Been many years since I visited the Arms Museum, but a first at Christmas! Sent me back in time with all the period furniture and superior Christmas decor!! Friendly volunteer staff completed the visit! Youngstown is so fortunate to have this beautiful reminder of the prosperity that existed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. ️️

This a great outing for adults and children during the Holidays. Im surprised so many people dont know about it. Its become my familys Christmas tradition that we always look forward to and the theme changes every year. It never fails to delight and get us in that holiday mood! We like to go early in the Season because this place inspires us to go home and decorate! The old mansion with its beautiful wood paneling, Arts&Crafts windows and elegantly furnished rooms transport you to another time and way of living. And when it is decked out for Christmas it is absolutely stunning! The children in our group were awestruck with the glittering Christmas displays. One year, there were one or more elves on the shelf hiding in every room and the little ones loved looking for them; that was a big hit with them! The vintage and antique toys and ornaments brought back a flood of memories for the older folks. Check their schedule for extras, like holiday crafting and games. Give yourself plenty of time for those activities,there were a lot to do and all of them were fun! A huge thank you to the dedicated volunteers that make this possible every year! Its a beautiful holiday gift to the area!

We found it very interesting. It had historical items from all different eras presented in an understandable and enjoyable way. In the basement they had interactive things to do. So many of the items were so beautiful and fascinating. We would recommend it for a visit. I would allow at least an hour.

Brought my and wife’s parents here for a Christmas getaway. Our second time visiting the museum during the holidays and everyone enjoyed the experience. The museum was decorated for Christmas and every room was an adventure. A must see during a visit to Youngstown.

Such a beautiful, unique place to visit. Christmas is the best time to go. I have gone three years in a row.I do have to say the previous Christmas displays were a lot more impressive than this year.
