It was easy to navigate the website and some really great things to see. I was looking for a picture of the cholla catus tree and more information on it and there was some great information on it there
Did the self guided tour (about an hour) but it was nothing of the sort. Staff (Susan and Yonna?) were very available, engaging, and extremely informative. You can touch items in the museum, including a 100+ year old piano! Walked away with a bundle of Yuma insight. A great knowledge booster, a wonderful experience.
We checked out on Google Maps this morning for directions & time. Said it was open Monday to Saturday 10 to 3. We drove 30 miles arriving at 1:30 pm to find everything closed. We were told by a small store nearby that the Museum was usually closed on Monday. Very disappointing. It would be appreciated if you would update your site so people didnt waste their time....not sure if we will go back.
Great staff and great accurate Yuma History! The Ghost tours are very entertaining & FUN!
Took the tour and loved the set up. Only wish was that it was not as windy but they cant controled that.
Very interesting with guide/storyteller with history, mystery and murder in old time Yuma. Definitely worth the $7 donation!
It was smaller than expected. But friendly staff and I liked that we could touch things and sit on the furniture a very interactive experience. The hot tea was great and the gardens are beautiful.
A look into the history of Yuma settlement and development over the years, beginning prior to the damming of the Colorado River. Great way to spend indoor time in downtown Yuma for only $5 per person. The museum is set up like the game of Clue and is a fun way to learn and hunt for information.
If you are into history in general or the history of Yuma/ Arizona, then this place needs to be on your list of places to see when here! You will lrarn so much. I lived there fir 23 years, saw when I first got there and then about 20 years later with a 6th grade field trip; nothing had changed. They really maintain it well.
Went in to inquire about a tour they had and was given all the info but also was given more info about other haunted tours of the area and also well detailed information about how to reserve, times and dates, and also a timeframe for doing so for a wonderful Haunted Yuma experience. They also had some really great items for sale, and a very reasonable tour of the house. Well worth the visit!
This is a must see, learned alot about Yuma that I did not know about.
Very interesting history in story teller manner
A most wonderful evening. The staff makes everyone feel Special. Its a very informative and educational display.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Good informative museum. Gardens need some upkeep.
Nice diversion to walk through the house and gardens. Learned a lot of history.
Wonderful historical events and understanding of Yumas heritage. I recommend the tea events and trolley tour.
Beatiful garden to see, very interesting place full of history. Excellent place to come when visit Yuma. Nice local stores and good food around.
Unfortunately we came to visit Yuma when most of the town was closed for the season.
Recently traveled to Yuma to visit all the historical sites, this was one of them. Going here you will hear stories of how Sanguinetti came to Yuma penniless at just15. How he quickly grew to become a civic-minded businessman whose various enterprises—electricity, ice house, ranching, farming, merchandising, banking, and real estate—advanced his own well-being and that of the community he loved. As you tour the house you get to see a little bit of Yuma history. The ladies that were at the place were very good at explaining the history and you could tell they were excited about sharing the information they had. The garden was a nice place to walk around and see the different plants they had. If you want to learn about Yuma and its history this is one of the place you need to visit.
