Having lived in Vegas since 1975. To compare Hollywood Casino to a Strip resort? You cant. But personally, its better. Locals dont patron Strip resorts. We have local places off the strip. Which are more player friendly. And thats why I love Hollywood casino. And? Theres a race track. Vegas has no race track. So Hollywood Casino has what no casino in Vegas has. Live track. Its clean. Its got all the new games. Its a Vegas local casino. And its very nice. Sports Book. Add a buffet. And open 24 hours. Id never leave. Great place. Be proud Ohio. Or were back to Church Bingo. And parking free. Vegas strip charges for parking now. Glad your here.

Place is decent inside similar to Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh...but the machines are stingy and rarely payout.

Terrible experience. Went for my birthday. My girlfriend and i both have asthma. We wore masks anyway. My girlfriend was asked by a female attendant to cover her mouth with her mask ( her mouth was covered, her nose was not). My girl kindly told the lady she has asthma. They lady says doesnt matter have to cover your mouth with the mask then mumbles words under her breath that i wont write on here. Then we sit down at a machine and have a manager come tell us we have been warned multiple times ( 1 time is obviously multiple in this mans mind) and if we dont wear it we will have to leave. I tell him ok we both have asthma and are trying our best to comply, however its very hard to breathe in these masks. He says doesnt matter what health condition you have, be it copd, asthma, or whatever you have to wear them. I say ok but again we both have underlying health conditions. He says the state mandate requires us to wear them even if we have an underlying health condition. I tell him your dead wrong. I know what the mandate says as i have read it and you sir obviously have as well since you mentioned the underlying health condition. I say whatever how do i cash this machine out? Im leaving and will never be back as i feel discriminated against. He hits the button and says nothing. I cash out while my girlfriend goes to the bathroom. While in the bathroom she talks to a nice older lady that says she has been there for hours and has had her mask down the entire time without being told anything. I guess if you have tattoos piercings and are of native american decent the rules are different for ya at this establishment. I feel the need to go see my attorney first thing Monday morning. Neither of us should have to feel any kind of way because we have a health condition. I believe laws protect us from that!

We rarely win big money but its fun anyways. The music this New Years Eve was a hit. Everyone there seemed to love them. They play mainly all hits everyone knows.

Clean and safe this is the only positive thing to say. No one wins anymore and if they do is peanuts. I never hear about anyone winning... They do all these fancy big win billboards but the average person is there to donate... Not to walk out with a few hundreds like it was when they opened... Its sad

Slots and horse racing only. I didnt see any gaming tables. Good selection of slots, all in good repair, however half were unavailable due to social distancing requirements. Also no self serve beverages for the same reason. I love Ohios smoke-free code.

I am extremely disappointed in how they handled betting for todays Kentucky Derby. Their website advertises that they are open for racing and off track racing. That is not true. They literally have one machine to handle all betting. Management said it is because of regulations and to reduce COVID. So instead of having the main floor open, where people can spread out, they herded the horse players into a single area where it became impossible to maintain distances. No one cleaned the machine between users. The upstairs area, which has many machines and betting windows, was closed for a private party. I finished my $7.00 beer and left without making my bet. I wont visit their establishment again.

Very clean facility slots only but as far as slots go pretty fair payout often lot of jackpots 1200 and up good place to kill a couple hours good live music on weekends good drinks and great stuff lost phone and keys was returned and was very grateful for that

Nice casino that we always enjoy going to. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The casino and bathrooms are kept clean.A great variety of slots to choose from. Parking lot set up is a little weird but there is plenty of parking available.Only complaint would be that some of the kiosks dont work so it can be a pain in the neck to check in.They have a good policy for handling the covid situation. I never feel my health is at risk and can thank their policies for that.

I love that this is a non-smoking casino! There is a smoking section in the back, but for once smokers have to walk through the clean air to get to it, rather than making non-smokers walk through smoke.I also love the floor servers. They work very hard and are very hospitable. They always treat me well and seem genuiniely happy to see me/take my order. They are wonderful, if not overworked and at times understaffed.Security is hit or miss. Many are very nice and supportive. Some, though, expect servers - who work for tips - to enforce safety protocols (like telling patrons to wear masks properly) instead of being supportive as a security enforcer.Some of the veteran VLTs are also exceptional.Hospitality Team Members like Genevieve, Sarah, and Tim are top-notch.Areas in need of improvement are Security, Hospitality Management, and Conflict Resolution/Disputes. Far too many patrons bang aggressively on the machines and swear while playing, yet very little is done to address this behavior. I have witnessed many newer players be turned off by this behavior and not return; when I see them at other casinos they will state this as a reason they dont return to Hollywood.I have observed favoritism and preferential treatment of some VIPs over others of similar status. Ive witnessed that some patrons are allowed to be combative and confrontational, while others are dismissed or reprimanded when in a similar situation. On a personal level, Ive also been told I would be contacted by management as a follow up to a serious problem, including by the GM, and then was never called; consequently, the issue has yet to be resolved, which is disappointing. If I didnt have such a good rapport with some key staff, I could easily allow this to dissuade me from returning and spend my $$ elsewhere. Long story short - I dont feel valued at this casino compared to other establishments where I actually spend less time/money.But I love the convenience of the location and the staff with whom I do have a rapport keep me coming back.

I love Hollywood Gaming because of the fact that I can go there and not be hounded by people I know in my usual city. Its small, its simple and I go and get the job done. & by that I mean winning that smoney!!!

I havent gotten a jackpot yet. So idk what to really rate this place. It is fun to go with your partner just to have fun. Food is high but worth it.

Went twice while visiting back home this month and both times, the machines were tighter than expected. The only game I play at any casino is the Quick Hits Blazing 7’s and typically, at any casino around the nation, bonuses on this game are given at least once or twice for every $20 put into a machine. I put $100 into a machine and got zero bonuses or even small hits that could’ve kept me playing. You could tell that the machines are tight now to make up for lost revenue during the COVID shutdown. I did manage to double my money last week on my second trip there, so I can’t really complain. It was a lucky hit, but otherwise the machines didn’t do too well then either. No free play either.

First off let me say that this is a place you could possibly pick up covid-19. No mask, nobody sanitizing the machines, nobody to take your temperature when you go in, and I only found two hand sanitizer places set up. so if you have serious underlying conditions I would not recommend stopping here at all there are no safety precautions in place at all.Now for the gambling part: I read all of the negative comments, but, I didnt listen, and I went ahead and went to this place to gamble. I am a gambler, who loves to gamble, and usually spend $2,000 each time I go. I have traveled all over the United States, and too many other countries where you can gamble. This place was hands down the worst casino I have ever been to in my entire life. In one hour I spent $900. I did not hit one single thing, nothing, not even a bonus. These machines are so tight that you can tell theyre trying to make up from what they lost been shut down. I even seen people walk out of their crying. Do yourself a favor and do not stop at this place it is the worst casino in the entire state of Ohio.

Got a players card yesterday and after waiting forever in a line with only one window worker (The other worker was for VIP only)I looked at my card when I put the card in the kiosk as instructed and saw that she completely spelt my name wrong and no comps were added to it. Enjoy this place. For truckers: Shuttle or late night security will p/u & drop off from TA or Pilot no truck parking on their property. They offer OTB & Slots gaming. No table games. Thats why I only gave 4 stars. They do have events on schedule times call ahead to find out .

I visited this weekend with friends as part of a holiday outing. Although I did not win very much money, I enjoyed the atmosphere. I was able to get a bit of money as part of my free play, and I also enjoyed the amenities including the complementary coffee.

It appeared to be a nice place however me an my family just moved here from Oklahoma. Where by LAW you can gamble at 18. An they dont harass you about your age as long as youre not gambling. Well me an my 18 year old Son walked in to pick up food. While we waited. He attempted to go get some water. He had just had a seizure recently so I have been keeping a close eye on him. Long story short he was stop by security an after telling them he was with me. An we would leave. They still copied his I.D. treated us VERY rude! And made Him go out the back an it was SUPER cold outside. Never have I ever been treated in such a way. At first I was like wow this is a nice place an its up the street from our new home. But after that experience. I will not go back. As a Ex military police officers. An former Security supervisor for numerous companies. There was a better way to handle that situation. We felt like criminals.

Ive been there at least 10 times in the last 3 years. I have never won anything. Tonight between 3 of us we spent around $1,000 and I won $15 one and $12 and my buddy won$34 and $15 and thats its. Of course there were little $1 and $2 hits here and there. This place is so tight. I highly recommend not going. I get it you dont always win at a casino but we never do. NEVER. Save your money or drive another hour to Rivers casino or Mountaineer in WV. Trust me your odds are very very very slim. The only positive is you get free pop. Sorry to hear the Gift Shop will be closing. Many people redeem points here. Go figure! Not many choices left to redeem points. Racing, simulcast area. ...Saturday 12/28, tables and chairs were removed from the simulcast area, to accommodate reserved section. You took away from daily racing fans that are there year round. Dont take reservations if you cant accommodate the people! Or maybe buy more tables and chairs. Promotions for racing are a joke! If I didnt enjoy simulcast, I would never walk in the door.

I loved Hollywood when it first opened. After a while, it seemed like I could t hit anything. The last time I went I did break even. I started to go to Rivers because it had a more Vegas appeal, it after they get fined for underage drinking the machines tighten up. I only have a couple of complaints about Hollywood.1. It needs to be larger.2. It needs some regular Quarter, and Dollar machines out in the smoking area.3. I don’t understand why this is a problem, but I like to bring my own cup in to gets my soda. I am conscious about the waste from the paper cups. I tried to bring my own cup in once, and was treated like I broke the law. I take my own cup to Rivers and The Meadows with me all the time.4. Too too many penny slots. Not enough higher denominations.I haven’t inquired about recording slot play for my YouTube channel yet. But I can record at my 4 main goes to. I’d love to give you the free advertising on my channel. It’s a win win situation. Plus, you are more local for me. I’ll come check you guys out again sometime soon.
