Fun place, but the owners need to cool the Temps down. All the games make it very warm inside. Lots of arcade cabinets from 80s to 2000s, including a nice selection of pinball machines. However, some of the games tend to need repair. If a game isnt fully functional, is it even worth having?

The place is cool but there arent many child appropriate games. Dont play the claw machines because they will eat your money. Its cheap only charging ten bucks per hour but kind of boring. Whats cool though is that there are a lot of adult games or older eighties games plus BYOB between 9pm -2am

This is a great spot to play some old school games and relive your childhood. The cost is cheap and you can stay as long as you want. There are many places to grab a bite right near so it makes it so convenient to make a whole day of it and explore downtown. Stop in an try to beat my high scores! Haha!

Really fun place and fairly priced with lots of pinball and shooter options. The one thing I dont recommend is having parties here. The website makes it seem like you get a room separated in the back but its this partially roped off are at the front of the arcade. Its a pretty small area. You can BYOB after a certain time of the evening when its adults only. Had a great time and would consider going back

Brings me back to my 80s childhood when I was 9, and I have a 9 year old (birthday TODAY). Got to share a stellar evening of retro games with him. Great selection. Well maintained. Great staff/owners. Great potential for the citys future in York (if treated properly). I highly recommend!

A great place for a date, time with friends, or to bond with your kid. Great selection of games- I particularly like the side by side games- giant Ms. Pacman for up to four is great and wish they had a few more. Impressive pinball from more than four decades. $10 an hour of unlimited play and BYOB. With a great fridge if beers across the street and a new Wine and Spirits up the block its super convenient.

Our group had a really great time in this arcade. There were 5 games that werent working during our visit, no big deal for most but a let down for a person in our group that was wanting to play a specific game. The Guitar Hero game is annoyingly turned up to an insane volume and plays a continuous demo when no one is playing, it completely drowns out the sound of many of the other games you are trying to play in the immediate vicinity.

Not all games worked. Some games started but we were not sure if controls were working. Balls in ball toss are in bad shape. Basketball shoot was decent, air hockey was good. It was our first time here. My nine year-old son enjoyed the outing but agreed that it was not the best use of our $20 ($10/hr/person)

Love this place and had a great time with our family there. I didnt get the attendants name (I apologize for that) but she noticed our daughter was upset she couldnt play to win a toy so she offered her a small toy right before we left which meant the world to her. It was the gesture that was much appreciated and her going out of her way to help our daughter when one of the games werent working. These are vintage games and we know that so we reiterated not to play hard on them and all was fine. She was actually fascinated more by the attendant showing her how they work, lol. Thank you again for a great time and we will back.

This is a fun stop on a date night after a few drinks around town. They charge by the hour which is nice. Plenty of pin ball machines and shooting games, I just wish they had air hockey or a few more games of that sort since you can get bored of the other options before your hour is up. Other than that its a great place and I will visit again.

Decent place a little bit pricey and when I visited some of the games were either not working or turned off for some reason. Driving by it looks to have gained some new titles recently and still a fun place if you have the extra money to throw away. You pay per time slot ie; 15/30/60min at a time and all machines are on free play. They do sell drinks and some snacks but did not have BYOB like the Hanover location when I was there. This may have changed since then.

My three friends and I had an awesome experience at the Timeline Arcade. From what I recall, years ago, the Hanover location had more machines, but was much more cramped and in a two story building. It is also BYOB after 9:00 PM! A lot of fun going to the arcade rather than the bar! Pricing is extremely affordable at an hourly rate rather than per play. No need for quarters either. My friends and I will surely be back soon!

Timeline Arcade is a great place to have fun! If youre looking to spend an hour gaming, this is the spot! They also have an all-day package, and its definitely worth while! Also, after 9PM, anyone over 21 is allowed to being their own 6-pack of beer! So, that certainly helps for us grownups wanting to have a drink and play some retro games!Staff is friendly, great atmosphere, and pricing is good too! At $10/hour or $25 for the day, you get plenty of bang for your buck!

My group and I bought all day passes. We were very happy with the price and the fact that as long as you have a wristband, you can come and go as you please. The arcade is very clean, no dust anywhere, and most or all of the machines work very well. The womans bathroom is spotless and does not stink whatsoever, however I am not sure about the mens room, seeing as I cannot go there. Ive seen other people saying that parking may be an issue, but my group and I found a parking garage thats open to everyone nearby, about a 5 minute walk from the arcade. We had no problems with it. I would 100% recommend Timeline Arcade for a group activity or a date. I had so much fun!

This place is so cool! I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday and he and I both had a blast. We got the all day passes so we could stay as long as we wanted and ended up staying for just shy of 9 hours. Almost everything worked exactly as it should, and the few that didnt, we said something and they looked at it to see what they could do to fix it. They even have soda and chips for sale so if youre playing too hard you have something to eat. 11/10 got my moneys worth.

The arcade is awesome. So many retro games that makes your head spin All For One price. Weve been to both locations now. We honestly like the one in Hanover better. The only thing that I would change is that they would have better parking and Hanover they only have a tiny parking lot that fits maybe eight cars and its very hard to get in and out of. Otherwise its off street parking and the York location is only off street parking. The venue itself is anything and everything a vintage gamer can ask for. I must admit the employees and the owner also really nice and accommodating. Always there to give you a nice dinner recommendation.

1. The lights on the ceiling create a glare on all of the pinball machines glass. With the pinball machines the glare was over top of the bumpers. It made it a little difficult to see them unless I stood back a little bit and leaned forward. Perhaps my height just gave me a bad angle, and people shorter or taller than me might not have that issue due to a different viewing angle.2. The 6 player dual screen X-Men cabinet is not located in a good position. The Dance Dance Revolution game next to it is so close that it blocks some of the floor space in front of the cabinet. I had one foot on the floor and one foot on the Dance Dance Revolution platform, so I could play with a specific character. There was also a glare on the right side of the cabinet coming from the window. Please please please dont get rid of the X-Men cabinet though. I want to return and play it again. But the place is great overall. I spent 4.5 hours there today and played several fun games. The $25 all day pass with unlimited play of every game is nice. I want to check out the Hanover location sometime soon. That Ghostbusters pinball machine has the coolest scream.

Awesome place for the price. Not only do they have old arcade games, but they also have an old box TV (you know the kind. Theyve got wooden paneling and theyre basically furniture) with old gaming systems such as an SNES, as well as a PS4 and one other console I didnt catch. All the games are labelled with which decade they were made which is cool. Was hoping for some more newer arcade games, but what they have is definitely rad, especially for the price. I don’t usually write reviews but felt people should know ahead of time, this is the second time now my wife and I have come to timeline arcade and paid money to play vintage games only to find out after getting in that at least 5 of the games (and there’s only about 15-20 total) are broken or turned off with an out of order sign. Total waste of money and time, if I’m going to spend my hard earned money I expect the games to work, and it’s not just a case of “sometimes the games break down” because some of the machines broken today were the same ones that were broken last time we were in 5 months ago (MTV drumscape), and when you mention it to the employee on duty you get a “oh sorry” brief response and that’s it. Won’t be coming back.
