We loved our experience in Lemoyne with this company and were not surprised that we had just as much fun here. The excitement begins the second you step from the street into the building. The parlor is eclectic and frivolous, but somehow still quaint and not overwhelming or tacky. The pop-up rule books are just another unique detail. And you can bet the room will be just as carefully constructed. But when youre lost, the host is attentive and ready to help you along. Alex did just as great for us in York as Declan did in Lemoyne. Escape Games Live appears to be a terrific and savvy company!

We had a fabulous time at this escape room! They did an amazing job providing directions and setting up expectations - much better than my experience at other escape rooms. The details in this place are amazing! It is obvious that they care about their product and the customer experience! I love the themes. A very nice variety. The level of difficulty was about perfect. Before going, we decided we wanted to do all 3 of their rooms (Sherlock, 80s, Jungle) but the times didn’t line up right. A quick email & phone call later we had 3 rooms booked in a row with no issue.Upon arriving, we were impressed by the sleek look of the business (great job on the hallway!). We were met by an enthusiastic game master who would be leading us through the rules & the first 2 games. Unfortunately, the first two rooms quickly went downhill due to issues with our game master and hints being received. The rooms themselves were good, but we weren’t able to experience them properly.The 3rd room (Jungle) we had a different game master and were able to enjoy that one.Afterwards, we contacted Escape Games Live with feedback and they were FANTASTIC in working with us to understand our issues and resolve concerns. Even though we had a sub-par experience, the customer service alone will have me trying more of their rooms if I’m ever in the area again.
Came here with 5 of us for a birthday surprise for my two daughters, we did the Jungle Room. Had SO MUCH fun, we came back later that same night for another room experience - 6 of us this time. We chose the 80s room. Very awesome!! Alex, our host, was amazing, alot of fun and added to the whole fun time. THANK YOU Escape Room Live York...well see you next time

Freaking best place in York! Really cool and different from boring bowling. You have the room to yourself for your group and no need to worry about covid when you are there. My husband and I decided to take our granddaughter and her boyfriend for her birthday. She chose the Mad Doc room. When we pulled into the parking lot, I wasn’t expecting much. Boy, was I wrong!!This place is amazing in every way - even the bathrooms are awesome!! We were greeted by Alex, who went over everything we needed to know, then set off on our task. With Alex’s help, we managed to escape with only 4 minutes left. It was fun, exciting and challenging!!We all highly recommend Escape Live and can’t wait to go back!!

We just visited Escape Games York location last night with 5 of our friends and we did the Jungle room. We were impressed with this company start to finish and all of us had done various other escape rooms with other agencies in the area and none compared to the quality of both the props and puzzles as well as the staff of this facility. From a last minute booking over the phone literally just hours before we showed up to being a bit late getting in the staff was accommodating through the entire process and were even patient with our overly inquisitive group. The room itself was decorated very well and was a completely unique experience being 100% in the dark, great puzzles that were different from the usual things you find in most escape rooms with enough of the typical things you would expect to keep it somewhat solve able without being a genius or escape room veteran, we had a fairly experienced group and still required several necessary hints but did manage to just barely escape in 56 minutes 30 seconds. For this being their hardest room we did feel that it was very enjoyable from start to finish and was not so insanely complicated that you would have no chance of ever finishing in time like many of the hardest rooms at other escape room venues. Great job escape games live, we look forward to doing the other rooms there.
We are a local company and decided to take our Leadership Team to Escape Games Live - York for a team building exercise. The host was funny and the showdown room was top notch. The structure provided good camaraderie and team challenges.The cheesy group of four were the winners. We would recommend the experience to families and professionals alike, we will definitely be back.
We had never done anything like this before but with two grandsons who get straight As (ages 18& 21) and a criminal lawyer in the family, we figured we could do this!! It was challenging and we did pretty well but didnt solve the problem in time. There was confusion about the price quoted and the owner was very accommodating giving us a voucher for a future Escape night. We appreciated it and will definitely return
Thank you Jonathon!! Our group was only 3 people and we had the hardest room (Jungle room). It was so much fun, I would highly recommend and hopefully I’ll be back to try another room! He gave hints at the perfect time, just as we were getting frustrated and when we couldn’t finish in time he graciously gave us another 5 minutes so we could get the satisfaction of solving it. So much fun!
My family and I (four adults, four kids 12-17) escaped the Sherlock room and had a blast doing it. Everyone agreed it was our favorite escape room experience, partly because of the friendly, funny and helpful host, and mostly because of the great puzzles in the room. Cant wait to try another room next year.

Amazing venue! Hosts work hard to make sure you know what youre about to experience! Did the Sherlock room and really enjoyed it despite never being a huge fan of the character. Puzzles were fun and exciting!

Awesome experience! We had a group of four, and none of us had ever done an escape room before. We had chosen to do the Precinct room and were successfully able to escape. Our host, James, was very helpful in explaining what to expect in the room, and was also very funny. The hour in the room basically flew by, and the puzzles were very engaging. Overall, we had a great experience and we all definitely want to do another escape room in the future!
We did the Mad Doctor room at the Lemoyne location. We LOVED it! It was so much fun! Mike was a great host too! He gave us just the right clues. And I loved that he did a recap of the room at the end so we saw exactly how everything was done since we broke up in little groups to work on the different things. Definitely will be back once The Precinct moves there since we already did the 80s room. The 80s room was so much fun too!!!
Love this place my in laws set these up for the family we are 3 for 3 at this location we did the jungle today the most fun ive had so far no spoilers but i must say it felt good to be part of the 30 something % success rate
Our Host was funny and helpful, the room we did had plenty of puzzles that five of us worked on separately to solve. If it seemed like we were getting stuck on something, they host would point us in the right direction with a clue slipped through the door or a phone call. We did the Sherlock room, we made it out in time and we all had a Great time! Our group of 5 ranged from a 14 to 50 and we would Gladly do it again!
Imagine...you find yourself in an office in Victorian England....in a mad doctors lab/office... racing against the clock to retain or break out prisoners... deep in the jungles of South America... all within 100 feet walking distance! Add to that an immersive, interactive, 4-player virtual reality experience! An ecclectic, steampunk, cozy decor with party space, and the most amazing staff you could ask for!
This place is great! We did the 70s room and it was well-done. Legit 70s feel, and creative clues. A fun evening out for a group! I recommend trying it.

Went with a group of 4 and (barely) completed the Sherlock room. We had a great time, thoroughly enjoying the puzzle and experience, and are already planning to return. James (AKA The Captain as well as Not Alex) was a great host, who absolutely contributed greatly to our overall fun.Id definitely recommend this business. Two in our party had each done an escape room once before (elsewhere), and two were brand new, and we all agreed this was a great time, and good value.
Staff was engaging and enthusiastic. Rooms were very well decorated and the puzzles were challenging. I will return.
We brought our godson for his 16th birthday. First, we showed up insanely early, but our host Johnathan was very accommodating and showed us where we could solve puzzles in the waiting room. Weve been to several escape rooms across the country, and the intro. here was by far the most engaging. The room itself was so much fun with an interesting theme and lots to do. Jonathan was great with monitoring us and notifying us if we got something completely wrong. Honestly, weve been to escape rooms where the hosts didnt care if we were having fun or succeeding, but Johnathan was overall fantastic. Well definitely be back!!

Super fun!! Took my 11 year old daughter and her 2 friends. She chose one of the hardest rooms, The Jungle. Very challenging, but really fun! We had the greatest time, and I will be going back to do the other rooms. Our host: Captain Kirk was so nice, helpful and funny! This was our first time and we chose the best place!I highly recommend this for kids and adults. I plan on getting a group of my friends together to do the Showdown Room. Also, the big waiting room has mini locks and puzzles. The entire place is covered in antiques, art and whimsical decor. I really cant say enough about Escape Games Live!
The atmosphere is astounding, the hosts are entertaining, and the games were challenging and unique. Probably the best escape room Ive ever been to.

Alex was our host for the evening, we had a group of 8 for the Sherlock room. We werent sure what to expect as none of us had done an escape room before. It was so much better than we anticipated, we were all able to be busy working on tasks in small groups. We got out in 59:50, ten seconds to spare. We will be going back very soon for sure. It was easily the best group activity weve ever done!
DO THIS. Went with my family for my moms birthday - 5 of us total - and it was a great time. Weve never done one so I had no idea what to expect, and it did not disappoint. Our room was a medium level, The Precinct. I think our host was Alec? Alex? Bearded guy with glasses - and he was super nice and informative. Everyone was totally entertained and engaged the entire time, and we were provided clues when necessary, so there was a constant progression in the escape. We got out in time, and seriously wanted to do every room immediately after - the hour flew by. They will be moving soon, not far away - the empty building on Market beside Sam & Tonys, and cant wait to see what they do with it!

Employee was enthusiastic and very helpful. Room was easy enough to solve in an hour with a group of 6. Everything was explained clearly. Building was wonderfully decorated and clean! Ample free parking behind building was a huge plus!
Escape Games Live has become our favorite escape room company, and our family has enjoyed going there every time. The entire place looks like an escape room from the moment you enter the building, and the main waiting room has a couple puzzles to solve before you get started.The last time we were there our friendly host Alex was so entertaining we took our time bantering back and forth with him as he explained the rules before we started. (Every escape room has to have the admonition to never stick a piece of metal into an electric outlet, and here is no exception.) There were no groups after us, so once we felt ready he showed us to the room and we got started.This time we did the Seventies room, and it was solidly jam-packed with nostalgic goodness. There lots of locks to get through, and lots of clever puzzles that fit the theme perfectly. Half the fun was not merely solving the puzzles, but seeing the puzzles they incorporated in the first place. We always have a great time here, and we cant wait to go back to keep trying every different room that they come up with.
This place was AWESOME! I have come here with my wife and in-laws for two years in a row on New Years Eve. I can say that we certainly plan to keep the tradition! The host, James (Captain Kirk), was super friendly, funny and helpful. We have now done the 70s room and The Precinct, both of which have been spectacular and unique. Its also conveniently located next to good food and convenient parking. I would highly recommend this for a family or friend outing!

Escape Games Live in York is fantastic! Alex was a fun and informative game host and we loved his enthusiasm. We solved the Sherlock Room and it was challenging and the variation of puzzles kept us on our toes. We escaped only 12 seconds over the 60 min goal! Highly recommended.

Highly recommend going to do an escape room - especially with family and friends! We went for my mother-in-laws birthday, as a group of 7 and had a blast! Our host was Alex and he was super friendly and helpful. Once we started our escape room he PERFECTLY timed the hints, and we were able to complete the room in about 55 minutes (they give you 60 minutes to complete a room with an extra 10 minute grace period if youre close to finishing).I didnt know what to expect going into it, but we all agree we would LOVE to do more/fully intend on going back!

Love love love this!!! My family of four (two young boys) tried the seventies room and while we didnt make it in an hour it was enjoyable for all of us. Karen was our awesome host who gave us hints when we needed them most...she was wonderful! Things to work on together for all ages. Loved it!

The guy who gave us the rundown of the place and the rules of the room was really nice. He helped us along the way, and we went over our allotted time by a couple minutes. After we escaped, we ended up talking to the guy who runs the place. He asked about our majors and colleges and how we all met, etc. He was very nice and it made the whole experience that much better. Love escape rooms, never had a bad experience, and Ive been to four or five different ones!
I had the opportunity to do the Sherlock Room a couple of nights ago and had a blast! The room was designed beautifully, with some really great touches and we had to work hard to figure out some of the puzzles! Thank you, so much, Jen, for being a fantastic host! It made the game a one of a kind experience!
We escaped from the 70s room and had a blast. The room was well balanced for beginners, challenging our puzzle solving skills while still able to be solved in under 60 minutes. Our host, Whitney, was also very helpful and kind, supplying us with helpful hints and needed. We would love to go back again sometime.

Best first experience!!! Karen and her crew there gave us a comfortable atmosphere. The game room we were in had tons of puzzles to figure out and well organized. We cant wait to try to escape every room they have.

Theyve got their act together at Escape Room Live in York. Fun decor with a great sense of humor. Escape the 70s was a great first experience for the Jr high/Sr high kids in our family. About an average difficulty with lots of clever 1970s toys & props. Hubs was surprised by how much 70s trivia I knew (not really necessary to complete the room, btw). Finished with a little less than 15 min to go. Now the kids are hooked! Mission accomplished.
Escape Games Live hosted a team building event for us, and it was a blast! We used 4 rooms (Showdown x2, Sherlock, and Jungle), and our three hosts (Jen, Lili, and Karen) were absolutely wonderful! They provided helpful hints when teams got stuck on a puzzle and took group photos for us afterwards. Everyone had a great time, and I hope that were able to go back again next year!
We enjoyed playing Sherlocks Office today. Captain Kirk was a great host and helped us several times when we went off course. I would recommend the challenge at Escape Games Live.

So much fun!! Really well thought out rooms and helpful staff who will give you hints if they notice youre struggling. The prices are good too. Definitely a 10/10 would recommend! Fun for the whole family - really puts your brains and communication skills to the test! Kind staff also!

Its a unique experience. I would be interested to see what some of the other rooms are like. Ours seemed to force you to solve clues in a certain order, so a lot of time could be wasted trying to make sense of something only to unlock an answer key later.

The escape room was a lot of fun. We went with a group of 5 people, and there were enough puzzles so that all of us had something we were doing without feeling like we were stepping on other peoples shoes.They would give you hints if you got stuck, and the hints were good without completely giving away the puzzle. We escaped in 55 minutes, I think it was.Thanks Buffy and the rest of the staff here. You guys got me addicted to these escape rooms!
