8 mile, mostly dirt path, that takes you through woods to Yellow Creek and back. The west side of the loop winds up the side of the valley while there are stairs up the east side of the loop. Personally, is my favorite park!

Beautiful, isolated - feeling, wooded retreat. Deer Run Trail is surprisingly rugged, especially if walked counterclockwise. Its also scenic beyond what you might expect for a semi-urban midwestern park. Dont miss this one.

Nice place for a hike with a lot of steps, only 1.8 miles long so start at (IRA) Trail Head on River View Rd, this adds a extra 4 miles to your 1.8 mile hike. You can enter the Buckeye Trail just off of IRA Rd across the Train tracks on your left before the split. Lots of downed Trees.
